Question about TM30 and retirement visa
ubonjoe replied to MrNatural's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You wife could do the TM30 report as the possessor of your residence. A copy of the rental agreement with her name on it and a copy of her ID card signed by her attached to it. -
I have sent them for servals years now and all of them were tracked but this year. I don't think USPS would of accepted my inquiry about it in August it they were no longer tracking them. I have posted the tracking for the one I did in 2019 that showed every USPS office it went through.

Not aware of what the Loei office accepts. I would say about all offices accept the 65k baht transfers option now. Same for the combination options. For the first year (2019) the transfer option there were many offices that not accept the transfers or the combination option. There is a lot of old info going around about it now.

Mine was not updated after it was sent from the Jamaica NY facility. I am hoping that for some reason it ended up in standard delivery and was not tracked after Jamaica NY and it got to Wilkes Barre. Now waiting for a update on my missing mail request or getting the 2nd notice in the mail here.

Many people are using the 12 months of at least 65k baht transferred into a Thai bank from abroad. A average income of 65k baht will not be accepted and it has to be 12 months of transfers.

I have seen nothing about the order being extended yet. I doubt they will change the insurance requirements.

Questions re OA visa application from UK
ubonjoe replied to Seagull Sam's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I found the medical certificate on another embassy website (same form used at all of them) http://thaiembdc.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/Medical-Certificate-Form-For-Non-Immigrant-O-A-Long-Stay-Only.pdf I think the download for it is also on the e visa site when you do the application. 1. Foreign insurance form. https://longstay.tgia.org/document/foreign_insurance_certificate.pdf 2. There is no coverage amount for the covid insurance. It just to has be included in the policy. "Additionally" 1. A copy of your UK passport photo page to prove you are a UK citizen. 2. Same as number one. You need proof of being fully vaccinated to board your flight and enter Thailand. Show the certificate you have. You do not need to send your passport to the embassy. You will get a e visa by email when your application is approved. It has been about the same for almost a year now. Many people have used one when entering the country. -
It is not possible to apply for a non-o visa at immigration by showing transfer into the country. The will only accept a letter from a embassy to do it. See: https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/7.CHILDREN-OF-THAI-NATIONALITY-NON-O.pdf For the extension of stay based upon marriage the written rule state 2 months of transfers can be used to apply for it but very few if any office will accept it,

Non O Savannakhet
ubonjoe replied to sjbrownderby's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You have to leave without re-entry permit or leave and not re-enter until the re-entry permit expires. You can enter visa exempt and then apply for a non-o visa and apply for the one year extension of stay based upon retirement. You can also get a non-o visa at a nearby embassy or consulate and the apply for the extension. -
You can only do one per entry to the country. Not sure but getting a new 90 day entry from the non-o visa might be considered to be the same as leaving the country. You will be on a under 30 day under consideration period after your application is accepted and you can stay in the country until it is approved. If not approved yet when the 30 days end you can still stay until it is approved.
-
If your extension is not approved on the 16th you ask them to cancel your extension and apply for 60 day extension to visit your wife if you you have not gotten one since your last entry with a visa. If they did 60 day the extension it would start from the day your current extension ended and you would need a re-entry permit to enter the country.

Thai marriage visa ?
ubonjoe replied to BostonJoe's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The first step will be to do a affidavit to self certify you marriage certificate at the US embassy. Then it and your marriage certificate will need to be translated to Thai and certified by the Department of Consular Affairs of the MFA in Bangkok. After the above you would then register your foreign marriage at a Amphoe to get a Kor Ror 22 marriage registry that immigration will require. -
Any chance for extension/change of visa
ubonjoe replied to sandysp's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It depends upon the reason for the non-o visa. For example those wanting a non-o visa for being a family member of a person on a extension based upon retirement they cannot apply for one at immigration. Look at the list here. https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=2537 -
