  1. In the last 12 months I have spent a lot of time in various beaches all the way from Cha-Am to Pranburi. Pretty much all of the coast between these two areas so I do have a fair amount of experience. I would suggest against swimming in the sea without a wetsuit, unless you stay close to the shore. Jellyfish galore in this region sadly. Between July to recently they were everywhere. Not even sure about the jellyfish larvae you are talking about, or really how to treat them, but they are not your biggest issue.

What is more hypocritical.. Seems you are with your Anti-foreigner critique. A housing owner can choose not to want foreigners simply because of the hassles of dealing with immigration. Most foreigners seeking a rental condo or apartment are decent people. I have seen many stories about Thais trashing apartments and leaving with the owners complaints they lost money just trying to clean the room to rent again.

My life experience has totally gave me a very good insight into the typical behaviour of various groups, of which I am not shy about disclosing if anyone wishes to know more, but closer to the subject I am not down with Modern Liberalism. People should deal with who they want to deal with, like who they want to like, call a spade a spade. It's more than just Thailand specifically to me.

  3. Interesting that this very minor incident was reported on over the 19 Chinese nationals (also in the Chonburi area) on the same day who were arrested for running an illegal loan shark agency and gambling syndicate, The Bangkok Post seems to know which one was more warranted of an article. One being a very minor incident that shouldn't even make it to regional news, the other being fairly serious and should probably make national news.

Well it really started as a continuation of NW European and Scandinavian, mainly Protestant culture - most of the ROTW feel that their cultures had little to no effect on shaping the modern world and are envious of 'white culture' hence all the leftist/Marxist revisionist history to try and show the 'achievements' of these other cultures which just furthers division.

I don't think most people in the rest of the world think like that. Most of the noise comes from Non-Whites in Western countries who due to Liberalism are given more of a voice. Modern Western Liberalism being the ideology that the West has been under for decades which in reality is just promotion of the weak, and why (by design) the West is in decline. Afro Saxons make the most noise in this regard, and true to Liberalism, they are the ones who should make the least noise. It is what it is. Try to use them as comic relief, or just ignore them.

"...Social Media "came loose?"  WTF does that mean?    On your other assertion, I hear Bangkok's seeing an increase in 'trash" from Sub-Saharan Africa.   But probably just dark unfounded rumors.

It's ok these non-White Westerners last about as long as Western women in SEA. When they get the sand out their vaginas about Mr WhiteMan, and finally come to the realization that the Thai locals will never pander to their nonsense as much as Whitey has been fooled into, and most of the existing Westerners are not the soylent slop/starbucks brigade then they usually move on. The ones who stay generally have good energy and don't have a chip in their shoulder.

It's more American culture that has become dominant, American clothes, American inventions, American food, the rest of the West not so much.

And again, the reason that is the case is very much linked with military, political and economic reasons that led to this being the case, it was not the result of a "superior" culture forcing itself to the fore. Rather it was an accident of fate, the fantastic size of the USA, its resources, and immigration, then the events leading to WWII, these are the real reasons Western culture is so widespread.

Not a cultural superiority inherent in the culture itself.

You do understand the US is based off Western Europe and pretty much an extension/rip off? I know you guys over there, especially the Non-Whites are mostly hilariously lost, but nearly everything from your language, the way your cities were structured, the names of your damn cities, your fashion, most of the tech, the industrial revolution (which kicked off the US).. I could go on.. all came from Western Europe. It's all online though. I never hear an American say any this nonsense in the reality of daylight and fresh air. I do often detect an underlying seething disposition but oh well, that's too bad.

How little you know, Bagdad was the metropol of invention and science 1200 years ago, and Persia is the crypt of the first civilization 4000 years ago roughly

    So,

I'm sure you was around at that time to.confirm all of that. Sadly at best history is laced with a lot of fabrications, and at worst mostly a work of fiction.

  8. Not a fan of the Americas as I see it as a crappy copy cat version of Europe, but I can't deny how impressive the US was in the 20th century. Just by making this comment it is a product of mostly US innovation (but not entirely due to telecommunications and electric grid coming from Europe.

What is White culture? I guess it's mostly a product of what the European migrants who built the US and set up the system took with them to the US. It's the other races in the US that must be more confused. Which is probably why non-White Americans and me never see eye to eye as I will never pander to the Liberalism ideology that the cope with. I am just honest. They are heavily deracinated and lost.

KFC Thailand presumably adjusted the style to suit their Thai customers, not expat Americans, and it seems to have worked!

It's just cheap. 160 baby for a box full of food and refills, where as the other typical western fast joints in Thailand that will only get you a basic crapburger meal

  10. I'm actually still a little confused why people think going from the West to places like Thailand is a loser move. Make the best of it because this current currency exchange disparity will not last much longer and at that point for many men the economic leverage will be gone. Much of SEA will not be cheap in a couple of decades. The men who need that leverage will probably have to resign themselves to Sub Saharan Africa which will be the last place to industrialize, if it ever will given the capabilities of the populations there.

Shutting bars down at midnight? The tourism industry across the world might disagree with you on that one

They were closing at midnight in Hua Hin recently because of violence involving locals. The last straw was a local police officer/soldier who shot and killed another police officer/soldier after a night drinking. This is what I mean by a lot of people being very unaware of the kind of things that happen, and Hua Hin is a town that is somewhat well regulated and docile compared to others. Of course though, two Australians having a handbag affair is unacceptable and the worst that happens in Thailand. In Pattaya of all places!

My wife's home is also a 35 Mk inutes drive to the next " town". There is, except from farming not much to do. There's two mon'n Pop shops and a big temple. That' s it. A river and a lake for fishing( what I don't do). Love the people there, many are family. But except during holidays, nobody is there, except old people and kids.

Yes that is a problem in a lot of villages. You will see lots of old people, children, and often a few bums who sit around drinking lao kaow all day. Some places the manners leave a lot to be desired (lip smacking while eating, shouting from a distance rather than approaching someone to have a conversation). If you get into a productive village where there is a lot of activity and the people have good manners and are friendly, then it could be good.
