  1. I'm checking Bkk to LHR next month, return

    Air India 629UKP

    Srilankan Airlines 563UKP

Looking at Mox Travel (probably same prices as you)

Sri Lankan 26,700 Baht is very good and total time 15 hours both ways.

Air India 31,400 Baht, 16 hours going and 1 day, 10 hours coming back!

Yeh, like who in their right mind is gonna put up with a 24hr+ connection.

yes you are correct, that's the problem unfortunately with Outbound Bangkok! But still a fair price I think, good luck

  2. Sounds like your info is more up to date than mine, I was really impressed when they didn't charge me to change however I also thought it was too good to last =]

It's easy to misconstrue or misinterpret comments on here, but you're right there is a tendency for people to pounce on to threads.

Anyways I've just been searching for flights from Bangkok to London over the christmas holidays and they are going for about £550 with Sri Lankan and Air India, whereas it's almost impossible to anything for less than £1000 for the same dates flying the other way (LON-BKK)

Yes you are right, I think some friends just look at headline prices and not the actual booking price?

Well anyway that's it, tried my best, showed where to get flight, took it and I paid £410 return for January, I New Boeing 777 and newish Airbus A321, new Airport, good take off and landing times, cheap to change flight if required, 35 Kgs luggage,45 minutes early landing at Bangkok, I cant say more than that!

Good luck, especially the sceptics! (English spelling!)

  3. Lol I bow down to your superior google knowledge! =D

It's worth checking with them re: changing dates and baggage because when I last booked a flight they all seemed to offer the same and it can cost well over £100 with other airlines to change your dates!!

Thanks for your comment, its just that so many people just knock help or comments, that I feel I have to answer sometimes.. Air India £45 flight change and most Jet Airways are £30 (depending on ticket and flight restrictions) and yes you are right Qatar for example is £145 return part flight change charge

Sometimes I wish I never put up a comment when certain people just like to put anything down. Still that how some are I guess!

The idea is to be helpful, I think?

  4. I think they are all owned by air India, I've actually found jet airways to be the best flights

    Er I don't think so....

Jet Airways is owned by Naresh Goyal – who already owns Jetair (Private) Limited, which provided sales and marketing for foreign airlines in India – set up Jet Airways as a independent full-service scheduled airline to compete against state-owned Air India.

Indian Billionaire Vijay Mallya (owner of Kingfisher Airlines Ltd) is in talks to sell a 49% stake to a foreign carrier after the Indian Government permitted such an investment for the first time in September 2012 to open up the economy.

Air India is the flag carrier airline of India. It is owner by the government of India (AIL)

  5. Mumbai sucks BUT Delhi was really good, relatively. I would always fly through Delhi. I have used Air India a few times and they are fine. No problems. The only airline that gave me 2 beers at my seat because they didn't want the hassle of coming back and serving me more.

Sri Lankan Airways look the cheapest. I remember a few years ago one-way Bkk-Ldn was circa 13,000 baht. I am not sure if they still put people up in a hotel though. Anyone used them recently?

Just checked SRI LANKAN....London - Bangkok Out Oct- Return Feb £671 lowest price

  6. Its some years since I passed through Mumbai airport but I used to use it quite frequently.

There is a bar in departures...with stools...admittedly its expensive...they serve snacks and hot meals.

Let's recap...find bar, sit on stool, order beer and food. Repeat until time to board the plane.

Its a decent airport.....try flying through Kuwait or Trinidad....

Mumbai and Calcutta are nearly finished building new International Terminals, while Delhi is only two years old.

    Please see previous comments.

  7. Unless anyone here is actually a vet rather than googling possible cures.. Take it to a vet... Pretty simple really?!

You have plenty to say, why dont you try picking up a stray beach dog who might be in pain without being bitten?

I googled the cure to ensure and illustrate what a VET told me was correct, so go away with your useless comments!!

  8. Well I'm back in Pattaya having flown again Air India return at £410.

First of all, please no snide remarks.

I have to fly to UK nearly every month, so price and timings are important.

Heathrow check in..great, no long queue, was offered and accepted Exit seats with lots of leg space. (newish Boeing 777) Food was so, so

Arrived at Delhi airport..very nice, looks brand new, not too busy, MacDonalds, Domino Pizza and better options available.

Lots of high quality Shops plus general shops, WH Smiths, M&S, Boots etc, Free WiFi...3 hotels including 1 hour or longer stay at $7 dollars per hour

    Stop- over 2.5 hours

Delhi - Bangkok (newish Airbus A321) very nice, plenty of space, food okay...arrived 45 minutes early.

