US Social Security
Yes, but it was a very loud post, in a really big font, which means it conclusively wins the argument! Surely you have been around long enough to know that posting "FACT" at the start of a claim or statement means it is absolutely incontrovertible, one might say it trumps any argument!

Aha, I see the flaw in your argument!

Tommy Robinson Held in Isolation Amid 'murder threats' Over Prison Tensions with Muslims
The Home Office Sentencing Guidelines tell us that prisoners sentenced to determinate sentences of less than 2 years are normally released after 40% of their sentence is derived, which means that he should be released some time in mid May. Interestingly the Labour Councillor in Kent accused of publicly calling for murder of anti immigration protesters (who committed his offence some months before Robinson was jailed) will still be awaiting trial in May. Mind you, I am sure that there will be ample reasons to keep Robinson banged up beyond the 40% served point. Not of course that we have a two tier justice system in the UK, for offences which might be considered politically motivated, of course not!

Trump Eyes Rarely Used Alien Enemies Act for Deportation Plans
Not me, the big boys did it and then ran away! A week ago, last Saturday he announced that he had signed the order. Now he tells a barefaced lie, denying he did it. He is a lying lier, who lies! Even Dr Goebbels who rather wrote the authoritarian handbook on telling the big lie would not have lied so blatantly!

So now they are terrorists.
I would be surprised if there are any coherent records. This was staged to establish a precedent that expulsions can be arranged without any oversight, judicial or otherwise, based on an obsolete and discredited 240 year old law which was never intended for any situation remotely like this. Honan's blackshirts, empowered by Trumps Sharpie scrawl, simply rounded up enough brown Spanish speakers to fill the 3 aircraft they had available, from whatever detention centres they could get into in time, bussed them to the aircraft and up, up and away; record keeping and screening was probably non existent. It all had to be done quickly to avoid any judicial oversight or actions to stop it. " Brown, check, Latino check, Spanish speakers check, empty the cells, chain 'em together, on the bus with them and away they go", to disappear. Once in El Salvador they may as well be dead - they quite possibly could be within the next year or so. Precedent established, now they need to stop this being forbidden. If they manage to do this, then the future is looking very dark!

I didn't realise that sort of thing was available in Poole - I had imagined that you had to go up the coast to Southampton for that level of sophistication!

The Dangers of Special Protections: Why an Islamophobia Law Is Unnecessary
Votes, more particularly, votes in certain seats, significantly Labour " heartland" seats which have a high Muslim population. These communities continue the "tribal political traditions" of the country, (let us not mince around the topic - Pakistan) from which they come. A relatively small number of "leaders" control voting patterns through the clan and extended family systems, aided by extensive use and manipulation of postal voting. On of the "side effects" of the last election was the emergence, and some success, of independent "Muslim" candidates. Previously the block vote had gone to Labour, now it is not so reliable. They (Labour) are worried.

UK Spends £99 Million on Electric Cooking Initiatives in Africa and Asia
Without wishing to be picky, but this will significantly increase demand for electricity, the generation of which, using the fuels available in rural Africa ( poor quality open cast lignite probably), is likely to involve significant pollution. People who rely on scavenged firewood for cooking are unlikely to have the cash to pay for more electricity - if they have an electricity supply in the first place! All a bit pointless I would suggest. There are plenty of other projects in rural Africa on which £99 million could be spent for much more benefit - clean water supply for example.

US Deports Hundreds of Alleged Venezuelan Gang Members Despite Court Order
I have, as you both know, posted in opposition to the movement of these people for the purpose of incarceration by a third party. I posted as I believe it is wrong, because they were assembled, rounded up, whatever the phrase used, under a 240 year old law, intended to be used in wartime, and which has been thoroughly discredited. If these people were convicted criminals they should be serving the sentences handed down by the courts which convicted them, and or deported to their country of origin as ordered by the courts. If they are accused of crimes then they should be tried, and if convicted, be imprisoned and or deported. If they are illegally in the USA then they should be brought before the appropriate courts and deported to their country of origin. Those are their human rights. Instead they have been arbitrarily transported, to another country, which will incarcerate them (under pretty savage conditions) for a year or possibly longer, paid for by the US. No court has authorised that arbitrary detention. There appears to have been no judicial involvement, purely an executive order. That order and the process it initiated, when challenged by a court, continued in effect. The judge who intervened said that transporting them was not to happen, and that the flights should return to US. That the flights were in "international airspace" when the order was issued is a particularly feeble excuse to flout the judges order. So their "human rights" have been severely infringed. Human rights are often an inconvenience, and with good reason, they prevent miscarriages of justice. A very dangerous precedent has been set. Presidential fiat is being used to short circuit the law, and ignore the law when it responds. I am not surprised at @thaibeachlovers response, I rather thought that @Eloquent pilgrimwould have had rather more respect for the rule of law - obviously not. I received one other reply, one of the more regularly vituperative posters snarled that I should have been put in the prison with them. That post was removed in short order. It has been a very bad couple of days for the rule of law in the USA.

US Deports Hundreds of Alleged Venezuelan Gang Members Despite Court Order
Under the US immigration rules if they were found to be illegal immigrants they can of course be deported to their countries of origin. They weren't deported to their countries of origin though were they, they were rounded up, without any apparent judicial process, under a dubious application of a 250 year old law, itself intended for use in wartime, and sent post haste to a third country, which it would appear has been paid to take them. There, in that third country, they will be incarcerated in conditions which are internationally condemned. They will be kept, without having been convicted or remanded, for at least a year. No charge, no court hearing, no conviction. They have, effectively, been "disappeared" A legal sanction was available, deport them to Venezuela. Instead they were sent to a third country which is being paid to detain them indefinitely. They may be criminals, but that has to be proven before they are jailed. That is what courts are for. Even as criminals, even as foreigners, even as blood polluting brown people, they have rights. El Salvador and the Trump administration are mocking the courts. I wonder how many, perhaps were legally resident, or even maybe US citizens? We will never know, they have effectively disappeared. Is there even a list of names? I would bet it wouldn't happen if they were white!

Who Will Lead the Democratic Party in 2028? The Battle for Leadership Begins
I half anticipate something along the lines of: "I had the (bigliest) mandate of all time in my greatest ever landslide win in 2024. The corrupt judiciary/traitorous democrats/obstructive bureaucrats/nasty media/ deep state/ treasonous liberals have not allowed me to fulfill that mandate, therefore, in the name of democracy I must remain as president for a third term to complete that mandate."
