  1. That is what im saying.. it has something to do with the rubber.. and yes it was a problem for me because i let the wave stand outside for a week and then expected to ride it again. I hated having to fill my tires all the time.

Air Compressor, Tesco/Lotus: 199 baht :) EASY & you should be checking your tyre pressures often.....one of the most important parts of the vehicle.

Similar process here with me. I bought two from Big C, one to keep in the SUV and one for around the house: bicycle tyres, motorcycles tyres, trailer tyres etc...

  2. ..funny as hel_l :)

Weng has found himself a purpose then. :D

Those of us from the UK look on in fascination as some of our eccentric countrymen enjoy the sport of Welly Wenging. This is a country sport where people throw a wellington boot (rubber boot to the Americans) as far as they can. The Thai's I hear have taken up this sport, except the boots are filled with a. red chilli sauce; B. pig's blood or C. Aids & Hep viruses wrapped in red blood cells. The world championships will be held in Montenegro next month in an event sponsored by Khun Thickskin's new energy drink called "What a ruddy sauce".

Yes, I can see it now, as it is all coming together: The Wenglympics :D

  3. Knowing the bike shop in question, I am highly sceptical that a full scale ducati level operation with the kind of capital investment, training, access to engine management computers, etc, would be likely.

I mean, would be great if it is, but thats a deep pockets kind of thing. Maybe as some kind of branded 'reseller' arrangement with oil changes and simple stuff done locally ??

Mmm, you may have a point. The 'engine management computer' at Thonglor wasn't available recently as it was in Phuket.  :)

Well, I still haven't heard anymore on the Chiang Mai outlet, be it an oil and lube center for Ducati's. The only change / update I've seen on the Ducati website, is that they have gone from www.ducatisti.co.th to www.ducatithailand.com. Hopefully the air may be cleared soon as to what is happening in Chiang Mai. I wish they would pull their fingers out of there <deleted> and state something..!

  4. I agree that some TV posters are driving very fast, just look at some of the video clips they attached :) , oh man they are living a dangerous life or maybe I am getting old (48) :D . I prefer to cruise on the HD at 100-140 km/h and enjoy the scenery.

What ever you ride, ride safely.

Bikes are dangerous. Period. Whether you come off at 120km/hr or 220km/hr, on a public road your chances of surviving are next to none...

Read somewhere that the vast majority of bike fatalities here in Thailand are alcohol related...

    Keep her shiny side up!

I think it boils down to that famous quote Tony.......SHIT HAPPENS

  5. the eccentric doctor-turned-political-activist into an overnight celebrity, with teenagers now using his name as a slang and an online mockery game invented with his screaming face on it.

  6. been a fan of Confederate bikes a long time, the Wraith a favourite.

Saw a Thai magazine in a coffee shop this week - 'art & design' not a bike mag, and it had a feature on this bike as an example of design/style (I suppose that's what it was, i couldn't read it)

120 cubic inch, 160hp at rear wheel (claimed), 460lbs

    Anyway, here's a pic, and a link Confederate P120

Did you check out their online store? I almost fell off my office chair when I saw the price of their leather jackets. :D Oh and the jackets are marked down to their price..strewth :)

  7. His big mouth is otherwise known as Weng Wien Yai

I feel you are being very nice JB, I would have thought Weng Wien Yak would emphasize the point more :)

Since "Wong Wian Yai" in Thai means "a big circle" or a "Circus" perhaps it is appropos?

Its okay I thought you were using a bit of poetic license and terming Wien as whine, my bad :D

  8. Thanks Oze, I am a Yamaha man from wayback, so I will definately be taking a look at the elegance....although I must point out that someone else here will stongly enfluence things on the look factor (according to her), so I will have to balance it all out, keeping in mind my care factor is fairly low because I have my eyes on something much more beautiful for myself :)

'fess up, what are you getting? :D

  9. This entire thread is an incredible weng -- sleep would be more entertaining !

    Oh you're such a whine..ur...wenger :D

This Weng guy is going to become a folk hero, that is for all thepeople who want to take the mickey out of someone :)
