Politics Prawit Targets Paetongtarn Over Diplomatic Missteps with Cambodia
Sydebolle replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Children, come fast and have a look, the pudding can talk ............ Go back to nap, old geezer, focus on things you understand something. Sure she got lured onto thin ice which broke in but what does one expect from an inexperienced "politician"; Thaksin and Hun Sen, both are to blame for having thrown her under the bus. The old toad geezer now puts up his unsolicited frat while Anutin with glossy eyes thinks "knives out". All this has nothing to do with governing a country, Thailand would deserve soooooooooooo much better than this concentration of clowns -

Politics Parliament Showdown Looms as Bhumjaithai Seeks to Oust PM
Sydebolle replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Well, while I certainly agree on that point, my fear is "what's next"? Anutin is equally power-horny like a small poodle and would also throw anybody in his way under the bus. Most of these MPs are there for the money and little interest in running the country, as long as the uneducated electorate is controlled with 500 Baht/vote against being able to do afterwards, what they want. What has been going on over the last few months has absolutely nothing to do in steering Thailand through murky waters, looking professionally into how to tackle economy, tourism and investment. This here is nothing but a tent of seriously professional circus clowns. Paetongtarn with zero experience fell nose forward into a nasty trap by Hun Sen - a despicable Khmer Rouge relict who should have been locked away while throwing away the keys. The MP is puppet mastered by her father who already sacrificed his own sister for pure personal power gain and maintenance. So is this, what Thailand is in 2025; nothing learnt since 1932? Seriously? -
Politics Thaksin's Cambodia Concerns Stir Political Pot
Sydebolle replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Who threw who under the bus this time? -
a) how do they know the nationality; my (Thai) driving license does not say b) only one of the two IDP International Driving Permits is recognized by Thailand c) can it be taken that many Thais (as seen countless times myself) settle the "inconvenience" with one or two red banknotes while the police officer is bending into the car on the driver's side? What is the purpose of this editorial in the first place - do I interpret more "farang bashing"?

TDAC - is it checked?
Sydebolle replied to SABloke's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Your TDAC code is linked with your passport and once the passport is scanned, the TDAC pops up - simple as that... -
Where were all these protesters, when the present rulers just threw out 14+ million votes of the Move Forward party which allowed the present composition of government in the first place? 14+ million votes in the garbage and now 150,000 apparently want to demostrate against the outcome of the last rigged election?

Politics Thaksin Plays Power Card to Keep Paetongtarn in Place
Sydebolle replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
How nice that all the voters needs are so nicely wrapped up professionally to advance Thailand as a whole and the individual voter in particular. -
And who woke up the old goat this time? Before this human manured brain opens his mouth again he might undergo some lengthy lessons in behavior in public as well as how to treat women respectfully. He prefers men - quite obviously - but this is not a free pass to mistreat female journalists in particular and women in general the way this old spineless geezer has behaved in the past. Also make sure that he wears slip proof slippers to avoid, that anyone would have to clean up after he falls again ๐ A disgrace to army and country!

Report Thailand Tightens Rules for Foreign Drivers: Tests Now Mandatory
Sydebolle replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Makes perfect sense so at least SOME drivers have a genuine driver's license. I used Bolt drivers without a license, I bought cars from showrooms which included a new driving license and had a "lifelong" license reissued (the old one got stolen) against a 5-years license. It can be safely assumed, that more than half the Thai drivers would fail any test anywhere else; no minimum driving lessons by authorized/licensed driving instructors required, the video show is used for napping or smartphone games at the DLT - in short - just another governmental joke of the finest order. Having said that, you're well advised to have a license which is valid in the holy land as, in case of an accident, it is (normally) anyhow your fault and without a valid license the insurance will throw you under the bus as well. Living in urban areas; use Bolt/Grab or any other form of taxi; cheaper and zero headaches. No parking, no maintenance, no fuel/tires/service/insurance, no bureaucratic headaches like driving license and you're safe until they will ask the farang for a license to sit in a taxi. You're welcome! -
I went to talk to the international department; the short wrap-up is: - nothing changed - four withdrawals/transfers of not more than 50,000 Baht/transaction are possible - if you need to move more than 200,000 Baht within 24 hours, contact the bank 02-777,77,77 and take it from the horse's mouth; they will open a higher transfer limited for an agreed time slot during which the client can move/withdraw whatever (s)he needs. - all this is not affected if personally present at a bank counter with necessary documentation like passbook, identification papers (passport) SCB is, like all the other banks, a dinosaur club with medieval procedures - live with it or move elsewhere ...

Report Supreme Court to Review Thaksin's Hospital Transfer Drama
Sydebolle replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Well, Thaksin fell, then he threw his sister under the bus followed by his daughter, also ending under the bus. Maybe a oneway flight anywhere outside Thailand might bring some changes and, if you are at it, pack all the rest of those crooks as well; a fleet of 50 - 60 A380 aircraft might do the trick - without baggage of course! -

Crime 5-Year Overstay Uncovered as 25 Chinese Arrested in Pattaya Loan Bust
Sydebolle replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
Given the avalanche of bureaucratic forms, reports and photocopies - all signed with blue ink - it should really not be a problem to run a list of all non-Thais who are, according to the database with the immigration, illegally here. A visitor gets a stay permit for X, Y or Z days, i.e. admittance until a date. The day AFTER that date the visitor is in overstay. Given a grace period of a week or ten days one still could go and look, where they are. The given address might reveal some details (or is fake as well) and one still could nevertheless nail down a tidy number of overstayers. Just saying - no need to hunt -
Cambodia Threatens Thai Food Ban Amid Escalating Border Row

What a load of hog manure. The kindergarten is far more East towards the Lao border along the Thai-Khmer border. The entire exercise is to ooze power on the back of those workers who will not be paid for not coming to work and hence get financially stranded. This whole smokescreen in front of the mammoth fight between PT and BJT, specifically Thaksin and Anutin, is getting more and more ridiculous and is excellent soil for planting the next military coup. Welcome to Thai interpretation of government, its diplomatic incapacity marred by face losing vs face saving individuals and their inferiority complex - shame on all of you!

Government has no bigger fish to fry? Ah, me stupid, most cabbies are sheer analphabets from Isan and pristine voter material. Why do people chose Bolt, Uber and whatever-else-there-is? The details of the driver are known to the passenger (phone, car registration and name of driver) which ensures, that unlike the two-coloured cabbie with some licenses on his dashboard showing anybody but the driver, the passenger has a safer feeling. The Bolt driver on the other hand gets a pre-announced fare and the details of the passenger can be retrieved as well. Given the present ranigazoo I would assume, that the distinguished government might have other stuff on their plate and keep their noses and fingers out of this jar as well .........
