Thank you. There is a circuit braker in the box that we use to turn the system on and off, I will take a picture of it later today when I go there, and any appropriate rating plates.

Ok so we have a small farm (1 rai) about 10 minutes from our house , simply something to play with and keep us busy. The electric is 500 meters away, and the electric company will not bring it to us unless we pay 300,000 baht. Which is something we will not do since there are alot of other people developing the area . and I am sure as more people apply for blue books for their property they will bring it in the next year or so.Anyway, that's another story. In the "Farm" we have a well, and an elevated water storage tank powered by two solar cells. The problem is that we have to turn it on and off manually .In the US I had a sump pump in the basement that when it sensed the water lever in the sump and turned the pump on to pump the water out. I looked in Lazada and there were a lot of devices that seem to do that , but I don't know a lot about these things and don't want to get the wrong thing. I need it to do the opposite from the sump pump I described below. I need it to turn the pump on when the water falls below a certain level, and shut the pump of when the tank is full. If anyone with more expertise on the subject (which is everyone LOL) could look in lazada or elsewhere and tell me which one to order I would appreciated. The people that installed the solar cell set up the system are not being very helpful and are trying to sell me some very expensive systems, also They don't speak english which makes it hard for me to communicate with. I have to explain to the wife what I need and she hast to explain to them, and I am not sure what is lost in the translation. It seems to me that it should be a simple thing to do. Anyway, I appreciate any advice and/or suggestions .

PS: Mozies don't bother me. No self respecting mozy will come anywhere near me. Seriously where other people get attacked they don]t seem to bother with me. I read somewhere that it has something to do with body chemistry, which might have something to do with why flies love me ????

You have a very nice set up. Unfortunately for me The house is not set up in a way that I could screen it in .we also park cars there Otherwise I would. In Florida where we lived before we came here we had a screened in lanai and we loved hanging out there. But your idea is not bad and It is probably the only viable solution. I will think about it and see if I can screen in a portion. The more i think of it and look at the picture the more I like your idea.

Brilliant!! I am going to try it tomorrow seriously. what a great idea.

Anyway. I thought one of you FN geniuses would have come up with a creative solution. Looks like I am on my own. Man against fly. I have ordered one of those fly zapper contraptions from Lazada and as soon as it arrives I will implement my ingenious plan of combining A fly zapper and stinky fish sauce. Stay tuned.

I got them, The question is not for inside the house If carma is a thing then I am screwed. I got fly paper, a fly swatter . etc . Wife says I am absessed. And I might be. My bad. I did not properly explain , the problem is outside . I have a nice outside area under the house and like to sit there , have a nice hot pot diner with friends (Yes I have friends????) Been there done that , sooner or later you got to take them off.

Now that that it started raining again, for some reason we are full of flies. (I hate flies) , I was thinking of getting one of those blue light insect zappers, But I know that it mostly kills other beneficial insects, And I was thinking of heting one, removing the lightbulbs and loading it up with fly bait, Perhaps some Issan some tom, with stinky ctap legs , It seems to attract every every fly in the province. LOL. Anyway , has anyone tried it ? Or any other advice.

Thank you I will give it a try

Not sure if you are being funny ???? On the outside chance that you are not, I am looking to buy a generator in Khon Kaen, I know of all the usual places , Do Home, Global House etc. but I dont know if there are any tool specific places that would sell a generator in my area.

Hi Jay. What is the difference between a Browser and a search engine.? I have not tried Chat GPT, I briefly looked into it , but have been too busy to concentrate on it. Could you please provide me a link to where I can download the free version,I am not lazy , I did a search on google and I don't trust the results

What you say makes sense since many of the websites are thai language only, perhaps the English language algorithm cant find them. Please excuse my ignorance, but how do you access "Google Thai"? I agree they are "demonic entities and would like to dump them but I don't want to jump from the frying pan into the fire.

