  1. I only asked about the X5 in comparison with the EcoSport, because I know one particular X5 may be available for sale soon. There is not to many around,so it will be nice to know something more about it...If somebody got an experience with this particular car,I would appreciate the input....

...and thanks to posters, who already shared their views here... ;)

  2. Well,it's been kind of boring around here (except for the obvious c... situation),so what do you guys think, should I get a brand new EcoSport,or 10 year old BMW X5?I know,it is kind of weird to compare these two,but let say the X5 is really nice, has only 70+K km on the clock and....I can possibly get it for the same money...

...fire away....I do have some time to think about it,but some helpful thoughts will be appreciated... ;)

  3. Yes I think after reading all the reviews Yamaha has the edge, after all with the 883 I would be buying a less powerful, less advanced machine for 200k more than the Yam. The Bolt is a real looker and very customizable. So I will go ahead and book the Yam, I was told there's a 2 month wait ..it's going to be a long 2 months for me.

and you will save a fortune at the dentist..... those Harleys can rattle wisdom teeth loose!

Nonsense, the engine is rubber mounted man, I didn't fell any vibrations on my 2002 RK

unfortunately we have no immocon for toungue in cheek...........

...one can use this whistling.gif ...tongue.pngwink.png

  4. Look in the ads of Chiang Mai Citylife... There is always a guy renting trucks... Bet he has helpers too

Thanks Kevin, actually I do have a truck, what I need is the little push thingy that helps move appliances around...the one on the photo, that I've included in the OP...but I've already got some good leed to it,so....thanks again thumbsup.gif

  5. Hmm...that's interesting...Thailand is the only country (that I know,at least),that it seems the 'earth' is not necessary....'my' house is (only) 15 years new and the only 'earth' it's got is to the new appliances, that I've installed...I still get an occasional 'zippp' from my PC,if I touch the body....and need to put rubber slippers to adjust the volume on the home entertainment unit...and,of course,no EFI's in bathrooms...w00t.gif

There are regional regulations - in the past an earth was not required, but increasingly more PEA/MEA's do want to see and test an Earth and an RCD in new constructions. For your own safety, you should upgrade to earthed sockets and an RCD, whether required by local rules or not, of course wink.png

Yes and agreed....and the new house I'm building will all have the up to 'code' electrical installations...thumbsup.gif

  7. Not even two weeks and some drunk sleepy Thai falls asleep at the wheel and crashes into my right rear fender, destroying the tail light and causing significant damage to the panel. Man was I pissed off. The damage isn't that bad...but ...Only two weeks with the car. The wife says the reason for the accident is because I didn't have the car blessed at the Monkery.attachicon.gifImage00001.jpg

    Yeap...That's sucks...

    (...and it's your fault...tongue.png )

  8. To make this even more interesting, looks like my car is tinted from the factory. Looks like a 20-30% tint. But it's too hot inside the car. Now I worry that if I put a 30% tint on top of that, it will be too dark. hmm

If you have another tint, they will take it off...can't put one on top of another.

Unless it's a factory glass, you will be OK than...

  9. I fitted top grade clear 3M film to my car in the middle east. I think its the crystaline range that blocks out 90% UV and a high percentage of heat.

In 50+ centigrade heat its been a lifesaver and the difference between not fitted and now is very noticeable. I can even put my bare hands on the steering wheel in the middle of the day without it feeling like i've put my hand in a fire.

The only advantage ot dark tint is privacy. It's big disadvantage is lack of vision when night driving.

For me clear is good enough. It does have a slight tint in it anyway.

Some folks are like to be visible in their multimillion cars...that's where 3M Crystalline is necessary...blocks the UV and heat, but it's not dark...wink.png

Earthquakes are a natural act, or an act of nature. What has some superstitious hocus pocus got to do with it. You're not an insurance claims surveyor by any chance?

Now come on, Mr. Smith, let's not be pedantic. You're not the only one who believes man created god, well lots of them in fact, but an act of god IS an acceptable term for a natural disaster whether you choose to believe in one or not. coffee1.gif

...that's how they call disasters in US,at least..."The Act of God"...and this has nothing to do with any religion... wink.png

Why are people talking in biblical language? I guess I don't come from a country where "in god we trust" is printed on the bank notes, and creation theory is taught in schools facepalm.gif

...I guess NOT...wink.png ...but do you say sometimes....'God Save The Queen' ?! tongue.pnglaugh.png

  11. An act of god? Were you snoozing during geology lessons?

Earthquakes are a part of the natural order, and hence an Act of God. ie: NOT man made destruction.

  12. One mystery and an answer to a question that I always wanted to know; what do women or even gays see in men’s bodies?

To me men have always appeared unattractive, they’re skin is rough and hard, hairy, hard bodies, smell like BO, ugly legs, some are bald headed or have beards, rough hairy faces and deep gruff voices.

Nothing like the feel of a young woman, skin like velvet, soft feminine voices, smooth and soft and smell nice, luxury for any man in my opinion.

A young lady once told me, that contrary to popular belief, penis size is not a number one priority when it comes to choosing male partners, they look for other qualities, but I am at a loss to figure out what they are? I am certain that if I would have been born a female, I would now be a lesbian.

    ...hmmm...maybe you are.. w00t.gif