So there you are, not bad for £410 return compared to Etihad at £676 and others from £560 upwards (ie Jet, Oman etc)

Identical write up to what i would have posted...........

For £200 plus saving I'll sit on them all day to be honest.....

Thank you for an honest reply!

  9. i called her back

and was very clear to her about neomycin

twice a day for about 1 week

    f***

Yes you can use Neomycin, best as a powder (rather than drops which will work, but are not as efficient in persistent infection) in the food, 7 days.

Neomycin drops can be purchased at any Pattaya Pharmacy.

Dog and Cat Neomycin Polymyxin Antibiotics

Neomycin Polymyxin Dexamethasone is a combination of two broad-spectrum antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory corticosteroid for dogs and cats. Neomycin Polymyxin B is used to treat external eye infections caused by susceptible bacteria. It also helps treat corneal injuries caused by thermal or chemical burns, anterior uveitis, and injury from the penetration of foreign bodies. Available as an ophthalmic ointment or liquid suspension.

Antibiotics used in Canine Eye Drops:

Multi-generic antibiotic groups are being used in available canine antibiotic eye drops. These are either administered individually or in combination with other antibiotics, according to the status and nature of the infection. Neomycin, Erythromycin, Bacitracin, Polymyxin, Tetracycline and Tobramycin are considered the most common and effective antibiotics widely used in treating canine eye infections. The combination of Neomycin, Bacitracin and Polymyxin (cool.png is commonly used for complicated and diffused cases of eye problems and is termed as a “Triple Antibiotic Preparation”.

Canine antibiotic eye drops are usually safe to use, but require proper dosage and administration instructions. Any of the aforementioned antibiotic drops usually heals a dog eye condition in 3 – 5 days. Canine eye conditions usually improve in 36 – 48 hours, but if unusual symptoms are noticed or the condition becomes worse, a veterinarian should be consulted immediately.

Neomycin Drops are to be applied to both eyes if required 2-to-3 times daily for up to 5 days

  11. Etihad in 2 weeks £535. Quite good, booked it. Was £525 yesterday!

In fact I have just looked for February booking next year and its £735 with Etihad, it seems they are pricing themselves out of the market unless you want sometimes a last minute booking maybe?

  12. Etihad in 2 weeks £535. Quite good, booked it. Was £525 yesterday!

I agree and use Etihad, but try and get a return for January!! Then you get £676 and seeing as I travel a lot sometimes that adds up, compared to £410 Air India with good flight times, short stopovers etc!

  13. cadex one drop each eye everyday for four days

    cleared it up

but eye problems coming back a couple of weeks after

i think i need to follow a diff application technique

twice a day for 3-5 days???

    two drops each eye???

or take this to the next level and get a vet

i welcome input from those who have experience with this

    thanks for the cadex idea!

Spoke to Vet and he said carry on with CADEX but give half a tablet of Penicillin from Pharmacy for 7 days (about 50 baht for basic packet of penicillin)

  14. If I had to fly an airline like that, I would consider that I couldn't afford a holiday.. rough airline. Even rougher airport stopover.

Also somewhat out of order to make quips over not being able to afford a holiday when the OP is out for 4-5 months.........!

I said clearly "If I had to fly an airline like that, I would consider that I couldn't afford a holiday". what he budgets for is up to him, but I wouldn't do it.

I know what you wrote and I know what I'm implying...........

RUBBISH !! YOU DONT KNOW ME So P..S off!

  16. I have flown with them several times this year, the planes are modern clean modern Airbuses with about a 2 hour stopover each way. (Indian Airports are terrible)

The food is not very nice unless you like Indian Curry! But lets face it, a plane is a plane.

As to comments about Emirates etc well they are nowadays a lot more, just checked and they stand at £572 and Etihad at £646 for example (travelsupermarket.com)

    Just trying to assist biggrin.png

Its good considering I booked for a friend BKK-LDN and it was 29,000 which is 600 quid.

It's almost always more expesive to book a flight this end (Thailand) for BKK to UK compared with booking UK to BKK. As for Air India, no disrespect intended, but personally I'd rather walk!

OP, please let us know what you think of the Air India flight and Mumbai airport once the trip is over....

Please continue to Post up Prices like this..........

    Appreciated certainly by me.

    Thank you!!
