The child has the record of his or her birth from the hospital. this is what is needed to get an identity from the embassy of the country of citizenship of the parents. The same rules apply in many western countries now.
-
Only a child who has one parent Thai is entitled to register a birth. There is no right to one.

Give her 4000 bhat after she has finished cleaning the room open the door tell her to go to 7/11 and lock the door never to open it again for her .
Nothing really wrong with her wanting 4000 baht to spend or send to her family, what would worry me is that she was not willing to do the cleaning until she was paid. Warning bells are ringing.

I must be lucky, or living in a parallel universe.
Over the years I've had several Asian girlfriends, Korean (3), Malaysian-Chinese (1), Thai (2, one of which is now my wife). All have been obsessed with cleaning. Even a one-night stand I had (Malay lady in KL) was up and cleaning before I surfaced on the Sunday after the Saturday night, evidently trying to impress even after being bounced around the bedroom any and every way possible (plus some)
I'm happy now to pay for a lady to help my wife, after 12 years of wedded bliss she deserves it despite the fact that they spend most of the two days a week I pay for gassing.
That two days of someone to talk to in the house may be the more valuable than the cleaning.

Only if you are doing an application at one of the 4 offices that have been asking for a verification of the consular officer's signature that did it.
It would be nice if you could say which 4.

Mr NancyL is well known in certain CM circles and is generally regarded very highly, I personally have seen them both together at various points around CM many times - nothing phantom about him at all.
Just he finds it hard to get a word in.

I understand all bars and places of entertainment are to close for a month. I think this will be enforced. Fortunately this happens only once ever 40 years or so.

Older Thai people and the Thai Chinese always used to lop cats tails to stop them climbing and catching birds. Without the tail for balance they do not jump from high places well.

There are organisations here that will apply in the UK court and she will get a lawyer as it is for the child.
If you are serious go to your local court and apply for an urgent order. They have people to do that there ////there is no need for a lawyer. You will get the paper and then get the departure blocked.
-
You do not need a lawyer in the family court to put the order in place.
-
She will apply to the court for child support for your baby and the UK court will order you to send it at UK rates.

What if you're stamped out at Ranong, your boat sinks and you are rescued back to Thailand?
Not the same as the question asked by the OP.
It would depend upon when the boat sank, On the way to Myanmar or on the way back? Damaged or lost passports?
Hi ubonjoe! After quite a few years reading TV forums, my estimation of your knowledge, common sense and patience never seems to amaze me! You're The One!
Hobobo - I also have the utmost respect for Ubonjoe and I get your sarcasm but you Hobobo have missed my point entirely.
In both cases you are in a virtual "no man's land" as you are in the lawless Poipet casino stretch between the borders.
One can easily get mugged there if drunk and stupid and in my first example Thai driven boats sink almost daily down here in the South.
I'll take it a step further - if you die in such a "No man's land" - in which country did you die?
This can be very important for insurance purposes, death certificates to be issued etc.
Just idle thoughts perhaps as I have passed through these areas a number of times.
You are still very definitely in Thailand. That is the law that will get you. Unless however they give you a tranit visa that is where you will remain though till you leave.

Sribirin gives excelent service and the ED is generally (not allways) good. The meter starts however if you are admitted.

They will have to make the decision whether to revoke the visa or not. That is not the call of either the boss reeporting or the embassy. The decision would be made in the US but if the question is can it be cancelled the answer is yes if the US decide to.
-
Thais need a visa for laos they just get it free.

In Chiang Mai they have the foreigners graveyard, where if you are a long term
resident,you can buy a plot,got mine bought already,as I don't want to be
cremated, and definitely not shipped back to the UK, it cost 15k,but i think
the price has gone up since then.not sure if there are others around Thailand.
regards worgeordie
And some people think it is impossible for a foreigner to own land here.
Actually it is owned I believe by the British Embassy and vested in a trust but one of the members here knows a lot more about that and may like to tell us. Otherwise do a search of past theads
.

Doyou mean you have a Thai Visa in a US passport?
or do you have a visa to go to the usa?
the answer could be different depending on which one.

Ask your Customs agent what is the current tariff for HS Code 8511.40.32, which is what I think starter motors come under. It used to be 35% of CIF Value and then there is 7% VAT on that as well.
Shipping was 50 GBP, so total was just shy of 200 GBP, I will just assume your correct, then the correct amount is 4,300 baht. Thanks Boksida. I don't feel as cheated. I think I can live with myself. hah
You then have to add 7% GST on that.

The fine would be because I would be exiting the country a few days after my visa expires (500 baht/day). My question is whether or not that will affect my ability to get a new visa.
I plan on attending the embassy in Penang. I've already spent a year in Thailand.
An overstay fine (imposed by the Thai immigration service) will not affect any future visa applications.
The is no Thai Embassy in Penang if you wish to go to an Thai Embassy in Malaysia you will need to travel to Kuala Lumpur.
I think you will find however there is a consulate which is an embassy not in a capital city for the pedants.

What disapoints me about this post is not that BangkokFarang has merged into VillageFarang but the sad comment that there is a derth of interesting people around here to have conversations with. I have met VF and he is an extremely nice person as I am sure many of the other people in the community are if we only talk to them. Sadly few of us do and live with the communication on forums. People here are real people too. VillageFarang is able to get about the community and I am sure there are many people here that his life experiences would enrich as would theirs him. Sadly I am unable to move about freely but I still think that many in the community would be well worth talking to.
Sorry to disappoint you Harrry but we simply don’t agree on this subject. I have great sympathy for your situation but it doesn't change my personal point of view.
Whereas I am quite capable of engaging in a conversation with almost anyone, that doesn’t mean I always get something out of it. Some people are more interesting, intelligent, articulate, experienced, charming and inspiring than others.Instead of trying to appease the lowest common denominator by telling them how wonderful they are, I would rather be around people who are extraordinary and challenge one to dream or open doors into new realms previously unexplored. I have some Thai friends who are like that but no farang friends in Chiang Rai that fill that bill. Sure it is nice to say hello and chat in one’s own language but it is little more than civility and a social nicety. It is clearly a more populist view to say people are people and we are all the same but that simply has not been my experience in life. People are all different and some really are much more interesting than others, especially after having spoken with them.No sympahy needed VF. I have a rewarding life as it is. It may be richer if I could get about and talk to people but it is quite rich enough.
By the way the definition of share is:
a : to partake of, use, experience, occupy, or enjoy with othersb : to have in common <they share a passion for opera>
I guess if you have little in common with people you have little to share.

I strongly advise you only to get a refundable and transferable ticket. If there is any problem and you cannot leave on that flight at least you have some chance of getting home even if it does mean getting locked up for a few days.

Visa for a child
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
No. It is the record of birth. The law is framed that way to ensure that people do not have children in a host country and then claim rights for the child and to live with the child which would subvert normal immigration policies. Personally I do not agree with it but it is not just Thailand this applies in.
