  1. OMG look at his earring! This guys was lost long time ago and grew up very sad prob..

Well let all the stories begin again (lol)

By the way i see Thai also with the same symbol on a T-shirt but little know what it is here.

The Swastica for Thais is having different meaning. It is a symbol used in budhism. Check out about the Swastica more here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swastika and you will see how many times and places it was and is used befor Nazis.

Obviously the one in the German guys ears is not symbol of budhism...

Maybe for Thais over 30. For younger ones Nazism is a popular fashion statement and the swastikas they proudly flaunt are symbols of such.

    Case in point hitler-restaurant.jpg

That's bullshit and some of the worst photoshop I've seen 555.
  2. After gazing into my crystal ball there are some predictions I want to share.

1 Yinglick will resign at the end of May when Taksin's political ban is finished

2 Taksin will be chosen to replace her as prime minister.

3 Parliament will find a way for Taksin to return with immunity from being arrested. Perhaps they will make him an MP or he will be appointed as a senator.

4 Taksin will arrive soon after, in his “glory” with the presence of the police detail that will protect him as the PM.

5 Civil war will engulf Thailand within a few weeks of Taksin’s return.

Nice load of <deleted> for your first post :)

  3. Thunderbird is a good free client, but it sounds like the problem is malware on your machine. Definitely change your password, but bear in mind this may be again be captured by whatever malware is on your machine. Try a virus scan in safe mode first. Use Malwarebytes and Spybot scans in addition to your usual antivirus. Restore OS to a point before this happened etc. If all else fails, backup important stuff and reinstall OS.

    +1 for Thunderbird

  4. Simple economics, supply and demand sets the price

That is the way it should be

    I see no problem

you obvious;ly know nothing about Thailand.

"Simple" economics or market forces don't apply in Thailand as the entire economy is in the hands of a tiny number of people who work things out through monopolies, cartels, graft and nepotism.........."supply and demand" - my arse!

    What a load of crap...

  5. I'd say 1 guy in 100 is cut out for telesales, and a foreign country is not a good place to figure out you're broke with no prospects, no permission to live and/or an expensive visa trip to budget for every few months.

You may also want to search forums for "Thai girlfriend" to get a good estimate of what chances you have of a successful long term relationship. I'm not saying it won't happen for you, but you'd be risking a lot for some probability and you should probably understand what that probability is.

I'd suggest an EBay based business in your GF's name. You can probably make more on EBay than you can as a foreigner coming to Thailand with no experience- if you choose the right products and strategy.

    Good luck whatever you choose.

Have to agree re: thai gf aspect, i'd bet serious, good money your thai gf has thai/farang guys on the side here in thailand while you are over there in the US. Cynical? Perhaps. True? 90% chance yes.

ExpatJ, Just because you've been f!*&ed over, stop finding your gf in bars is my advice... 555

  6. I'd be very careful about trying to change anything on an existing Paypal Account, any hint of what Paypal euphemistically calls "unusual activity" and you may easily find your Account - and Funds - blocked, then have a h##l of a time getting the problem resolved.

This Website details many instances : http://paypalsucks.com/

Far better to open a new Account in my opinion.

    Patrick

    +1 from experience...

  7. I would go on to add

    OOP programming for PHP5

    MVC ( Model–view–controller ) 3 & 4 patterns,

    JSON, XML.

jQuery is pretty good library for javascript selectors and AJAX requests.

CSS3 ( apart from browser incompatibilities, but whats new )

HTML5, I've been using this for the past 6 months and it's pretty powerful, I love it.

    IDE's

From an IDE I would look at, Eclipse & Netbeans, both have good debuggers I use XDebug.

    And I use

Eclipse for Android, Joomla, Drupal and Wordpress devlopment

Netbeans for stand alone PHP projects

Also a good Javascript debugger, I prefer Firebug for FF.

But all IDE's and debuggers are a matter of preference, this is just my development setup.

  8. 555 here we go 'all Thai girls are the same thread', 'I've been done, robbed, blah blah blah' thread you guys make me laugh, thanks...

the dead guy took a chance, I guess a drift racer lives on taking chances, his luck ran out, som nam na

He could have punished her more if he had controlled his anger maybe and planned to take everything he gave to her away, but this kind of anger must be nearly impossible to control and bottle away for revenge at a later date.

  9. Abhisit said later that he offered the government three suggestions - closely coordinate the work of its many flood centres to ensure unity, clearly designate areas of responsibility and quickly evacuate victims from heavily flooded areas, and issue an order to allow special powers for the government.

Interesting. I don't know what special power the government needs that it does not already wield.

Even more interesting that Abhisit calls for special powers.

Had PM Yingluck made this call, this thread would be filled with the psychotic rantings of marginal foreign guests screaming that it was a plot by the government to turn the nation into a dictatorship. Some people should take the hint, that if political opponents can give the impression they are working on behalf of the nation, that the farang venom spitting can go on hiatus too. The government is doing the best it can under very difficult circumstances.

    :clap2:

O dear the conspiracy theorists are out, Abhisit is giving advice based on his experience as PM. She can take it or leave it,

I think it meant that Government should declare state of emergency in the flooded areas. But government prefer to let people die and not loose face.

The Government has left it up to the individual province to declare a state of emergency, you won't know that as your obviously a blinkered Abhisit lover and /or Yingluck hater

  10. why don't they call in the armed forces to fix this?

It's almost like the PM has not walked in waist deep sewerage, and doesn't understand the plight of the people up norff.

Oh you mean like all the past PM's 555

I guess you don't watch the news much... The pictures in recent days of former PM Abhisit waist deep in flood water while Taksin's clone gets ankle deep in boots or walks on the water while everyone else swims in it are generating a lot of discussion on Thai forums.

    post-56035-0-37436800-1318344208_thumb.j...

Oh I see it's a how deep competition 55, Abhisit has to now as you say he's former PM, one of his I'm really one of and understand the people now.
