  1. Perhaps this government's, any government's, mission should be to eliminate violence against women and girls as soon as possible? This sort of pussy footing mealy mouthed approach to such matters is the reason the country is in the mess it is.
  2. To be honest, he rather outed himself with that astonishing TV interview! A performance so self entitled, self centred, narcissistic and bearing only a passing relationship with the truth as to be "Trumpian". Trump is now doing the same, albeit in slow motion! Witness today's relevations that "Epstein stole my people" - how amazing, narcissistic and seemingly typical, that "Epstein stole these girls from me", painting himself' for goodness' sake as the victim! Children, trafficked for sex from your club, with it seems your knowledge. You are not the victim, you are not innocent.
  3. You don't agree, fine, how about evincing some concrete examples then. Your answers to the points I made sound like an updated version of Animal Farms chants " four legs good, two legs bad"!
  4. Well he has certainly managed a number of remarkable achievements over the last six months. He has managed to effectively make the executive branch - the Presidency - the only real functioning branch of government. The other two, supposedly equal branches of government, Congress and the Courts are reduced to virtual impotence, congress meakly acquiesces to its functions, responsibility and powers being stripped away, and the Courts are equally sidelined by his hold on the Supreme Court. He has managed to flout the Constitution in so many ways, introducing effectively detention without trial, putting Federal Troops on the streets and opening concentration camps. He has continued with his multitude of grifting operations to increase his personal wealth, even accepting as a gift a multi million dollar luxury aircraft from a foreign country - so much for the $480 cap on gifts! He has brought pressure to bear on the media to toe his line, and is attempting to do the same to the Universities. He has destroyed to all intents and purposes many of the arms of government whose work benefited the people, effectively destroyed the health care and social care safety nets. Agriculture is shagged, and the effects of his antagonistic trade policies will increase inflation for US consumers. Yes, he certainly has produced some notable achievements. He has broken so much, Internationally and domestically that I for one think it likely that the USA will never recover.
  5. Examination of a witness under oath in court last year rather indicated that his balls, and umh, shall we say, associated equipment are definitely not "big".
  6. Yes, I too struggle with the concept of Donald Trump and libraries!
  7. The ultimate grift! They will have to be careful where they fit the inevitable golden khazi; that sort of weight could affect the flying characteristics of the aircraft!
  8. I'm not sure that the appeal is terribly relevant or connected with her meetings with the #2 at the Justice Department, who is effectively here acting as the Presidents fixer. The appeal has been in the system for quite some time, the meetings however are more likely along the lines of "say what we want and we will let you go", with quite possibly a side dish of "or else"!
  9. Particularly the way his caddy dropped the ball as the President sprang elegantly from his little electric buggy. Was that before or after the clip where his caddy was caught dropping the ball?
  10. I would agree that the impression left by this most bizarre of press conferences were incredible! Albeit not perhaps in the way you intend. A bizarre, and very embarrassing stream of narcissistic semi consciousness!
  11. Given that the Chinese have a significant naval presence at the Riem navy base adjacent to those bases " hitting those beaches" and advancing on to Phnom Penh might have unintended consequences, no matter how "bad ass" the marines might be! The debacle at the Chosin Reservoir springs to mind!
  12. You did omit several other significant differences however: the UK does have a fairly large third party, the Liberal Democrats - although I grant you it is difficult to define where they stand on anything, they are like a windsock, point in the direction of the prevailing wind; the only thing you can say with any certainty is that they are neither liberal nor particularly democratic! The Celtic fringes have their own nationalist parties, which are predominantly left wing and impact principally on the Labour party. And then of course there is Reform UK, right wing, and currently making a very strong showing in the polls - although of course in the heat and pressures of a general election campaign they may crash and burn spectacularly as did their previous iterations. Personally, I regret the absence of a cynical slightly right of centre party to reflect my own views! I suppose I would plump for Kemi Badenoch, if only because (whisper it quietly) I find that gap in her front teeth disturbingly sexy!
  13. Lived by the sword, died by the (pork) sword!
  14. Given the exorbitant prices charged by Easy Jet for sandwiches, he may have been shouting about Alan's Snackbar costing a bomb!
  15. Personally, the jury is out on homeopathy, copper bracelet works for me, and I think the whole crystal business is rubbish. Quite keen on vaccines though. l knew the leading British anti vaccination activist Andrew Wakefield at school. He was a particularly nasty bully!
  16. I have just watched the Video of his press conference with Ms Von Der Leyen. Utterly astonishing! I can only conclude that he has been on a special training course; after all he could not surely be such an absolute plonker naturally?
  17. JAG replied to Boxenluder's topic in Isaan
In either Roi Et or Chum Phae?
  18. Perhaps we need to give it time - and see specifically what the EU (and indeed the UK) does in the end buy from the USA. The trouble with giving it time of course is that in due course, without doubt, Mr Trump will have a hissy fit about mean and nasty countries (real, imagined or to deflect from some domestic <deleted> storm), lash out and kick over the card table! New or increased tarrifs are his "go to" reaction whenever he has a tantrum! Anyway, despite that inevitability, you continue to exult about "winning". Don't you have even a nagging little doubt about the inflationary pressures that 15% will build into your economy? And if that 15% tax hike ('cos that is what it is) means that people stop buying European products, well that of course works both ways...
  19. Hardly massive painted on an old single bed sheet and held by two people!
  20. I don't think that this is the case with this chap, I just think he has slipped his handlers and stopped taking his meds!
  21. Lost me there - I don't follow rounders I am afraid!
  22. I'm sure it's there in The Laptop! There I've said it, I'm sure you feel more at home now chaps, familiar territory and all that!
  23. I understand that the forthcoming State Visit is to feature the unveiling of the statues of three notable US Presidents in Parliament Square: George Washington - he never told a lie, Richard Nixon - he never told the truth, Donald Trump - he couldn't tell the difference!
  24. You know sometimes you do come out with some really funny posts - intentionally or not, I don't know!
  25. The thought of Donald J Trump clad in a Jockanese fighting frock, is really rather disturbing, especially if he is clutching a wee tot!
