  1. They reason for all these 747's without engines sitting at different airfields such as the one in Phitsanulok and this one. Is it costs a lot of money to scrap them. (the owner as to pay to scrap) Its expensive and the return is low. You will find airlines will give you the plane if you bear the cost of removing it! So if you gotta a bit of land and fancy converting an old 747. and some spare cash to cut it up and transport it to your new location. Go for it. Thai Airways would be happy to hear from you.

  2. Would it not be cheaper to put in a pedestrian crossing with BIG traffic lights and cameras for red light jumpers, very clear road markings and signs and a maintenance contract to make sure they work. plus a policeman on duty there for two weeks to slap instant fines. Gotta be cheaper than build a bridge, which will not get used, except for suicide jumpers. and motorbikes.

  3. The Thai's have had the sex Trade long before the Yanks when to Pattaya.

Even now the smallest of villages in Nakon upthehill has at least one 'Karoke' bar and not a westerner insight. The Thai movie from the 70's called I think 'hotel angel' shows no Westerners just Thai men. It is I think a bit like Ryan Air bad publicity is good publicity. At least most of the sex trade isn't drug addicts and hanging around street corners as is the case in the UK and Europe. Plus clean and with a beautiful lady.

  4. Logs? Over a thousand? how big are these logs and how long? Where are the logs now? Many questions, not enough answers. If they had all these 'big logs' why had they not moved them on? perhaps they haven't fulfilled the requirements by not naming the Boss!

  5. When you travel by private jet, you don't need to fly into public airfields, plus once you are in Europe for instance you don't go through normally immigration when flying between EU countries. Perhaps the same for ASEAN countries?

And you are right, like certain other people he will have many passports from many countries, meaning if the arrest warrant is for a Thai passport holder then it will not happen if he uses another passport, as the 'paperwork' will not match the warrant!

One immigration officer against the thugs employed to protect him would have a job arresting him, unless they know he is coming and they have a team waiting for him. Still lets wait and see when he is seen, so funny they don't know where he is!

  6. No need to fly out, go to British consul service in Bangkok, pay the renewal fee etc. for new passport. Ask for express service. Take the receipt to immigration, pay cost of extension. wait for 2 weeks. receive new passport go to immigration transfer stamps free. and you will be back in business. Be honest and upfront and I am sure you will have no big problems. Unless you have no fixed addressed that you are registered at!

  7. Not really... It doesn't take into account discounts. Sport-tech was available with 100k off and 3 year servicing and breakdown...

Buy what you want... Up to you. I was having a conversation, not an argument.... I'm out.

Ford are doing 50-60K discounts, plus free insurance and some accessories.

Toyota are doing 100K discounts, but up to you to pay for extras..

i.e. They're all doing similar overall deals ATM.

I'm not arguing anything, just giving some facts smile.png

I like the NP300 - I think it's stylish inside and out, but you need to be mindful of local version differences when evaluating reviews & comparisons from overseas. As noted the local version have different rear suspension, and less safety features (only 2 airbags) from export versions. I doubt a local version would rate in any Australian comparison test because of that - but different markets have different priorities.

I didn't see any discounts for the wildtrak ?

You won't see any official discounts on the NP300 or Revo either - you have to negotiate them smile.png

Toyota give an allowance of 55,000baht on the top of range Revo, which is used to give you "freebies" The less to you take the more bonus the dealer keeps!.

But seriously is any body having any problems with a Revo Auto gearbox such as clunks and nosy gear changes, or are they normal. Just replaced my MU7 for one so Not sure if the actions are normal! Revo only on 2000 kms and 3 weeks old.

  8. The only problem is that all motorbikes have to have insurance to be taxed. This insurance covers the costs of hospital treatment in an accident. It is the law. If you are unsure about the motorbike insurance for 300 baht to can buy it yourself. If the police have written a report on the accident and the motorbike has the legal insurance,(If not he should claim from the hirer via the police...not all but should be able to get some)) and he has all the receipts from hospital he claim all the monies back. My wife and me got knocked off the Scooby, we received comp and repairs from the driver and the motorbike insurance covered all hospital treatment visits. nearly 10 grand in total.

  9. The only time there is a Police record is if you spend time in prison, and the length of time you have the public record is the length of time you serve. That also includes suspended sentences and other court ordered service work. Drink driving offences are also recorded. Minor offences, warnings and fines are included.

The only problem they might have in Thailand, is the failure to provide some form of education requirement's under the new guidelines to get a work permit. If the school has a good relationship with their local work permit office, and if they issue the WP then the immigration may issue a visa to work. (B). Do it the other way round you may hit a brick wall!

  10. Am I missing something? If you are on a multi-entry visa, you wouldn't need to do a 90 day as you would have to leave every 90 days! If you are 2 days over 7 days allowed, simple go to Doctors get a medical cert stating you where in bed ill, and go to the nearest Immigation office, any office is OK, sad face and cert you will get away with it if not, just pay it ain't a problem! You could post it too, express with the same info, make sure to include return address with postage. and that may save the fine too! just post date the application, they are aware how mail can get stuck in the system.

  11. You have to step up, tell her you are not feeding extended family, they managed before you were on the scene. Expect the rows, but stand up! If you allow her to buy on her own and not go with her, more fool you. You could start slowly by giving her 3000 baht a week to feed you and her. And reduce it if you don't get the food you want.

  12. I am afraid they learn this type of behaviour from Thai soaps. Nearly every soap has some form of actions of girls behaviour to other girls. And with the men it always ends with a gun.

There should be strict rules on the content. Guns should without discussion be banned from all soaps. And girls should have their actions against each other toned down. I am at the point of I don't know when one soap ends and another begins!

  13. It is not the point to fit speed limiters, has most travel at a reasonable speed except when taking people from one county to another in convoy with so-called police escort, hogging the fast lane! It is height vs weight on chassis not designed correctly. The weight is compensated by adding extra wheels, but the centre of gravity isn't worked out so the bus will tip or lose control, should the overweigh top start to sway too much. Most drivers know this and this is why most drive slowly, lack of sleep, a misjudgement of speed, and poor braking will lead to accidents. In the case of the latest accident, prob. travelling in the fast lane, plus the above problems would not allow the driver to take dastic action, a bit like travel in a boat, the wallowing action of steering and poor braking. And lets not forget the Saraburi nightmare truck driver, of which there are many, didn't help and did cause the fatal actions in the first place.

  14. The father seems to be scared to go to the school alone to talk to the director, and head of the teachers.....I am sure that his son, hadn't done anything wrong? Of course while he is doing this his son has to suffer in school, any problems in the school have to be dealt with now, not tomorrow, and not next week. We must wait and hear all sides of this story before blaming the teachers outright. I have worked in Thai schools for nearly ten years, and things ain't what they seem all the time.
