  2. Ah sorry mods I did not realise I cant use Thai language here feel free to remove the Thai script again my appologies for replacing it.

I will try another forum .

Thank you Judas for your help. Does not seem obfectionable to me unless its been taken in sexual context.

  3. Dear all I recently intruduced my friend ( a Thai lady ) to a forum which has a protected area for Thai speakers mostly ladies to chat. The purpose was so she could chat to Thai ladies in relationships with foreigners.

    This is what she posted.

I understand the Thai ladies on the forum think that the post is not appropriate and it is currently removed and I am asked to have a word about forum ettiqette.

Could someone translate the post for me please.

What on earth has she said that people are not happy with.

    Thanks Richard

  4. I am looking to hire a coach/large minibus for a day out when I come on hols in late December.

I have done a forum search and have not turned anything up.

Any info on coach/minibus hire would be gratefully recieved.

    Richard

ps if all else fails what do you think it would cost to hire a fleet of bahtbusses for a day per bus . Does the bahtbus collective have a central office. A coach would be best though.

  5. Walsh said he wanted to end the relationship and went to get her passport.

    http://icwales.icnetwork.co.uk/news/south-...91466-19923288/

Mr Walsh betrays his nature not by his foul humour and violence but by his passport antics.

I can almost picture the scene no doubt repeated throughout their marriage of him brandishing her passport threatening to send her " home" . "If you do not do xxx for me I will send you home. " :o

To late buddy that threat did not work when she had her permenant stay ( though I note she stoll cleans up his thrown dinner.

So he learned that a Thai woman is not like a toaster to be returned for a full cash refund under guarantee if you are unsatisfied in any way.

I hope the lady enjoys the rest of her life without having to deal with food throwing bullying <deleted>.

    Thai 1 Taff 0 :D

  6. Actually for such a mixed group and for a social occassion I would go for one of the "resort Hotels".

For example http://www.eastsearesort.net/. There are a few of them just north of dolphin roundabout. Several pools and a mixtrure of bungalows , rooms of different sizes in each " resort". Get a few bungalows together by a pool. All are only a few hundred yards from Dolphin roundabout and the main baht bus route.

    Good luck

  7. Stop their mothers feeding them breast milk!

Thing is in truth though there are a lot of violent nutters out there with empty brains. Why do we rarley hear what happens (re. sentencing) after they have commited serious violent crimes. Of course we know the law is sympathetic if they kill or maim a ferang.

  8. Everyone must appreciate the fact that a change of government only changes the people carrying out the corruption.

Many of the officials serving under Mr sinatra obviously had their fingers in the pie so they cant accuse anyone as they will in turn be fingered.

A Thai once said to me that corruption in Thailand starts with the person collecting 5 baht for the use of the lavatory - they went on to explain: they collect your money yet dont clean or service the place.

When it comes to corruption in thailand the thasi are as complicated as their humour - slapstick!

  9. If so another nail in the coffin. Arrived in Pattaya last week - quietest i have seen it here for many years.

Done a survey of taxis, buisness owners, girls and ferangs - English , German, Beligian, Norwegians etc. everyone seems to agree that the place is dying. Even Thais are saying that Pattaya is very dangerous for ferangs now. A lot of established small buisness gone to wall or heamoraging money at the moment. Seems like those visa run residents did contribute to the economy after all.

High crime, visa changes, new foreign buisiness act. property marked gone - if Thaksin was still in POWER we would also have 12 pm closing of bars and no afternoon sale of alchohol - all these changes are obviuosly anti ferang but only the lunatics running the show know why.

Oh, also another ferang robbed and murdered (shot 4 times) in east pattaya. In Thai papers - not in ferang papers yet - as far as i know!

  10. My wife recently applied for an extension to her settlement visa using the flr(m) forms. We sent the forms within the 28 days of her visa expiring. On advice from friends and after phoning the home office for conformation we used the date she entered england, not the date the visa was issued as the date of renewal. Her visa was issued on 20/5/05 but she got here on 25/6/05, so we were told to renew before 25/6/07 which we did. We sent the forms on 28/5/07 and we got a letter confirming they had received them on the 29/06/07. We hoped for a speedy claim. Today however we have received a letter saying in view of the fact you entered the UK on 25/06/05 with entry clearance visa valid 20/05/05 to 20/05/07, The secretary of state is not satisfied you have limited leave to remain in the Uk. You made an application on 29/05/07. However, your leave to remain expired on 20/05/07. You therefore did not have leave to remain at the end of your application. Friends of ours when applying used the date of issue as the date of renewal, but were told they had applied early and should of used the date of entry. This meant they had to pay twice. I thought we had learned from their mistake!

Also my wifes passport was not returned, so how can she leave? And the letter was sent using my wifes maiden name, even though she came here on a spouses visa as we married a year before she came here, and its clearly stamped in the passport with change of name. All this suggests we are dealing with idiots that haven't got a clue what their doing.

Its safe to say my wife is in deep distress of this and we have a two year old daughter who's just started school to think about. Any help and advice would be much appreciated.

This garbled interpretation of the rules has been commented on very recently by the President of the AIT . In short he said that the interpretation was moronic and of course the leave to enter is granted on entry not from the date of the visa which is simply prior authority to enter in a particular capacity.

A reputable Solicitor will sort this out very quickly. If you need a list of firms I would recommend in your area pm me.

Your case not being legally complex and coming about via an interpretation of the rules which has been found to be idiotic this is a perfect case for your mp to intervene in. MPs actually relish this kind of case it is simple and the issues are in black and white.
