  1. I've used Wise for many years and there have been a handful of times when it's been delayed, as far as I remember it's been at a weekend. Last weekend my wife had to wait 2 days for her transfer to reach SCB. I did a transfer to Kbank on the Monday morning and it arrived within seconds. She was still waiting for her transfer to arrive. Maybe it depends who the receiving bank is.
  2. I've just returned to Thailand after 5 months. I reconnected the battery and my PCX started first time. The tyres were virtually flat but other than that the bike has been fine. I had left the tank full, by the way.
  3. I have two TP link models. Both work fine they rarely need rebooting.
  4. I transferred £200 with Wise last week, but this time there was no box asking for the reason for the transfer. The transfer usually takes a couple of seconds but this time it took nearly an hour. I'm wondering if there's a connection.
  5. My wife started losing her hair in her mid 30's (shes now 42) She's tried many things from tablets to shampoos, but nothing works.
  6. I did it 5 years ago by making a booking (on BA I think) LON - PAR it was a 24 hour option which cost £5. I printed the confirmation out and attached it to the BKK-LHR ticket printout. I let the option expire. We actually used the Eurostar in the end.
  7. When we did it 2 years ago it took 6 months. The delay was blamed on the Ukraine crisis. So hopefully it will be shorter now.
  8. Should have put his towel down first.
  9. I resent having to pay the NHS fee. My wife is working full time in the UK and paying National Insurance. To me it seems that we're are paying twice for using the legal route.
  10. I have read on some Thai lawyer's websites that Holographic wills are legal in Thailand. But naturally they don't recommend them. In this case lawyer's stationary is not required and the will must be completely written by hand.
  11. I renewed my 5 year license in February and was told foreigners have to make an appointment in person, bring your passport and get there before 9 as appointments are limited. When you come back you must have a qr code proving you watched the video.
  12. I used the translator in the MFA which was just as well as a miniscule error was spotted, so it was easy to take it back to the translator to correct. Also they were cheaper than outside quotes I received.
  13. A lot more sophisticated now than a few years ago when it was just a number written on the back of a cigarette box.
  14. Thanks for that info. I finally managed to set up my bank apps outside of Thailand.
  15. After reading my policy I stopped using motorbike taxis as none of them seem to provide a passenger helmet anymore.
