  1. My Revo "G" first year insurance was free from Toyota, when the paint on door sill show wearing off due to ill placed scuff guard under warranty I took it to them to repaint and complain, they went through the insurance stating it was a joint  warranty and insurance package! On second year renewal, they offered me insurance of 22k stating that included Toyota repair services, I said no, 3 weeks later they came back with a new quote 14k. The other insurance companies offered me 2 quotes normal repair service or Toyota repair 14 to 16k. In the end *** offered me full no 1 insurance for 13k minus 30 percent for dashcam total cost 12500K. Wife's one year old Swift renewal quote was 18k  (for a tin can mini!)and asking around we finally got the same deal for 11k. Opps! I have forgot to request dashcam quote still not renewing until next month. For years we have with other cars jumped between insurance companies for the best deal, NCD seems  not a problem, as the prices can be competitive as you say just look at the write value they offer with the deal.

  2. A great idea as long as beach road is changed to a walking street (ppromenade) and the trams are the only item allowed except perhaps bicycles, but NO motorbikes. Allow access for services vehicles and deliveries during 3am till 10.am. The back road needs to be dualled with central reservation and resurfacing. Lay the tracks could all be done and completed in 2 years in the real world, in Pattaya have they got the B___ls to do it? Quick?

  3. The simple answer is the baht buses must show they are on route or available for charter. Simple! The should have a sign that states it is for hire or on route. If that is too hard then they should change the buses to different colours (they wouldn't like that!) Plus the rates of charter should also be display along side the normal fare costs.

  4. Grease the skids! Don't if the are polite and treat you and complete the paperwork, bring them some fruit or cookies. but, don't give them money, its wrong and makes other peoples lives difficult with demands for them to 'grease the skids' when they have done nothing wrong with the paperwork they have. My immigration office (its first year of operation) had the same problem, they must be upset with google maps! The officer sat and hand drew an inaccurate map of out location, even though I gave them both a copy of the satellite and the map from google. plus the photos had to be 6x4 outside showing house number and family group and he then stuck them onto an A4 sheet of paper, even though I had printed them on glossy two per page. Very strange behaviour from the head office. I suggested to them perhaps they should produce a booklet with exact formats that Chang mia head office require and give everybody a copy.

  5. Maybe I am wrong but, I am sure Thai citizens only need to show their ID card to gain entry to Thailand. If they show their Thai Passport which they used to exit the country They cannot nor will they be refused entry back into the country. If immigration refuse a Thai reentry into the country they are breaking the law. It is for Thai's Black and White! Thai's do not have to give up citizenship ever. Perhaps what may be confusing the officer is if she change her surname to yours. It was suggested to my wife to keep her name in Thailand and she has my name in UK. Not a problem, saves on paperwork and her rights to property inheritance in Thailand

  6. oMost UK persons only have to renew their passport 8 or 9 times in their lifetime.(unless you swim with it , wash it or S**t on it) When living as an Expat, loved up or long stay, the passport should never travel daily or out drinking with you. Thai police recommend carrying a copy, you can reproduce the Photo page plus current visa page reduce the size to wallet id size , laminate so the visa is on the back. plus have several full size copies placed in laptop bag, suit case and drawer in your room. Also apply for Thai driving license works as ID. Have a house or condo apply for yellow book and now pink Thai ID. Then there should be no chance of losing your passport or having the police taking you for a ride unless you fail the pee test!

  7. Maybe I'm the one who is crazy? UK passport holders can apply up to a year before the date of renewal of passport . They don't lose that time as it is added onto the renew passport date. And why would you wait till the last date to jump the country line for your extensions? Would that not be 'playing with fire?'. The same with 90 day reports, you just pop the form and photocopies of passport pages in the post registered and a return envelope with 5baht stamp 7 days before its due. Unless you are working 24/7, I can only assume the 'beer' just won't let you go? Plus unless you are still living in the 70's, you can't pop reminders on your telephone, laptop or the landlady of your favourite bar. perhaps have them put up a notice board to remind you and others renewal dates and birthday's!

  8. You can see in the video the young boy, gives big attitude. plus I think the guy is in blue is Thai. He has come to impress the backpacker wanna be teachers, over a situation earlier. This can be seen from the actions of the boy on spotting them arriving he stands up and puts his phone away. Not the action of someone looking after toilets. Perhaps something to do with money and verbal earlier towards the women. He is not 10years old that is for sure. Like the toilets something stinks in this story.

  9. They reason for all these 747's without engines sitting at different airfields such as the one in Phitsanulok and this one. Is it costs a lot of money to scrap them. (the owner as to pay to scrap) Its expensive and the return is low. You will find airlines will give you the plane if you bear the cost of removing it! So if you gotta a bit of land and fancy converting an old 747. and some spare cash to cut it up and transport it to your new location. Go for it. Thai Airways would be happy to hear from you.

  10. Would it not be cheaper to put in a pedestrian crossing with BIG traffic lights and cameras for red light jumpers, very clear road markings and signs and a maintenance contract to make sure they work. plus a policeman on duty there for two weeks to slap instant fines. Gotta be cheaper than build a bridge, which will not get used, except for suicide jumpers. and motorbikes.

  11. The Thai's have had the sex Trade long before the Yanks when to Pattaya.

Even now the smallest of villages in Nakon upthehill has at least one 'Karoke' bar and not a westerner insight. The Thai movie from the 70's called I think 'hotel angel' shows no Westerners just Thai men. It is I think a bit like Ryan Air bad publicity is good publicity. At least most of the sex trade isn't drug addicts and hanging around street corners as is the case in the UK and Europe. Plus clean and with a beautiful lady.

  12. Logs? Over a thousand? how big are these logs and how long? Where are the logs now? Many questions, not enough answers. If they had all these 'big logs' why had they not moved them on? perhaps they haven't fulfilled the requirements by not naming the Boss!

  13. When you travel by private jet, you don't need to fly into public airfields, plus once you are in Europe for instance you don't go through normally immigration when flying between EU countries. Perhaps the same for ASEAN countries?

And you are right, like certain other people he will have many passports from many countries, meaning if the arrest warrant is for a Thai passport holder then it will not happen if he uses another passport, as the 'paperwork' will not match the warrant!

One immigration officer against the thugs employed to protect him would have a job arresting him, unless they know he is coming and they have a team waiting for him. Still lets wait and see when he is seen, so funny they don't know where he is!
