THIS is what the UK should be doing. Concentrate on "home". Tha' knows; Churches with lychgates, open fires, fish 'n' chips, bonfire night, Easter, Witsun, The Lake District, Pennine Way, AND PUBS!
Enough of the loutish, yobbish behavior. Concentrate on what's important! Aright?
Sorry Mutti, es tut Mir leid ?

Also IMO there's a difference between singing, and screaming/shouting and some bands don't seem to have mastered the art.I like rock music, however I like rock music that I can listen to, not that which assaults my ears and sensibilities. However everyone to their own and that's what makes music so interesting I suppose.
Well said! I was expecting some good insults, disappointing in a way.

For all of us, who thought Rock'n Roll was dead, but need some hope: check out Greta van Fleet!
Four 18 year old guys, who REALLY know, what to do and how and how to do it!
I don't understand this, to me, noise. What sort of effect do
you get from it? I've tried listening, but sorry, I just don't get it.

I'm still convinced Brexit dies a little every day ( much like it's supporters) .
How it will end I don't know - maybe it's going to be like the end of the Lord of the Rings. The gestalt entity of Boris, Rees-Mogg, Davis and Fox etc. will plunge into the flames all the while clutching their Brexit prize. Even while gazing lovingly at it and gleefully shouting "Brexit, Brexit!" they will be consumed by the flames.
tebee or not tebee? I expect you're half right or half wrong..but its 4:30 am
get some zzzs in!

Should Nicola Sturgeon not be going with Liam Fax to the USA and Canada.
In the USA, he will visit Starbucks and will meet representatives from Scottish whisky distillers, Balvenie as both companies continue to export across the globe.
After all he is meeting with representatives from one of Scotland's biggest exports and I don't mean Starbucks.
I think I'll go too!

I wouldn't mind seeing a retrenchment of the EU. A last redoubt against an increasingly nasty, dangerous world. Dump all the Eastern Europeans and Southern Europeans including Spain which is just a U.K. Suburb. The Austrians can decide what they want. Keep the Czech Republic. Dump Ireland, keep the Scandinavians. Get rid of the Muslims and if Israel doesn't behave the other lot can go also.
Right now the world is a nastier and more dangerous place than it has ever been in my lifetime. Nationalism and Popularism and Celebrity. Bring on Armageddon; after I've finished my beer.
Wow, I didn't know you could be so radical, I'm impressed.
While your in the mood, how about dumping the whole EU.
Then sort out an honest UK gov for us.
After afternoon tea please.

Yes it is daunting to be alone, much safer, and instinctive

Nobody suggested economic models are perfect or that they would ever be entirely accurate..
The answer you required is follow logic.
I am pleased you admit models are not reliable, so why why
would you rely on them in the field of economics.

36 minutes ago, simoh1490 said:Setting aside economic models for the moment, can you think of a better established way of predicting future economics? I mean, many people work up a personal budget for their monthly and yearly expenses and then try to extrapolate from it what their year-end financial position might be, that's modelling, is guessing a better way to do things in your world? Because I have to say that every business in the world beyond a minimum size produces these things, as does every government department, there must be a sound reason for this wouldn't you think? Engineers produce models, NASA produces models, almost everyone produces models of some sort at some point, only Brexiteers don't produce models, hmmmm.
People who don't understand how they are compiled, what they contain or how to use them believe they are always wrong, that's an educational and attitude issue which needs to be overlooked.
Now I see, so economist can predict the future of the economy.
When we joined the EU, or at any time, did they predict the mess
the UK would be in at the present time?
Any engineer will tell you that models are experimental and even
in the final production there will be modifications to be made.
There is no such thing as the perfect model.

Nor why none of them has ever admitted to even the slightest negative financial impact from Brexit, not one - it must be a Brexiteer trait I suppose given that not one of team Brexit here has ever admitted to any potential negative aspects either!
Hi simoh, You seem to have an 'economic model' fetish, yet you
know they are just crystal balls, ooher, and they have too many
erroneous zones. Which you find equates to erogenous zones.
Brexit is a logical way out of the EU mafia.
Not to worry, there will be no genuine Brexit..more like a Botchit.

Hey Joe - what a melody and chord sequence, it sounds wonderful on either acoustic or electric guitar.
Jimi took it out into the stratosphere but other musicians still on this planet have left their own versions for us fellow earthlings.
To be honest, I was not expecting much when I started playing this.
But Damn!!..That was what fine music is about, Sheer brilliance.

New, not used, engine? Do they still make them? Where's the factory or where could I seek a new engine?
You could start by emailing Doe, certainly you must find a rebuilt engine.
or a used one.
If you could find the original, that could be rebuilt.

Not sure about sharing but I'm hoping other farms will be interested to hire our spreader once we have it up and running. And we are hiring tractors and drivers with discs, bulldozers, etc.
Probably the best option as sharing can be complicated.
Good to see you involve locals,

This is a New Holland 7740 not far from where I am. Photos taken today. I had noticed it a long time ago but I had never been interested to see how many spool valves it had. I'm not sure if it has 2 or 3? Perhaps someone can tell us.
Pity it's lacking an engine.
The tyres look better than the ones on Talahtnut's flood stricken Ford in Oz.
I bet the previous owners never thought their tractor would end up in Laos. I will try to make contact with them via Ernest Doe & Sons (name on the bottom of the number plate).
I wonder what it would take to get it working again? I guess it would be better to start off with a complete tractor rather than half of one.
Ernest Doe is Essex UK...Good idea mate, you could buy a new engine,
and you have a virtually new 4wd tractor. R year 97/98

The thing is, since the rise of UKIP, Brexit has given a certain legitimacy to lack of tolerance. That's a shame in my opinion.
So, can we deduce that the soaring violent crimes in Germany is also
the fault of Brexit?
You are acting like a dodgy salesman trying to sell faulty goods.
