  1. adding layers of CF and kevlar to the original would only make it stronger...adding a further layer of honeycomb would increase impact dispersion even further.

tell you what, i'll ride with my helmet and you keep your ABS plastic helmets...when you lose it and smash the concrete head first remember me when your in the ambulance.

it appears Arai already makes them, as well as a few others, i bet your wondering why you didn't search on the net before opening your holes

  2. First before you open your restaurant run do not walk to the nearest Psychiatrist

and give him all of you money. Then go sit under the bridge and relax and have positive thought about how lucky you are NOT to have opened a restaurant. I'm a highly experienced Chef and once had the crazy idea to own my own restaurant. I shelled out big bucks and started one. Little did I know that I had just forfeited all of my time to the "" Bottom less Pit" never knowing if I would have enough money to pay the help, light and gas, salaries, social fund payments, cost of food, and a million other things no body ever tells you about. Go out and talk to some restaurant owners and get there feed back.

Being the owner and Chef of your own ""Joint "" is a real downer. What you will find just because you are a master of your food does not mean you will be successful. Running a restaurant is much more then good cooking. Good chefs make lousy managers in most all cases. Read Tony Bourdain's Kitchen Confidential. He tells it exactly how it is. 4 out of every 5 restaurants fail with in three years. It really is a terrible way to own a business, Run to that Psychiatrist now!

a mexican taqueria, isnt your typical restaraunt, everythings pre-prepared just scoop, roll, cut and serve.

nothing like a typical restaurant where each dish must be prepared specifically.

most restaraunts fail because the owners are too lazy to do the work themselves.

to the OP, make sure you have 6 months worth of emergency funds, the 6 months are the hardest.

oh and - nachos using velveeta cheese please, and make your own sour cream, most places here buy it and spend about 10 times what they should, hence very little sour cream at almost all mexican places.

  3. you will love this route, coming from victory monument.

take rama 9 towards the airport, and go down to the access road parrallel to the motorway, after going over the bridge that crosses srinakarin...you will be parrallel with the outer ring raod.

take it all the way down till you get to the traffic light, which will be the ramkhamhaeng intersection. then go right.

go till the last 3 way intersection where you will be forced to go left or right - go right

then take your first left at the stoplight.

follow this road, it is a tree lined road in Nong chok...go till the end then go left, this will take you to chachoengsao, and on through to rangsit....the whole ride is pretty much in the countryside with green grass, trees and nice breezes. If you go at noon and the sun is shining, its beautiful.

you can also take this route to nakhon nayok/ongkarak/prachinburi.

  4. get a copy of the thai power of attorney document (this alows title transfer without her prescence) as well as a title transfer document, get her to sign both and get a copy of her ID card and house registration...both also signed....make sure the book is signed also.

problem solved, i wouldnt worry too much about her reporting it stolen..she would have to be an a extrememly cunniving person to do that.

  5. been seeing more and more cops on CBR 150's lately, kinda worrying...in the event you have to run, wonder if they are modifying their bikes??? have to check what sprockets theyre using. :)

got stopped on Sukhumvit two weeks ago and asked about his boxer 200, he said it was fast (160kph) but not smooth like the CBR or Click.

  6. to transfer ownership, you need a copy of the registered owners CURRENT ID card - before the ID card expires.

If the ID card is expired you will have to track down the owner and get a current copy...you will also need the 'power of attorney' document - this allows you to transfer ownership without the previous owner being present.

Shipping to another country, just send it as parts. No title required.

  7. Arh racing, I see youre around samut prakan, go to one of the motorcycle taxi's across from seacon square and ask them to lead you to Arh racing....guy did my bike many years ago, but has moved and i can't find him any longer... his son took a handlebar in the gut, so i'm not sure if he's still doing it.

This is the only person i can recommend, since he did prior work to my bike and did a good job, nothing ever broke, but took it back once to readjust the timing...some shops can do it, but not all shops can do it properly without things breaking.

cost me 6k baht, excluding cdi, gears, brake reservoir and a 428 instead of the 415 chain.

i'll poke around and see if he's still doing it, i'll let you know later.

  8. there's the :

    1. intake/exhaust port and carburetor port mods

    2. advanced ignition mod

    3. four stages to the clutch mod - springs, shorter post, less plates, copper plates

    4. the bike should already have carbon reeds, but may be worn out by now.

    5. lengthened stroke - but will be lethargic for the first 15 feet (unless you rev up), but then the powerband will slap you in the face - not really good for city driving.

    6. 415 racing chain and sprockets

    7. bigger brake reservoir, stainless braided lines

    8. CDI - don't over rev and blow your piston.

    9. higher compression, either shave the head or a taller piston - if applicable

    10. internal gears, probably the best mod if there are any deadspots -

eg: the cbr 150 has an extremely short 1st gear and a tall 6th gear that drops rpms way too much.

My 1st, 2nd, 5th, 6th gears have been done and pulls twice as hard in 6th. Shifting from 5th to 6th the stock gearing loses about 1200 rpm, now im only losing 500 rpm on the upshift.