I am sure this subject has been discussed before, but unfortunately my search in this forum was unsuccessful. Please feel free to post links to other threads that might be relevant. Anyway ,The short of it is that I no longer trust Google to give me what I am searching for , and simply direct me to it's advertisers. Bing dont seem to be any better. so I am looking for a search engine that will give me honest results. Today I did a search for a product I was looking to buy , and I know the different DYI stores that sell it, but I don't know what I don't know, so I thought I would do a search and perhaps find some other options. So I did my search "electrical generators for sale in khon khon kaen" , Most of the results I got were ads , almost non were in Khon Kaen, and non of the stores that I know sell generators were displayed. So if I did not know of them I would not even know existed. Bing was just as bad if not worst. And I don't know about Firefox since I have not download it yet. I would appreciate any suggestion as to how to resolve that problem . What do you guys do?

This first one is free, You need to get a mongoose! but advice on how to get rid of the mongoose will cost you or do as we do, get a bunch of dogs as we did. I pity the fool (snake) that would come into our property. And as it happens , I have a couple of dogs I would be willing to part with. Free!! and I deliver. Or you could try, something like this. (but I still like the Mongoose idea) also look for snake repellent on Lazada.

Follow up: Still have not bought one, (have not really needed it yet) but should be buying one soon , as I am getting ready to start doing some work where I dont have access to electric. The reason I an writing this follow up is that I noticed that many of the generator brands are made by the same producer and others simply put their brand name on them. for instance , the two below are identical in every way, except the brand name and paint job. Yet have a price difference of about 1,000 baht.

NO amount of alcohol is safe! WHO experts warn
sirineou replied to Social Media's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I have been saying that for years, everytime people complained that I was drinking too much and it was not safe. Finally vindicated.!! -
Thanks Crossy, For the price of the Hyundai I can buy two of those and if one fails, I can fire up the other.LOL Seriously, I would be a very light user, If I use it once a month , it would be too much, so no need for a heavy duty unit. Glad you had good service from yours. I think I will give it a try.

I am not familiar with the generator brand names available for sale in Thailand. Is Nash a Good brand? Would a Kanto be better? any other brand name suggestions ? I saw this Kando, available for sale in Lazada. Is it a good Idea to order such item from Lazada? What if there is something wrong with it? Thank you all for your support.???? Sorry if my questions sound stupid. If I was in the US I would know all about the brands and service policies, Here in Thailand I am a lost puppy when it comes to Generators.

Looking for ready-to-cook pizza crusts
sirineou replied to Cutty Shark's topic in Western Food in Thailand
Why? Pizza dough is soooo easy to make. I often make a bunch, subdivide it, use some, keep some in the refrigerator for a few days, and freeze some for later use, (it can keep for a couple of months) , Recipe on YouTube . I use a cast iron skillet that I first use on a burner to get the bottom crispy, then put it in the oven for only a few minutes to malt the cheese, Arroy mak mak, but be warned it might be so good you might put on some weight. ???? PS: buy an inexpensive stand mixer, you be happy you did, and will make many many other things, I make bread all the time. Much better than any store bought bread. -
Yea I hear you. When I was in Uni , more years ago than I am willing to admit,. In Lab I was the go to guy for welding. But they had to notch equipment. Oxyacetylene, Mig, TIG etc, I even learned to weld aluminum (2024), Which IMO is some of the toughest material to work with because it does not form a puddle, Instead it sweats, and when it does you better get moving or it collapses on you, and you blow a hole. Anyway, forward many years later, I got here with metal and welding used so much I decided. "Hey I can do that I thought it would be a breeze, and I would show them all with my superior technique . LOL Much to my embarrassment , like you my hand shaked, I could not see my bead, my electrode stuck to the material, my bead was and is scabby , and I was either doing cold welds or was blowing holes. I have gotten a bit better but only because I no longer try to lay down a bead, but I do a series of tack welds. As you said, a grinder and plenty of paint hides a myriad of sins ???? I just made a gate, and when I was done I used caulking in the joins (after my weld ofcourse) , smoothed with my finger and then painted, and I must say. It looks damn good. "Fake it until you make it" LOL

80A is where I run it also , anything more and I blow holes in the material. Thank you Crossy!! ????

A little more than I was thinking of spending, but seems to pack enough power for the small amount more. What do you think? is Nash a good brand? do you see another that you think is better for similar cost?
