  1. You will a get single entry tourist visa that will allow a 60 day stay in the country that can be extended for 30 days at a immigration office. You can apply for it at the embassy in Vientiane or the consulate in Savannakhet.
  2. You should check with your local immigration office to confirm they will accept the combination option. If not sure about what they will accept it it would be best to meet the normal requirements by having 800k baht in the bank for 2 months Too use the combination option you would need to have 400k baht (first extension only and then 200k baht for the next one)t in the bank and proof of transfers of at least 50k baht for 12 months. You do not need to keep the 50k baht transfers in the bank.
  3. Her friends are correct. The consulate will not transfer the visa from her old passport to the new one. She will use both passports when checking in for the flight to the US and when entering the US.
  4. If you used the 800k baht in the bank option for your current extension you will still need to show proof you kept the 800k baht for the 3 months after the day you applied and then 400k baht to the day you apply for a new one using the 65k baht transfer option.
  5. You do not have to be ordained to apply for the visa. It will be issued for studying Buddhism. You can get a visa exempt entry by leaving and re-entering the country at a border crossing. They are limited to 2 per calendar year. On or after October 1st it will be for 45 days instead of 30 days.
  6. As I wrote before I don't think any company is using buses now. I don't think you should criticize a company for the passengers in the van they provide.
  7. This is a good company that goes from Bangkok to Ban Laem. https://www.thaivisaservice.com/
  8. You could apply for a non-r visa at immigration with supporting documents from a temple. https://www.immigration.go.th/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/12.PERFORMING-RELIGIOUS-ACTIVITIES-IN-THAILAND-NON-R.pdf The nearby embassies and official consulate will also issue a non-r visa. Near the end of the 90 days the non-r visa allows you can apply for a one year extension of stay at immigration. Click number 13 her for info. https://www.immigration.go.th/en/?page_id=1890
  9. No I think most people use a standard savings account. The 800K has to be in the bank for 2 months on the day you apply and then for 3 months after that. Then after the 3 months you can lower it to 400k baht until you top up the account to 800 baht.
  10. Yes You will need it if you want to apply for a 30 days extension.
  11. It is two months from the day the money was deposited. That would be the 31st of September if there were 31 days in the month. I would do it no earlier than October 3rd.
  12. I don't think there is any airline that has direct flights to Vientiane. Savannakhet is even more difficult to travel to by air. Since you will be applying for tourist visa this time you will not have a problem entering the country by land. If you apply for the visa at the embassy in Vientiane you will have to make an appointment. See: https://thaivisavientiane.com/# No appointment is needed at the consulate in Savannakhet.
  13. I aware of what is needed. Just did mine in June. I paid for it online without a problem. You cannot pick up your passport in person.
  14. Immigration on arrival very seldom ask to see a return or onward ticket.
  15. It and all other crossing to Myanmar are closed for border hops. People are using the crossing to Laos at this time.
  16. I don't think any company is using buses now. You could do it yourself and take a bus from Bangkok to the border (Aranyaprathet for example).
  17. Only the airline for your trip to here will ask for the onward ticket. Immigration will not ask to see the onward ticket you arrive here. The rules that the airlines see only mentions the 30 day visa exempt entries. They do not include the 30 day extension you can get since they were not updated when the immigration order for them was issued.
  18. When you apply for the temporary onward ticket you can request one to anywhere. It does not have to be a return ticket. Best to get the temporary ticket out ot the country within 30 days incase the airline is not aware of the new 45 day entries.
  19. As I wrote you can buy a temporary one way ticket for a flight out of the country within 30 days.No need for a ticket outof the country when doing a border run. You will not have a problem doing the border runs.
  20. That will only be needed for the airline when traveling to here. You can use a temporary onward ticket (search for onward ticket) for about $14 to meet the requirement. When doing the 2 border runs it will not be needed.
  21. You only need to extend the visa exempt entries 2 times to get a total stay of 6 months. I just wrote what you can do according to the rules and it will work.
  22. He can do it online after registering to do it. Site for it is here: https://extranet.immigration.go.th/fn24online/
