  1. Homosexuality is as natural as heterosexuality. This is scientific fact and if you don't like it, that is your problem.

No its not, Its like when you want a drink, your either a Coke man or a Pepsi man, you choose what you want.

People who are gay choose to be gay. Its BS that people are born gay

You are as dumb as the dumbells you lift. You don't have a clue to the gay lifestyle (although you have "a couple of gay friends" that you like to torment). And you certainly don't have a clue about the world of ladyboys. It would be best if you went back to your Guido jokes...at least those are funny and not pathetic.

Its true, nobody is born gay, that is just rubbish, its a choice.

Are you gay? If not, how would you know whether gays are born or not? At what specific age did you choose to be straight? When did you make the choice between being gay or straight. I suggest you stick to what you know which is...er...nothing.

I'm with don. I don't see how people are born gay. Its just impossible. Then if you disagree we can ague about ghost next. And then we can ague after that about government mind control.

I don't see how people are born straight. It's just impossible. They must choose to be straight.

  2. I am (urgently) looking for a (credentialed) therapist or doctor with experience in dealing with anxiety disorders and insomnia.

Since more than a week I am going through an episode of serious anxiety and related insomnia.

I have nearly not slept for the last three days, and am even more stressed out because of this.

A week ago I went to see a psychiatrist at Bumrungrad, but he just prescribed medication and immediately called in the next patient after I had explained my problem. He seemed to totally not care. (visit lasted less than 5 minutes)

I guess this anxiety related therapy is quite specific, I checked in the pinned topic "mental health resource list' (dates back to 2006) and searched the forum, but did not seem to find any specific listings or posts on the topic.

I have gone through sort of a similar episode ten years ago, then I overcame it through medication and therapy, so it must be possible now as well - only I don't know where to go ....

ps. I live in the Bangkok area. You can PM me or post a followup. Thanks a lot.

Get your hands on books written by Dr Claire Weekes. They will explain the physical origin of your symptoms. They're hard work but you'll be free of the fear of anxiety for the rest of your life without the need for therapy or medication.

  4. Why do some people so sadly to retire to Thailand and spend every night hanging off the edge of the Balcony.

Presumably hanging off the edge of the balcony in Bangkok is better than moving to Pattaya and jumping off it :o

    Better for who?

    Those who are still alive.

  5. In many countries around the world the there is a very good chance they would have taken you straight to the jail house and possibly roughed you up a bit. You are lucky to be in Thailand where that behavior by officials is no longer the norm.

And is just as many.... this shit would not happen.

The problem with Thai is they so apathetic, someone has to stand up and make change happen, otherwise women would not have a vote, we'd all still have slaves running around (or worse still be one) just to name a couple.

Or, I guess you can just wait until the wealthy decide it's good enough for the mid/low class and they can get it approved, ASAP.

And it's their country. If they wish to be apathetic - up to them. You're a guest here - you have no influence - you don't have the vote - you aren't a resident - It's not your country. When the Thais decide that it's time for a change they'll make that change. The one thing that is guaranteed (not just in Thailand but around the world) is that being lectured by foreigners is like trying to teach pigs to dance. It won't work and it pisses off the pigs.

  6. It's not just a "UK bank thing", it applies to many banks globally including, from personal experience, those in Hong Kong and Europe. I believe that the basis for it all began with JWB's war on terrorism earlier this century and am surprised to see that UK/European banks have adopted the measures whilst apparently some US banks have not. HSBC Hong Kong, UK and Bangkok all require this information.

Don't forget that the British Civil Service is well-known for 'gold plating' any regulations that it vomits forth.

  7. I opened Nationwide Flex Account last week.

If you are in the UK you need to Telephone them first to make appointment.

You will need ID. Pasport and utility bill or enything that can verify your address in the Uk. Best to ask

    money laundering and all that

And take cash to open account with EASY

Just got my card Thro the post Password came Yesterday 3 days after card arrived.

Just hope it's as good as it sounds.

If you're going to use internet banking with your Flexaccount what you need to do now is open up the associated Esave account which is paying approx 5%. You can move funds instantaneously between the 2 accounts.

  8. size of male organ

Another self-aggrandising (and untrue) farang generalisation.

And your sample size of penis checking is more widespread than the WHO I guess ??

The World Health Organization has firm specifications for condom sizes, which are based on various studies. These studies seem to indicate that black men have on average a slightly wider and longer penis size, Caucasian males have what is known as the medium size, while Asian men are slightly narrow and shorter in size. The WHO specifications feature condom widths of 5.3 cm for Africa, 5.2 cm for Europe and 4.9 cm for Asia. As you can see, the differences between racial groups are statistically small.

I'm not quite sure how many Thai men the WHO have checked. Let me know and I'll tell you if it's more than me. :o

BTW which definition of 'Asian' are they using? Turkey? Japan? Sri Lanka? Iran?

  9. I have been interested in contributions elsewhere in this forum about peoples' experiences of living in the closet, coming out, etc. and I wonder if anyone has any thoughts they would like to share on how their gayness and coming out impacted on their parents and the rest of the family.

When I came out to my folks my mother turmed round, fixed me with a steely glare and said 'I've known for years. Go and make a cuppa' :o

My stepfather wasn't very happy about it but there again he was never very happy about anything at all.

  10. It is these type of frustrations I am talking about. For example, when you ask an open ended question and they respond with "yes" and a smile. "Yes what" I will say with hidden frustration.

That's not a language barrier problem - it's a culture problem. You asked a question. Politeness requires that they give you an answer. The fact that it's not the answer you were expecting is neither here nor there. They have been riap roy.

  11. Having sex with a ladyboy is gay. I don't think who's pitching or whose catching is relevant. Also, two men having sex with one ladyboy, or one lady, is gay. I still can't believe this happened in Pattaya.

    This is normal for Pattaya.

People with huge amounts of money derived from oil income, will travel anywhere for their

sexual trangressions/preferences that will likely recieve a death sentence in their home country.

Not pointing the finger at any nationality but they it seems so many tourists are so guillible in

taking people back to their rooms in complete faith.

    They deserve to be robbed.

People with 'huge amounts of money derived from oil income' are hardly likely to be living two to a rented room in South Pattaya. No-one 'deserves' to be the victim of crime. Sicky sicky...
