That's the way it OUGHT to be... but.... In the past, I believe, Immigration at least some cases basically has said, if you don't get a confirmation back from us for whatever reason, it's YOUR responsibility to go and get one thru one means or another. I don't know specifically if that's occurred when their online system croaks. But I believe in the past, they've taken that attitude when people have their EMS receipt showing they mailed in their 90-day report within the required timeframe, but never got the confirmation back in the mail for whatever reason. Today, I sent a 2nd 90-day report in via EMS mail (keeping the tracking receipt and a photo of the envelope with it), a week ahead of my actual reporting deadline, and a week AFTER I did the online version. So we'll see what happens now.

House Speaker McCarthy and Rep. Jim Jordan predictably seem to have the right idea for his bunch: "House Speaker Kevin McCarthy accused President Joe Biden of weaponizing the government against Trump, and attacked Willis, claiming she brought the indictment in an effort “to fundraise her political career.” Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) also came to the former president’s defense. “Today’s indictment is just the latest political attack in the Democrats’ WITCH HUNT against President Trump,” Jordan, who heads the House Judiciary Committee wrote on X. “He did nothing wrong!” https://www.politico.com/news/2023/08/15/trump-reaction-political-opponents-indictment-00111221

With all the other racketeering-related counts Trump and Co. are already facing in GA, you'd have to wonder whether the DA there would want to try to add the tampering charge to the list.... if all Trump did was to suggest in a post that the person not testify... But, to me, it's equally interesting that the judge who is assigned to handle the Georgia case could consider "tampering" allegations in deciding what amount of bail, or whether to grant bail, when Trump shows up in court.

From the AP, including some of the many others charged: "Other defendants include former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows; Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani; and a Trump administration Justice Department official, Jeffrey Clark, who advanced the then-president’s efforts to undo his election loss in Georgia. Fox News, quoting from the Georgia indictment: "Defendant Donald John Trump lost the United States presidential election held on November 3, 2020.... "Trump and the other Defendants charged in this Indictment refused to accept that Trump lost, and they knowingly and willfully joined a conspiracy to unlawfully change the outcome of the election in favor of Trump. That conspiracy contained a common plan and purpose to commit two or more acts of racketeering activity in Fulton County, Georgia, elsewhere in the State of Georgia, and in other states." https://www.foxnews.com/politics/georgia-district-attorney-gives-trump-others-until-aug-25-noon-surrender

When the "other guy" is facing criminal charges in four separate cases like Trump is, then you'll have something meaningful to talk about. Trump’s fourth indictment moves America closer to an election precipice "The charges in this state case – which bring to 91 the total number of criminal charges he’s facing across four separate cases – intensified an already epochal collision between Trump’s now extreme legal quagmire and the 2024 election in which he is the front-runner for the Republican nomination." https://edition.cnn.com/2023/08/15/politics/trump-fourth-indictment-2024-election/index.html

Trump Suggested A Witness ‘Shouldn’t’ Testify In Georgia’s Grand Jury Proceedings—Critics Say That’s Witness Intimidation Former President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social, his social media platform, on Monday saying Georgia’s former Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan “shouldn’t” testify in grand jury proceedings this week regarding allegations that Trump attempted to overturn the 2020 election results in the state—and some legal analysts are saying the post could be witness intimidation or tampering. ... George Conway—an attorney and separated husband of former Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway—and former U.S. attorney Barbara McQuade both took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to call the post “witness tampering,” with McQuade saying it was “witness tampering in real time.” Ryan Goodman, former special counsel in the Department of Defense, tweeted a screenshot of Trump’s post alongside a screenshot of a Georgia law requiring that a judge find the defendant “poses no significant risk of intimidating witnesses” before approving bail. I also filed my online report last Tues on Aug. 8, receiving a filing confirmation email back from them within 24 hours, and as of today/Tuesday (1 pm) still have not had any action on my filing to BKK CW. As with you, the last couple times I've filed online, the turnaround time has always been 3 business days to approval. That normally would have meant last Friday, but then yesterday/Monday was a government holiday. So I'm hoping, but not optimistic, for something later today. Though I too am getting their server being down now / in the early afternoon.

Man who threatened Biden shot dead in FBI raid in Utah
TallGuyJohninBKK replied to Social Media's topic in World News
The Trump effect on full display: "Trump has referred to the special counsel overseeing the federal prosecutions, Jack Smith, as “deranged” and an “out of touch lunatic,” and to the charges against him as “election interference and yet another attempt to rig and steal a presidential election.” He also has attacked a local Georgia prosecutor expected to file more charges against him next week, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. Experts warn the escalating rhetoric could increase the risks of violence, especially as the 2024 election and Trump’s trials draw closer." https://www.politico.com/news/2023/08/12/political-threats-2024-elections-00110966 -

Rising political threats take U.S. into uncharted territory as 2024 election looms Threats against public officials have been steadily climbing in recent years, creating new challenges for law enforcement, civil rights and the health of American democracy. ... "Even after a [prior] visit from FBI agents, the affidavit said, Robertson continued posting violent words and imagery online, including quipping that if the FBI was still monitoring his posts he would “be sure to have a loaded gun in case you drop by again.” He also posted about killing Biden, who was due to visit the state Thursday." https://www.politico.com/news/2023/08/12/political-threats-2024-elections-00110966 -

What is the FBI’s policy on the use of deadly force by its special agents? "FBI special agents may use deadly force only when necessary—when the agent has a reasonable belief that the subject of such force poses an imminent danger of death or serious physical injury to the agent or another person. If feasible, a verbal warning to submit to the authority of the special agent is given prior to the use of deadly force." https://www.fbi.gov/about/faqs/what-is-the-fbis-policy-on-the-use-of-deadly-force-by-its-special-agents -

Life lesson - don't point a weapon at law enforcement when they arrive to arrest you for publicly threatening to assassinate the president, vice president, and various others. -

He was shot and killed while FBI agents were trying to serve legal search and arrest warrants on him for threatening to assassinate the president, vice president and others. There's zero evidence to suggest he was "murdered," and you have no credible source to show he was -- murder being an unlawful and premeditated killing. Rather, he's a guy who previously posted regarding the FBI after their prior visit to his home: "In a Facebook post days later cited in the affidavit, he said, “To my friends in the Federal Bureau of Idiots: I know you’re reading this and you have no idea how close your agents came to ‘violent eradication.’” https://apnews.com/article/utah-biden-fbi-assassination-threat-ba3cc1d3b2f6cca8bd429febdcf04219
