  1. You do know that the person in this report is from Ukraine and Putin is Russian, don't you?
  2. Many people on this site know of ;Nookie' and he can get stuff to you in Pattaya, He has cod although I find it a bit chewy, and he has haddock. https://www.nookiesdelights.3baht.net/products.htm
  3. The Chairman of the House Police affairs committee, whatever that is, and a Move forward MP with him, were refused entry to the wards where he is supposedly staying. I wonder why that might be (wink wink).
  4. Look more carefully at the photo. They never lay the rice directly on the road surface.
  5. As an aside, when you need a new ATM card expect delay and lots of form signing as the account is linked to your passport number. It took me an hour and 17 signatures to get a new card at the Bangkok Bank main branch. In my native UK, when the card is due to expire they simply post a new one, but Thailand is ..... different.
  6. They do, don't they? They are certainly not protesting the farcical situation! What's the point of protesting? The army will get the water cannons out if they shout too loudly.
  7. What does he need to do? Arrange a hospital bed for her for, oh, six months or so? I'm sure all the worry about whether she can return or not will have taken its toll and she'll be in need of lengthy treatment. At the same time, he can arrange for a helicopter to transfer her from whatever prison she spends a few hours minutes in.
  8. It got to the stage when I was in America that I would order a starter and dessert and miss out the main course. People really, really do not need to eat that much. I've never forgotten once walking behind three women of a certain size in Orlando, dreading that they might spontaneously explode and cover me in nastiness. But, fortunately, they turned into an all you can eat restaurant and I lived to tell the tale.
  9. That's what makes it exciting.
  10. You've clearly not dealt with Thai men in uniform and don't know what hey can do if they want to. Upset a VIP with noise from your place and the police might actually enforce the law. Long shot, but still risky. You would have absolutely no control over who rents your place and what they do there.
  11. I suppose locking the door to the balcony was out of the question? Especially after she claims she told him not to go out there again. She expected a three year old to obey?
  12. Are there any laws in Thailand to ensure safe and proper maintenance of vehicles. Not that that would make any difference of course, unless it suited the authorities to enforce that law.
  13. So why are you asking about Thailand, where you run the risk of losing the property or arrest, no matter how smart you think you are about finding ways around the rules so that you can run an illegal business?
  14. Sale for recreational use id illegal almost everywhere in the world. in the world. Accordsing ro Google, Commercial sale of recreational cannabis is legalized nationwide in three countries (Canada, Thailand, and Uruguay) and in all subnational U.S. jurisdictions that have legalized possession except Virginia and Washington, D.C. A policy of limited enforcement has also been adopted in many countries. There are a lot of ifs and buts though that appear to expand that number.
  15. Is that not education??? drugs and alcohol and driving?? Or is it accepted? I know and you know that the two are not connected in this report. I know and you know you didn't read the report before posting. But good try trying to divert.
  16. Did you bother to read the report? No, I thought not. The accident was nothing to do with driver education. During the inspection inside the vehicle, authorities found 135 ecstasy pills, 0.55 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and a 9mm CZ pistol with one chambered round.
  17. And his parents are .... where? As usual with Thai reporting, half the facts are missing.
  18. The Thaiger's top reporter strikes again. He never disappoints. Has The Thaiger no idea how ridiculous they look, publishing such careless journalism?
  19. And send them to do a year in the army. But, as we all know, the only thing that might happen, as before, is that they close the university for a week.
  20. Another member who consults AN readers instead of a doctor. Weird. I know some people are afraid of doctors, but I'd be more afraid of asking non-qualified people for medical advice.
  21. A manslaughter charge then? Causing death by dangerous driving? And as a monk was killed add another six months to the six month sentence? Of course we'll never know as there is never a follow up report.
