I understand that people on Holiday, can have accidents, or become ill. But why is it those looking to get people to send money, beause of high costs, and insurance company problem. seem to be the ones who automatically go to the private/international hospitals. I doubt they would have such huge costs. if they were to transfer themselves or go directly to the government hospitals. The large government hospitals have everything for all cases. I have had in 15 years two heart attacks and have been treated in the government hospitals including being treated the last occassion in the local hospital, transported by government ambulance 200 kilometres to the larger hospital with heart department, treated and transported back, plus recovery in a private room to recover. at a faction of the 10K plus a night at private hospital. Plus knowing the costs would go back into the government sector to keep improving the great services they give. I would also think the insurance companies would also be happier to pay the bills due to the lower costs. May I suggest contacting the insurance company to pay the bill, and transfer him to a government hospital to recover.

Reminds me when a cement lorry hit me and made me turn over in the ditch in the middle of the road near Saraburi, the lorry drove off, and the locals came to my aid, when the police were phoned they asked if anybody was dead or seriosly injured. When told that noone was, they stated that they wouldnt be coming. and to contact my insurance company. Thankfully the insurance man turned up, took me to hospital, and took control of everything including statements from the locals who witnessed the situration. He was a better policeman than the real police.

Toyota Diesel Pickup Engine Oil Change
phetpeter replied to Banana7's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
As stated just go to B-Quick, when you go shopping, if you are so worried, change the oil as and when you get that nagging feeling, its not expensive and is something you don't need to worry about! -

Hopefully the Cat (Vietnam) Rabbit (Chinese) is finally out of the cage, and the door is wide open, let's hope people will start the ball rolling, and start singing like a bird. Let the show begin, Lift the stone and watch the bugs run for cover, hopefully the big boot will flatten many of them. (opps I am feeling very poetic)

Government asked to enforce ban on lottery sales to under 20s
phetpeter replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Cant see that happening, they still can't stop the overpriced selling of lottery tickets now. -
The simple answer is two put in place a simple circlular one way tram system a figure which could round down beach road then on turning left some trams would travel up first road, and other would travel up and turn into soi b. Travel on these roads would be restricted to travel in the same direction as the trams. The drivers of the trams could be recuited and trained baht bus drivers. to remove them from the streets. a fixed fee could be charged same as now.

Still it can't beat the one who sold land to build Phetchabun's airport that is is 35 kilometers outside the city, with no transport links, we only got 4 meter taxi's a couple of years ago, we have no flights for over 6 years, 'cause no way to get to the airport. plus the last airline that was coming in, refused when somebody inisted on a bonus to land! so they on the day they were meant to start BKK to Phetchabun then Loei, flew low over the city and on to Loei. when everyother city has the airport next to the city, normally associated with the armed forces, oh! thats right we have two army camps in the city and guess what they have an airfield in them too! plus we don't have the railway which sharply turns away from Phetchabun provence and goes over the mountains to Korat. and I don't hear of any lobbying for that!

Music blasting from neighbour
phetpeter replied to villageidiotY2K's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
You could try speaking to the headman of the village, most places are considerate and I believe that entertainment has to pull the plug normally at 11pm, if hes a nice man maybe he will speak to them or get the local police to visit them. You could also visit the local police station and file a report. Nothing ventured, nothing gained! -
I tell people all the time sign up and make payments into the social sercuity scheme, about 450 baht per month. after several months you will be able to get free medical services and tablets. plus when you paid in for years you can get a pension or lump sum too, plus child beneifit etc. I had a heart attack got taken to hospital had a stent and ongoing treatment and tablets at no cost. Don't believe then pop down to the office or local government hospital and check it out or check it out on line. If you are working direct with a government school they are meant by law to put you on the scheme, pay towards it and when you lose your work, you will also be able to claim unemployment benifit for a period of time.

MY old MU7 Handled the great flood with only minor leaking when I travelled down the 9 three times, I was begining to feel I was at sea for 50% of the journeys. Oh how I miss that SUV. never let me down, did replace all brakes pads when things dried up, Mec's told me just continue normal driving to clear any watter in the diff's etc. It never had any problems including the feeling of lifting at the start junction with the route 1, and watching all the others climbing out their windows did get me a bit nervous. Oh! fun days!

Swimming skills don't need to be taught in a swimming pool, a supervised training can be undertaken, in any water, maybe at a temple ground, farmer pond swallow river etc., or perhaps a district should invest in a pool that could be transport to a district for the sole purpose of giving students the education and basic skills when playing in or need the water., plus reminding farmers to stop filling their ponds with tree branches to stop people stealing their fish, plus making sure there is a ramp or step/rope area incase someone falls in to be able to get out.

Simple take it to court, his failure to attend can be taken into account, and as a plea. the case can start with the current evidence, and his failure to attend as he wished not to speak. The court can then do one or two things, order his attendance, give hime a time limit and if still no response, judge him on the facts before the court and give a vedict. and then as a fugivate have the sentance carried out when caught.

It is true that the private hospital in thailand offer a great commerical hospital service, but, the government should rule that they offer treatment first when there are major accident siturations, before cost recovery is invoked. Rule is the saving of life before any other considerations. And to add my view that the Thai government hospitals around the country do offer excellant services. with many of the countries larger ones have all the equipment and staff to perform in some cases as good or even better that the commerical ones. They even have a network of ambulances transferring parients to the more adavance and equipped hospitals. I know this from my own experience when I had a heart attack.

Thailand ceartainly doesn't want or required the backpackers coming to Thailand, and developing the weed hub for them, What is a great idea doesn't need pothead, swarming around. the fact it has made the freedom of use for medical comfort, not for the great unwashed to lay around abusing it. The street is already a disgrace, and doesn't reflect the beauty and benifits of visiting Thaiand. look how Holland handles these people, they are not allowed to hang around puffing in public it is managed in a sensible way, with licensed coffee shops, and like drunks they are handled in a way that keeps it under control and fined and deported if they fail to keep the respect required. its bad enough having the free for all at the full moon parties.

Each city should set up a department that allots tickets forsale, only to registered disabled, who inturn must sell at the correct price...80 baht. If found to sell wholesale to others then they lose the right right. There is a legal system that vendor selling overpriced tickets can be banned. Each seller purchases the tickets at a trade price allowing them to recieve a profit which I believe is about 10 baht per ticket sold, so every 2 weeks a vendor with a 1000 tickets would make 20k per month. Not bad for sitting around. Those who jumped on the band wagon, buy at 80baht sell at 100baht, make double that! and that only on a 1000 tickets! think about a high traffic location and incresed sales. ....Why am I working so hard?
