  1. Yes , thats the common way but when you want to cut in along the edge where it meets the roof a roller can't quite get in there. We have a bungalow so a lot easier to access all points with roller and brush.
  2. Normally I would agree. If you want a job done properly , do it yourself....especially in Thailand. However, if I were doing a two storey house i would not want to work from a ladder. A scaffold would make things a lot easier and be a lot safer. Plenty of room to put your paint and brushes down on. Then again , when its hot outside , the heat can be hard to deal with over several hours so might be easier to get a local to do it. Just make sure you don't employ a cowboy with a bamboo ladder and no dust sheets.
  3. Gawd help us. What twit came up with that name.
  4. Rice prices skyrocket Is this the start of Thailands space programe it has been talking about ?
  5. Pretty grim. Considering China is a major polluter they might hopefully take this as a wake up call.
  6. The price quoted in the link will probably shift upwards by the time it hits Thai showrooms.
  7. About time Triumph had a mid range bike again but a bit pricey at 108,225 baht. Nice looking machine though if you prefer the retro look : https://motowheeler.com/th/bikes/triumph-triumph-speed-400-13617
  8. Yup but the bar is so low I'd have to lose a few pounds to scrape under it.
  9. Yes, Lou. Once again you are probably right . As usual. I am indeed probably the only one who enjoys your criticism and likes you because I know deep deep ( very deep ) down you are a wonderful person. I nearly said guy then but you could well be a woman since the song Liverpool Lou was about a woman of the same name. It's on youtube by the Scaffold and other artists. Not a very inspiring song though. Roxanne would have been a much better moniker and much better song. Oh....I think i'm turning Gamma Globin ???
  10. Pity MF can't turn back the clock and re run the speaker argument , offering PT the PM slot on condition Pita got the speaker job. Now MF are going to end up with nothing
  11. Hi Lou. Great to see you again and really enjoy your valuable insights. Yea..you're right. Nobody really knows the facts until the police investigate further. Sometimes I just wish you got the recognition you deserve for constantly making us all think again and consider the facts , sparse as they may be. You are a real trooper on this forum, selflessly giving your valuable time to set the rest of us straight. I am always humbled by your humanity and willingness to correct us. I feel I speak for all the forum members in humbly thanking you for your valuable criticism of all of us in our errors. How we wish we were as astute and intelligent as you. God bless you.
  12. Sounds like the bike , whilst doing the U turn pulled out in front of the car. Hence the front end damage. Doesn't sound like the car drivers fault so why take responsibilty ???
  13. Vlogging a dead horse
  14. Somebodys Lazada or shopee order isn't going to get delivered this week.
  15. Pheu Thai set to follow the path trod by the Democrats and slip into the shadows at the next election, whenever that may be. The powers that be are now going to find a way to completely hamstring Move Foreward and get them banned. The timing will probably be to collate as many trivial cases as they can against MF then just before the next election launch several at once to put MF on the rocks with no time to jump ship and avoid the wreck.
  16. Effectively kicking down the road again allowing more time for behind the scene bargaining so as to fit the old square pegs into round holes again.
  17. Tax evasion over a land deal ? Oh come on, they all do that. But....apparently nothing wrong with evading taxes when selling land. Prayuth said so when he sold 600 million baht of his land to a private company based in the British virgin Islands , set up only a week before the transaction and no other business on the books. https://www.khaosodenglish.com/politics/2014/11/04/1415098178/ When grilled by reporters he answered : When a reporter asked Gen. Prayuth about the land sale today, the Prime Minister shot back that the media has no business questioning him on the matter. "The land has belonged to me since I was a kid, it belonged to my father. So what's the problem?" Gen. Prayuth said. "Please stop criticising me already." "I don't know. I don't remember," Gen. Prayuth said on 1 November. "I am not a businessman. Please don't ask me about this."
  18. Plus the full police report which will probably not make the news.
  19. Maybe the other cop at the beginning got a call to stop or his skills were not up to it and he dropped out of the chase. Like the way the cop laughed at the end.
  20. Seen quite a few but this was outstanding. Great skills from both the persued and the cop. Nice little flying ass to watch too.
  21. Well, she was still fragile after the long flight and she really struggled with the heat, The hotel in Soi Diana was not up to her usual 4-5 star standards and she found the whole place a bit in your face. Old men with young girls shocked her. Then every now and then a girl I had been with would throw themselves at me which she also found surprising. Finaly after a hot day and a cold beer she got heat stroke and was laid up ill for the last few days there. 3 days before her flight I moved her to Bangkok and checked her into the Dusit Thani hotel which sorted her out befor her flight. That was about the only place that made a good impression on her. This was all 40 years ago so things were more primitive back then. Her second trip went better as by then I was married , had a house in Bangkok and a car so she had a nice room and was chauffer driven everywhere.
  22. So you only have another 6 months to wait then. I bet you are excited
  23. Yup. You would think the defamation law would probably cover this. However, Jeng has done this several times before with other women and so far the police have taken no action against him.
