Oh dear. Try reading the divorce subforum to get an idea of what traps can be laid for a farang that buys a house in LOS.

NO, YOU don't own the land even if YOU paid for it. Seems to me that you have zero rights to that property soon as the papers are signed.

Some posters are sure to talk about the ways to ensure you can live in it if get divorced or she dies, but if the family want to make life unpleasant there is sod all YOU can do about it, IN MY OPINION.

Personally I'd rather have been castrated with a rusty razor blade than buy/ build a house for my wife, and was saved from that particular hell on earth when we got divorced because I ignored all her hints to build a house in the village.

Your are entitled to your opinion but you actually don't answer his question. It would be my pleasure to provide the rusted razor blades ????

Would be interested to know if the chief has ever jumped out of an aircraft as he has para wings embroidered  above the DSI badge on his uniform it’s like every Monday government workers dressed in uniform full of medal ribbons and gold braiding it creases me up

Yes it is a police wing. Most of them do it during their officer course the are trained in Hua In. You can find a fatal accident clip on google of one of their cadets.

out of all the people I know that live here only two of them get their extensions without going through an agent and of those none of them have the funds in the bank and pay on average 15k for a 12 month extension - fact

Yes, but if you mention it, people will say "shut up" you don't know anything. After 30 years I have seen my fair share of corruption in different police branches.

There is a reasonable answer to that, he was not heading in the direction of the Police Hospital and there's no suggestion that he had just left work either.    It just says that he works as a doctor at the Police Hospital and that he was not over the limit.   To assume that he was drunk heading to work or had been drunk treating patients is ridiculous without evidence.

May be true but why give him with a military rank if he is not serving? 1. He is in active duty as a doctor with the police, 2 he did his lor dor and is a reserve Officer (army), 3 he is doing his military service at the police hospital.

Yes. Not all monks are the same.

Smoking is not on the list. When they wrote down the rules (2000+ years ago) smoking was not discovered yet. You can avoid the money rules by using a credit card (plastic) or by putting it in an envelope.

  6. Both my sons were born in Mae Sariang. Cost 500 baht local insurance + 2500 baht envelope for the delivery team (C section) around that time (mid 90 ties) it was 100.000 baht + at Ram en 50.000 + at Mc Cormick in CNX. For many poor people it is a financial decision with no options and for those with money more like an emotional decision out of safety concern. All check-ups were done before we moved to Mae Sarriang, because of my job (away from home) it was better to stay with her family. Both C-section on appointment (4.125 gr and 4.520 gr). We had a private room ( bathroom running water and typical Thai toilet) as in the ward we had a lot of refugees who just got a couple days to deliver and then had to go back to the refugee camp. Our room was more like 200 baht guest room,at the ward with 15 beds, you had in average 2 people extra per bed sleeping on the floor to help the mother. I took care of my wife (washing and cleaning) as the nurses only gave injections and took care of the medicines. Another team of aid nurses took care of the babies. FYI the C section was performed by a normal doctor only 3 available at that time in the Mae Sarriang area. Once at home my mother in law took care teaching her daughter how to do it. BKK hospital is good but don't forget it is a business, Overbrook is also private but has Christian roots. While in Chiang Rai we always used Overbrook for our customers in case we had a medical problem on the tour.

Requiring proof of vaccinations is hilarious.

Only 11% of the population is currently vaccinated,

meaning,  flights can only be at 11% capacity.

As people mentioned (complained about it)  before mostly the Hi So and those who can afford plane ticket are probably in that 11% group ???? I suggest you contact the TAT for their figures bet they are more positive ????

    What do you mean?

There are not many international students here.

I pay 50k a term for one of my daughters.  On top of that 50k for a condo, and maybe 30k for pocket money/food.  130k a term.

    This is Assumption Uni

You mean ABAC? Depends on the Major, aeronautical engineering is the most expensive one.
