This heat is getting to all of us, I was getting bored so I went to the farm , about 5 min from our house to play around . It was so hot I thought I would have a heart attack , I paced it in and went back home. Got to be carefully in this heat. None of the people who have issues , think it would happen to them , until it does. Hope you have a fan going and keeping hydrated.

I am right there with you mate. It makes me sick to my stomach to see this things, Same here, but you are not the only one whos getting older. I see a word redlined as misspelled, the drop down window gives me three choices but if I am not wearing my glasses , I can't see any of them, unfortunately You can not zoom in the drop down spelling window. Getting older has its challenges , but consider the alternative I don't remember who said it. "I have nothing against old age, I hope to die of old age " No proleme, I know you are a good guy.

Speaking Thai - is it necessary these days for an expat ?
sirineou replied to The Cobra's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
That's exactly what I was thinking Mike. Does he really want to know why so many of us don't speak the language? Or is he really taking this opportunity to "Hey look at me" "why cant you all be as good as me" IMO a thinly veiled sign of insecurity.- 208 replies

Dude!! How long do you know me in this forum???? Do you think that based on my 15 years in this forum attitude I would think that the aid workers were really Hamas??? "Now please explain the "You always seem to find an excuse, wrong words, missing question mark, but never seem to answer the questions." Always???? realy ???? please provide another incident where I defaulted to excuses?? And "never seem to answer the questions " what are the questions and when did I not answer them ? You always used to be a reasonable person, What happened to you? are the ravages of old age finally catching up with you?

"How many Isreali and Palestinian civilians have been "intentionally" targeted, and killed? " IMO one too many. IMO . it is not a good idea to dismiss war crimes by any side as things that happen in war and should not be shocked by. You made an inappropriate post.(I am trying to be kind) From time to time we all do, I certainly have, Instead of doubling down , it would IMO be easier to say "Fair enough, I did not think this through" and leave it at that. It is now a shame to admit you are wrong, Who among us has never been wrong?

That is exactly what I do. Last time I tried to make it myself , it took a day to put the kitchen together again. Making your own puff pastry dough with the room temperature butter, and flour everywhere is not worth the trouble. The one sold at Makro works brilliantly.

Stuffed grape leaves My sister in FL made them last week , and monkey see monkey do , since I had not made them in a long time, I decided to also make them,. I cant wait until she wakes up so I can show her. So I ordered a jar of grape leaves from Lazada. I was surprised at the quality , sometimes you get them and they are too small or a large percentage are torn. Every single one of them was good, I have to leave them a good review. Anyway the stuffing consists of a kilo of ground beef, (I wanted to make many of them and freeze them) I cup of rice , 2 large onions finely diced and sauteed , Chopped dill, chopped cilantro, salt and pepper. Easy enough, now comes the hard part , the rolling. Lucky for me I saw a trick on FB and unlike most of them this one actually worked in fact it worked brilliantly. I made a short vid to send to my sister, Then lined the bottom of a pan with some unused grape leaves to keep my stuffed grape leaves from sticking to the bottom, lay them in a circle for layers, covered them with a plate to keep them from floating up. In 2 cups of water I dissolved 2 cubes of chicken stock an poured it in the pot so that the stuffed grape leaves are covered brought to boil and reduced the heat and cooked for 45 minutes. Anyone interested PM me for recipe.

If food "tastes" then you have not lost your taste , but rather your taste has altered. Something that can happen. I know things that you could not pay me enough to eat when I was younger now I love it . So it can happen with age, perhaps covid, or some other reason accelerated that issue . If it is long covid, the good news is that for most people it reverses itself after a while. But perhaps it is some other reason. What have you been doing differently lately, if any . Are you taking any new medications or have increased the dosage of existing ones? Did you start taking vitamins or other supplements? I wish I could lose my taste for western food, I would be saving a lot of money. My wife wishes I would also, not only for the money, but because I make a mess when I cook.
