  1. Pattaya Mail were printing in many peoples opinion, abusive, incorrect information and foul language letters,...these letters should never have been printed in the first place and had they bothered vetting letters, then we could have had a useful section in Pattaya Mail. Perhaps if enough people complain about the loss of letters or stop buying the Pattaya Mail...then we might see it return ?

Good luck! (and to the Paataya Mail, a good weekly)

  2. We go Deep sea fishing every Friday at 8.30am Bali Hi Pier returning 5pm, we are looking for 2-3 new guys to come along on a regular basis.

    Contact via Forum.

  3. Look Tonys does a great job.... of course pretty low standard, but you dont see Pattaya authorities doing anything?? Tonys looks after upwards of 1300 dogs, so of course the dogs have a hard time there, and unfortunately many have to be put down, but lets face it, if you took a bad street dog to a UK dog sanctuary it would be put down straight away. Better would be to support Tonys by way of food, pet medicine contributions.

Remember, this is a free sanctuary

Merry Xmas, Happy New Year :o

  4. Well I understand all the issues, but want to point out that Carrefours will replace Dud bulbs as i have done several times, in fact they are very good at the replacement of any item found faulty.

    good luck!

    :o

  5. Why would you want to see abused, drugged animals being taken around Bars, its well known that most Thais have absolutely no respect for animals.

See report seversal days ago in Bangkok Post as below for example:

A chronic lack of experience among zoo keepers had led to the deaths of almost 300 animals at the Chiang Mai Night Safari in just two years, zoo director Preecha Ratanaporn said yesterday. Poor diet and inadequate care from the zoo's veterinarians had caused the demise of many animals, including zebra and giraffe, he said.

The zoo is home to about 1,700 animals but the complex employs just six veterinarians.

Chiang Mai Night Safari, initiated by the Thaksin administration, opened on Feb 6, 2006. It is located in Muang district's tambon Suthep and Hang Dong district's tambon Nong Khwai.

The zoo director's statement came after members of the web board for nature and animals at pantip.com discussed the matter. They said the cost of the dead animals could be as high as 26 million baht.

''We don't think this is a big issue,'' Mr Preecha said

I will say thaT NOT ALL THAIS ARE SO BAD.

    ENOUGH SAID!! :o

  6. Go to Kevin Harper (British Lawyer) at British Law Company, 395/3 3rd Road, he charges (as a favour) 350 baht. (best in Town)

    Tel 038 375036

(Unfortunately as already mentioned Barry Kenyon now charges Consular rates at I believe over a 1000 baht) (nothings free nowadays)

    Best

    Paul Davies :o

  7. What rubbish!!! Bleach type drop in disks have been sold in Europe/UK and the USA for years and I have yet to hear of rubber seals rotting away. I have used these products for many years without any problems with septic tanks etc. If this was true then there would have been multiple claims against the manufacturers and the product removed from sale. Yet more peoples opinions rather than fact!

  8. About half way up Theprasit rd on the north side of the road there is a shop selling lifejackets

    Thanks... :D

    It's called The Rigging Shop.

Well, my friends, I went to the Rigging Shop but they only sell the polystyrene type, I am after a 'real' lifejacket, ie type that have a gas bottle to inflate, any more ideas please ??? :o

  9. I thought a thumbs up for Kevin Harper is deserved...He has a business on 3rd road 9perating as a British Lawyer, he is very helpful.

In addition he will certify simple documents for 350 baht, ( Bank statements etc), I belive this is a good price.

His address is 395/3 Pattaya 3rd Road, Tel 087 0094171.

(I am not connected to his business, simply saying thank you.) :o
