Celebrity son of Thailand’s ‘Mr Clean’ engulfed in crypto scandal
Denim replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Mr Clean ?? I don't think so. Defending a corrupt brother is hardly clean RALUEK LEEKPAI SCANDAL In 1987, when Chuan was parliamentary speaker, his younger brother, Raluek Leekpai (ระลึก หลีกภัย), was charged with embezzling 231.8 million baht (US$9 million) from Thai Farmers Bank (TFB). Raluek had been an executive at TFB. Responding to accusations in parliament, Chuan publicly defended the innocence of his brother. Raluek fled the country, and only returned to Thailand in 2004 after the statute of limitations expired on his crime and he could not be prosecuted. He had been on the run as a fugitive in Taiwan. Raluek has said he might enter politics in order to restore his reputation, although he said he wanted to live a quiet life in his Trang hometown. https://peoplepill.com/people/chuan-leekpai -

Airconditioners best deal and best quality
Denim replied to Seeall's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
When calculating room size people multiply the length of the room by the breadth . This gives square meters. But in reality what should really be calculated is cubic meters. If a room is completely empty , surely a unit will have to work a bit harder than one in a room the same size but with a lot of furniture taking up the cubic meter space. -

Crowds at Immigration today
Denim replied to Denim's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
This office has only been open about a year. Almost brand new. Great big detached building but luckily not many people staffing or using it. Maybe they were expecting a lot of Chinese ? Who knows. The old place was a pokey little office in another location. -
Crowds at Immigration today
Denim replied to Denim's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
One of the benefits of the boonies. -
Here's a first for me. Petchabun immigration today at 11.20 am for 90 day report ( in town shopping so no inconvenience. ) People in front of me ....none. People behind me ....none . Cars in car park..... none. Visible staff on entering ...none. Cleaning lady saw my puzzled look and pointed to the far corner 90 day reporting desk. Sure enough there was a single bloke on duty. Total time spent in building 4 minutes. The officer also told me that when I return in October from my visit to England I would not need to do a TM30 if at usual address.

Three Pit Bulls abandoned, starved, and turned cannibal in Thailand
Denim replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
What kind of mental retards own 4 pitbulls ? Owners should be traced and face charges then spend some time in a cage on prison food to give them a taste of their own medicine.- 35 replies

I have a 20 year old Vios. Most reliable car I've ever owned and bodywork still good. The aircon packed up a few weeks back. Turned out to be a leaking hose on the compressor. New hose and coolant fixed it but for good measure I had the coil removed and cleaned as they get very dirty and slow air flow.. If the aircon only work intermittently, a loose or bad relay is usually the problem. Easy to check. Plenty of youtube videos on Vios aircon repair.

A lot depends on what kind of books they are. If they are paperback novels they are almost worthless. Non fiction might find a buyer but even then you won't get much. Your best bet would be to find a ' Dalat nat ' rent a pitch and sell them yourself along with anything else you want to get rid of.

I thought you were back in the UK for medical reasons ?

Apparently , the A14 has a screen refresh rate faster than a base iphone ( watch video in post 2) Frankly , even a phone with best possible speakers is not going to be as good as a separate speaker set up. I listen to music on big speakers connected to my desktop. You can either get some decent headphones with bluetooth connection or get a speaker with bluetooth to use with your phone. Sound will surely be better than any stand alone smartphone.

Never happen. Riots ....unrest suppression coup That's how things go here. We have been here before and people always say .....civil war but the fact is that a majority of Thais just can't sustain any meaningful protests , especially in the rural areas which make up the bulk of the population. A general strike would be more effective but too many white collar ( or in this case light brown ) workers are also old school and don't fancy the brave new world the young want. My sympathies are with Move Forward but considering what happened to Thanathorn then it is a fair analysis to say Pita has shot himself in the foot. I don't think he is going to be able to blag his way out of the corner he has painted himself into. A great pity because he and Move Forward are exactly what the country needs right now. We can hope for a miracle but it doesn't look good.

Samsung have something for all budgets and are a well recognized brand. I am currently using an ASUS zenfone 570 max pro and it has performed very well over the past 4 years and still on original battery. Unfortunately ASUS don't do cheap phones now or I would get another. So considering an upgrade to Samsung Galaxy A14 which is around the 5000 baht range.
