  1. Finally, I agree with you. Yep, Japan 35 years for the market to recover. The USA was 25 but with intermediate wars. Just my advice to another, who is probably much closer to 22 than I am. But I can't afford to wait.
  2. Can be either way - import or export.
  3. Easy. By spending. There was a brief pause post Covid, then off he went again like the silly old nutcase he is.
  4. Why? Who can say? But many will say that there was no need for Russia to invade in the first place. I don't want any (over)kill but think what might happen once the first weapon in used? If that happens who can say more than one warhead would not be used after that and be limited to a single site? Too many chances of this getting out of control, therefore all too dangerous.
  5. Just one missile type, just one warhead type and just one detonation. But what if there were more and of different types? From different sides even?
  6. The Grace used to be our terminus after spilling out of the original Thermae at 0500. The demographic you mention was already well established there (by late 1970's I think). We used to make a point of calling in for a bacon and something breakfast! Happy days.
  7. That only helps when the ship doesn't already have a 15-year old hole, the size of a bus, below the waterline.
  8. Good points. All true. A shame that the syndromians choose to ignore these points.
  9. Steven exhibiting his syndrome.
  10. Exactly but bar the Covid dip, this has already been a 15 year bull market, pumped up by the most extreme money printing in history most of this period, as well as being further encouraged by mostly near zero interest rates. After this, the broad US markets are all due for a major correction, with or without Trump. The dollar is step-sliding and will go down too .. then down more. Nearly everyone ignores the debt, with the unfunded liabilities being at least triple that of the official (gov) debt.
  11. If that is true then, for Russia, Putin is even more counterproductive.
  12. If you want to compare power stations to missiles, then go ahead and be silly.
  13. It looks like the main inconvenience has been Putin. I'm not sure he has any right to be "there" over Zelensky.
  14. It would be if they did. The fallout would contaminate European Russia too, where most of the Russians live.
  15. The problem is both. Fraud is a crime.
  16. Then maybe I have something at last? I don't have any evidence, only my own recollections from my time in Africa. For foreign news, the Africans I remember listened to French or BBC services but never VoA. No U.S. colonial history there, really. Maybe Donald will put a bid in for Togo?
  17. Little effect. Most Africans would not even know what VoA is, let alone tune in.
