Pound slumps to all-time low against dollar

Perhaps where you lived. Where I live nothing could make it more boring than what it already is. I didn't find it "interesting" as much as annoying. -
For many, Thailand’s UN vote on Russia still a puzzle

Of course not all share my opinion, just as not all share yours. -

I can agree that the world is changing, but IMO the winner won't be the greedy, decadent, soft, bogged down in stupidities west. If, as you believe, Thailand is choosing a side, IMO they are choosing the winning side.- 189 replies

I blame the media frenzy to find dirt on any politician, especially if of the "wrong" political persuasion. IMO no sane person would subject themselves or their family to that sort of media abuse. -
5555555555555555555 What makes you think I'm a Trump "loyalist". Never watched his stupid tv show, don't care about some rich guy in America. All I cared about was that IMO she was a worse choice for president, and as leader of the free world would have been bad for all of us in the west. Perhaps you didn't notice, but he didn't start any wars during his time as president. Good job on that! I "supported" Bernie as a threat to Wall Street, but Trump was the only option after they sabotaged Bernie. If I continue to "support" Trump, it is because Biden IMO is a disastrous president. AS to your contention that Trump is guilty ( despite not being convicted ), if he is found guilty it's not a problem for me, as looks like Biden is going to lose the house next month, so problem partly solved. I just hope the GOP can come up with a winner for the '24 election.

I doubt anyone says that capitalism is about equality ( it's not ). What it is is equality of opportunity to get rich. Go to school, learn stuff, work hard, be smart and anyone can get wealthy. Ask anyone that is a qualified plumber, or an electrician etc about making money. You left white people off your list- plenty of poor white people about.

Well said. Talking sense there. In London the English appeared to be outnumbered by those from elsewhere, and I worked with people of different skin colour and from many different countries, some of which were in Africa. My manager was a Malaysian, her deputy was a Chinese Malaysian, some sub managers were of African descent. If the claim that Britain is racist was even slightly true, all the managers of every grade would have been of British origin.

BS. How does sending them to Rwanda put them at risk? The risk they face is crossing the channel in rubber boats. Are you suggesting that everyone in Rwanda is "at risk" or that those sent from Britain should be treated better than the citizens of Rwanda? If they don't want to go to Rwanda the answer is simple- stay in the first safe country they come to, instead of trying to get to Britain in a rubber boat.
