  1. Just got my passport back from my previous employer and instead of the Non-B that they said they were getting, in fact they just got me a 30 day extension. So I now have 4 days before I have to leave the country -

Question, Do you think I will have any problems hopping over to Cambodia for another Visa exempt entry ? (passport has 2 visa exempt entries, 1 for 3 days and this one for 30 + 30 extension)

    Thanks

  2. Morning all,

New to Jomtien/Pattaya and am looking for a nice bar that I can sink a few beers and a few pool balls on a decent table, I used to love drinking in any of the Hillary bars down Soi 4 in Bangkok, so really that is the kind of bar I am looking for. Any hints and tips would be most appreciated.

As I am currently without a mode of transport, somewhere along beach road or second road would be easiest for me to get to :-)

    Thanks

  3. Apparently it will be possible to change to ED without leaving the country. The problem is we don't know when and what is the exact procedure. Very stressful times. Hope it will be clear soon enough. That is from the recent meeting at the Phuket MOE which Walen managers attended. Not sure how about the rest of the country. Laos still works and no problems with obtaining ED visas reported but it's a long way from Phuket or Samui.

How will that work with the new rule of having to leave every year to get a new ED-Visa ? Seems to be in total contradiction to very recently implemented changes ?

  4. Walk out to the main Suk road and get the 'stopper' (the 2nd class bus) which stops at all points northwards but i'd say get a cab.....maybe 4-500B to Bang Saen...

Thanks, do you happen to know the number of that bus ? I know taxi would be easier, but not sure my boss will pay for that , lol

  5. You should be aware your "B" which was provided through your company is void from your last day and a new one is required. You have seven days to leave country or face an overstay an obtain a new tourist visa or B visa if your new company will provide documents. As for the work permit you will need to apply at your new area. Is your new school through an agency? If so, you'll the same steps as before.

You do not automatically have 7 days to leave the country, you have to apply and pay for that 7 day extension.
