ok, was on an extension of stay for employment until 1 july, then went to Vietnam, (visa exempt entry to Thailand 3 to 5 Sept). Then back to Thailand on visa exempt on 26 Sep and that extended to 24 Nov.
Hope that helps (personally I think I am not a back to back runner, just need one this time to get sorted).

Deffo a 30 day extension (looks the same as my last extension).
They said the non-B would have been from my visa exempt entry
Cant get a new Non-B as am now unemployed :-)

Just got my passport back from my previous employer and instead of the Non-B that they said they were getting, in fact they just got me a 30 day extension. So I now have 4 days before I have to leave the country -
Question, Do you think I will have any problems hopping over to Cambodia for another Visa exempt entry ? (passport has 2 visa exempt entries, 1 for 3 days and this one for 30 + 30 extension)
Thanks

Best bet is to get a decent paid job in UK and holiday here when you can.

What research have you done regarding visas and prohibited professions ? So you are going to have to pay to live here, pay for family commitments in UK and pay for a return flight every month ! Good luck with that.

"They were strictly enforcing this."
Obviously not that strictly, as they let you cross :-)

Due to them only just having got me the Non-B, am pretty sure they had not even applied for my WP yet

They are now saying that they never employed me, (i did not have a written contract), but i do have piles of emails and messages and also 300 business cards that say they did. They also just paid to increase their liability to employ me and got me a Non-B at immigration.

Morning all,
I had only worked for this company for about 4 weeks when due to the boss having legal problems my job became temporarily redundant. So just out of the blue they said 'stop working' , That was on the 26th of Sept, I was due final salary on 5th Oct , but they are now refusing to pay me, having previously said they would.
Do I have any rights at all ?

No, you will be fine and get a 30 day visa exempt entry

MegaBreak was very good, light and well maintained tables (240 Baht an hour and 95 Baht for a beer).
I can also confirm that you are allowed to smoke inside. :-)

Do you pay a visit, what do you think?
Walked past it last night, but was with some friends. Plan is to get get a sunday lunch and go there this afternoon, it sure does look like a nice place.

Morning all,
New to Jomtien/Pattaya and am looking for a nice bar that I can sink a few beers and a few pool balls on a decent table, I used to love drinking in any of the Hillary bars down Soi 4 in Bangkok, so really that is the kind of bar I am looking for. Any hints and tips would be most appreciated.
As I am currently without a mode of transport, somewhere along beach road or second road would be easiest for me to get to :-)
Thanks

Apparently it will be possible to change to ED without leaving the country. The problem is we don't know when and what is the exact procedure. Very stressful times. Hope it will be clear soon enough. That is from the recent meeting at the Phuket MOE which Walen managers attended. Not sure how about the rest of the country. Laos still works and no problems with obtaining ED visas reported but it's a long way from Phuket or Samui.
How will that work with the new rule of having to leave every year to get a new ED-Visa ? Seems to be in total contradiction to very recently implemented changes ?

The OP could be on a Non-B visa, I know when I came my school sent me the paperwork and I arrived with a 12 month multi-entry Non-B. Though chances are that they are on an extension of stay, better to check and not jump to conclusions ?
If you truly are on a Non-B VISA , then quickly do a border run and get another 90 day entry.

I thought these forums had rules against anything illegal ? Yet here is everyone advising the OP about tourist visas, knowing that he will be working here ie. ILLEGAL
Can an Admin clarify the policy ?

Lotustrbo - can you give me an indication as to prices ? I am looking to get a set up in my new condo (when it is finally finished in about 6 weeks)

Do the mini-vans from Central go there ?

Thank you very much :-)

Walk out to the main Suk road and get the 'stopper' (the 2nd class bus) which stops at all points northwards but i'd say get a cab.....maybe 4-500B to Bang Saen...
Thanks, do you happen to know the number of that bus ? I know taxi would be easier, but not sure my boss will pay for that , lol

Morning all,
I need to get to the Tide Resort, Bang Saen this afternoon. I can't seem to find any info on buses that go there ? Any help appreciated.
Thanks

You should be aware your "B" which was provided through your company is void from your last day and a new one is required. You have seven days to leave country or face an overstay an obtain a new tourist visa or B visa if your new company will provide documents. As for the work permit you will need to apply at your new area. Is your new school through an agency? If so, you'll the same steps as before.
You do not automatically have 7 days to leave the country, you have to apply and pay for that 7 day extension.
