Ordinary citizens can only go there on organised tours, and if they tried leaving they would die. Antarctica is a vast continent with zero way of living off the land, except the coasts where penguins and seals live, and then only in a few places and usually only in summer. The amount of equipment and buildings required to live there is immense and requires a massive supply during the few weeks that ships can get to the land, through the pack ice.

I disagree. IMO it's going to be a depression and one that will make the 1930s one look like a recession. Why? because there are too many people that contribute nothing to society- just drones, and we know what happens to drones. Like the 1930s, it will affect the entire human world, and like the 1930s will end in a world war. IMO.

In my case I ignore posters that insult me or others constantly, and there are a lot that I don't see now. It's not a question of only posters I agree with, as there are loads of differing opinion posters that don't think insults are a valid option. If a poster can't post without insulting other posters, then I'm not interested in what they have to say anyway.

A "fireproof roof" probably helped, but I'm puzzled that Americans apparently have flammable roofs. I've never seen a roof that wasn't fireproof, but I haven't been to the US. Obviously they do things differently there.
