  1. With a multi entry visa can leave country every 150 days.

Will require an extension for reason 2.24, cost is 1,900 Bt at each entry. Make last entry at the last allowed time and will have almost 17 months for each issued visa.

You need to leave every 90 days and cannot extend for 60 days to make it 150 days before you leave the country.

Yes, you can. Mods would confute me if that wasn't possible.

I think you will find that you can extend a single entry visa for 60 days, I have never ever heard of anyone extending each entry on a multi-entry visa.

  2. I make about 80,000 baht monthly, and I am doing that for at least the 4 years I am in Thailand permanently.

Since you are working in Thailand you should be able to get a one-year extension of stay for the reason of employment. No need to get married for this.

That is only if he has a company or works for a registered company. If he is employed by a sole proprietor, he will not get an extension of stay. At least they wouldn't extend my B-Visa, because I am employed by a Sole Proprietor and not a company.

If the OP is working (for whatever size company) legally, then he should have a work permit, and also be able to get an extension of stay based on employment ?

  3. I presume that you wish to convert to a Non-B because you have found employment ? If so, your employer can provide the paperwork and your tourist visa can be converted to a Non-B at Chaeng Wattana. (this can even be done with a visa exempt entry).

An Extension of Permission to Stay is not a Visa (which allows you to present to enter Thailand), that's why you need a re-entry permit to keep the extension 'alive' if you need to exit/re-enter Thailand within the valid extension period. You also need a re-entry permit to keep a single entry visa valid if you want to leave the country

  4. For you guys on the prowl for companionship each evening, just think of this as speed dating with a ticking clock. Hey sweetie, you want to be stuck here till 5am or do you want to come home with me and I will show you my etchings.
I have fond memories of some of the early coups. The nighttime rules changed but the games continued. This is number 8 for me but none of that matters because I settled down after 20 years of being single in Bangkok and now live upcountry.

If this is your 8th coup, that means your first was on Sept 21 1957 , yet you were only born in 1954, and did not come to Thailand until you had completed your studies, sorry, but your dates do not match up. But thank you for letting us know that you have lived here soooooooooo long. :-)

  5. Do you ever do any writing fella? Your first post is well articulated and I know a few people who hire writers plus a few sites you can advertise on assuming you've got access to laptop and internet.

The pay isn't great but it keeps you occupied and helps save towards overstay. PM me if of interest.

Wow, you think that the OP's first post is well written, (I won't use articulated as that refers to speech). His grammar and some spelling is appalling, and he does not know the difference between advise and advice, so I think his chances of being a paid writer are pretty slim.

I am British and can find no mention anywhere of a 'fast track' program from the British Embassy, and given how very little our embassy here does, I would be most suprised if such a program did exist.

Told you the bullsxit brigade would come out, there is no fast track and do not take this advise, very bad going to IDC

Why did you quote me ? I essentially said that there was no such program.

  7. I am not going to make excuses as I said before but my tourist visa ran out on Boxing Day 2103, with the holidays etc it was almost a week later before I realised this and for one reason and another ( the main one being my current financial situation) I bumbled on regardless with a view to getting it sorted asap. Once I had got some money together.

How can your current financial situation explain the fact you didn't do a visa run 6 months ago ? I note from your posts that you found enough money on New Years eve to go out drinking and watch football, so obviously not so poor back then.

As background I came here in 2010 with enough money to keep me ticking over for quite a while while doing some work on the Internet to top me up - again without going into details the last 12 months have been a financial nightmare and all I am doing at the minute is struggling by paying rent and eating frugally.

What visas have you had for the last 3 years ? If your financial situation has been a nightmare for 12 months, why are you only now acting on it ?

The whole situation was exacerbated recently when my ex landlord refused to refund my security deposit of 60 thousand baht

So until recently you were staying in a 30k a month apartment ! Hardly the signs of financial hardship - you could have moved to a 10k place and had the money for the overstay fine.

Apologies for not being more sympathetic, but it really would appear that you could have sorted this out easily a while ago.

    Take care
