So the wife has been taking swimming lessons and is getting pretty good at it. I tried to teach her but she would not listen to me. Why should swimming be different from everything else ???? Anyway we were thinking of taking a ride to Bangkok from Khon Kaen to do some shopping, have some of that great Bangkok food , and perhaps go to a beach nearby , where she can try her new swimming skills in salt water. We were thinking in terms of Rayong beach, Hua hing . mayme take a ferry to Koh Samet (how is the swimming there) or any other destinations that are not more than two or three hours away by car or ferry . We would appreciate any advice .

Man bitten by camel while feeding animals at temple
sirineou replied to snoop1130's topic in Central Thailand News
None of this would have happened if he was not wearing earrings in the shape of mulberry leafs. A cautionary tale IMO, that puts a new spin in the old curse " May a thousand camels spit in your face" -
All of it and more. LOL all part of the package. Much quieter now by the house , but I also got a Rai about 5 min from the house where I built a little one room one bathroom and a covered area, and I am playing in the dirt the re planting trees and killing vegetables. I Have developed a system where for 10.000 baht, hard work and determination I grow 1,000 baht's worth of vegetables. for 9,000 baht I am willing to teach my system???? Very quite there.

I am not sure if it applies everywhere or even if it's because they just don't care enough to argue about it, But everywhere we go here in Isaan that requires "Farang" pay a fee different than Thais my wife argues that I am Thai, shows them my drivers licence and yellow book , and so far I never had to pay "Farang" price at area parks. Does not hurt to give it a try, what do you have to loose. -
a few days ago, in the news I read some place where some school district, would not allow a native american to wear feathers on her head also. It stand to reason. If you allow one group , you must allow all , and then all bets are off. For instance , in support and to display my pride od my frisbeetarian religious beliefs I could demand that instead of the square academic cap, I could demant to wear a frisbie .

Top 99 Reasons Why Being Over Age 70 Rules!

So true. I stress over the thought that one day I will pass away and leave my wife and daughter along. If I had to do it over again I would not marry a younger wife. -

Son with thai and EU passport??
sirineou replied to beammeup's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
FYI He really did not have to enter with his EU passport because his thai passport was expired. My wife had the same issue and all she did was get an emergency travel document from the Thai embassy. where we were(very easy) and came Thailand with her expired Thai passport. But That's water under the bridge now. So as others said. Exit Thailand with his EU passport. otherwise , even though he us Thai, he would have an overstay penalty. It happened to my wife's friend who enter Thailand with her US passport and thought that because she is thai and has a Thai passport , she could stay here as long as she liked. Border run is very easy depending where in Thailand you are. And might even be fun, -
We also lived in Florida before we came here. (Palm Coast) weather very similar to Thailand and many Thais , Cambodians, and Vietnamese. living there. We actually had two cambodian supermarkets in our area, and a few in Orlando. I must admit , IMO, Thai food was better there than it is in Isaan. We were near the ocean but I always thought about acreage near Ocala. Not much different here. I have my challenges here I wont lie, but in the balance I like it better here. I like the freedom to do whatever I like in my property. Back in Florida , by the time I got permits. licenced tradesmen, and plans stumped by an engineer.... As far as food in Isaan, both me and the wife are very good cooks, she takes care of the Thai cooking (to my liking) and I whip up a western meal on accession. Probably no different than most others here.

Top 99 Reasons Why Being Over Age 70 Rules!
sirineou replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I am not 70 yet but from what I see being almost 66 , I am pretty sure I am not going to like 70 more. Not sure I like being 66. I think the Op is a bit of "whistling in the dark" but hey whatever works for you. I personally just avoid mirrors. -
Not a fan of Isaan food either, but I kind of like it here in Khon Kaen. It has it's challenges but what place doesn't?

31% of Thais eye battery electric vehicles as next car choice
sirineou replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
I have to say, Here in Khon Kaen I see them (BYDs, GWMs, etc) on the road every day and given our driving habits (99% around town,) We have been thinking about it more and more. Our ICE vehicle is only two years old ,and we kind of like it and are comfortable with, but in the next couple of years when we are ready to replace it.......... -

I appreciate the response Ok so I am getting a little more educated about the issue. First question is , do I need a generic sensor or do I need one specifically for this invertor from the manufacturer. Second. how do I determine which one of the 4 choices above applies to me? (the system does not have a battery.
-
Thank you,I just noticed that there was a light on the panel that said tank. butI think it would need some sort of sensor in the tank?
-
So I took a couple of pictures of the panel. Unfortunately the plate is on the side of the unit and the unit is in a box so I could not see it very well. I stuck my phone in there and took a picture. It is not a very good picture but I think you can see the ratings. Also I took a picture of the front of the unit that think has a lot more information.
