Krungsri online banking discontinued from 1 October 2025
It seems I forgot what I was supposed to ask👴. Do I have to go to the bank with the above mentioned printed out documents when I finished the application online and can already use Krungsri Biz online? Thanks Felt

Krungsri online banking discontinued from 1 October 2025
I did the same today and am up and running with Krungsri Biz online. I don't know how the rest of you did this but first I filled out a form (online) according to Krungsri's instructions when it was done I was told to print it out and take that form with me to the Krungsri bank I use within 7 days! Which made me a little surprised😞 because I thought it was possible to do it all online after what I read on AN and also on the web to Krungsri Biz. However I thought not today😑. Anyway about 5-6 hours later I got an SMS from Krungsri Biz in Thai with a message with a temporary password and an email with the same username from Krungsrionline.com Logged in with that and as mentioned up and going with both accounts there but what about bankbooks from Krungsri online. Will it be like before or do they have to be canceled? Thanks Felt

Great that you find it charming, but I can tell you that 3 hours of road biking at an average speed of 35 km/h is not very charming for us over the top, but it gives a certain satisfaction, maybe especially with the thought that we are doing something and are not dependent on anything other than our own will and strength and not an app.😉 Felt- I need rotator cuff surgery my insurance turned me down where to go for less than 350,000b?
I Had an accident similar in 2022 with a full width tear of the supraspinatus tendon which is one of the four rotator cuff muscles. I got a quote at Bumrungrad shortly after Thb 425,000, - My insurance did not cover and I was anyway scared about recovery time so I returned home and both my general practitioner and an orthopedic shoulder specialist did not recommend that I undergo any surgery due to the long recovery time and, not least at my age, the chances of my shoulder recovering completely were slim. They did however recommend physiotherapy. I returned to Thailand and did the training myself, as I do regular strength training anyway. At that time, I had pain even when I was lying in bed, could not lift my arm out to the side and even swimming was impossible - Today, three years later, I can load 8kg on each arm and do lateral raises, swimming is painless, and I sleep without pain. Actually not. Never had any app on my phone and never will. My handphone are only with me when out for long bicycle rides in case I end in the ditch 🙂 Felt- Whats the point of the morning and afternoon alcohol law?

If Thailand could have a government, immigration and tax system that is equal and for all and laws that are not only written but enforced and obeyed then there is no doubt that the pensioners would make a huge contribution to the treasury. But as it is now some pay taxes some don't, some immigration offices say this some say another thing and all the mess is mostly to make some fees for a massive underpaid workforce that could be reduced to 25% of the current workforce and with the income from taxes from both Thais and foreigners it would more than offset any immigration fees. IMO, I think Thailand and their tourist visa policy including DTV, etc. needs a more thorough review than visas for retirees. If the goal as written in the article is to attract wealthier foreigners' and fewer legal headaches related to overstaying visas or working illegally. Either wealthier foreigners or the average foreign retire like to live in a crime infested country, for where in the world can any #¤"%&/#¤ idiot come with a passport and continue to stay for years with a few breaks in a minibus over the borders. 🙃 Felt- Retirement visa
Sorry for the off-topic question and not meant to detract from the original poster. But I see it written further up in the thread that when using the 800k method, the applicant must prove that the 800k comes from abroad. What I do now a year in advance before next year's application is to transfer from abroad a little more each month and I should then have plus 800k in the bank two months before the next retirement renewal. Is that accepted and then in addition show a year's bank statement or does Immigration require to see a "lumpsum" of 800k transferred from abroad? Btw, this is not my first retirement extension.
