  1. There have also been a number of "supporters" on this site who began to not bother watching England games because of the way we were playing. To me, support isn't something you switch on and off dependant on how the team plays. It's about sticking with it through thick and thin.

    My thoughts entirely.

As for club and country debate, if i went to a regular amount of games it'd be club, but as im a Sky TV fan im going for both, i was more gutted about England not being in Euro 2008 then what i was about Newcastle doing their usual <deleted> in the league.

  2. The artificially high price of property which is causing rent to go up, hence beer food and everything that goes with running a business in Patts goes up, saying that if property were to half in value overnight i wouldnt have thought any of the forementioned would get cheaper.

  3. The hidden message is that women have not been well served by the education campaigns and it's time to focus more upon women's needs.

The poorest least educated Thai females are very well informed about the use of condoms to minimise the risk of contracting HIV.

Thai females may be ashamed to buy condoms, due to it being seen as not the done thing for a lady to do in Thailand.

The lack of education argument is wrong, its time to move on from it.

  4. I think the booing was not just for the error but probably for Cole himself. He pretty much epitomises everything that is wrong with the modern game.

    Greed, arrogance, cheating etc...

There is no doubt his perceived characteristics dont adhere him to the average fan.

But if England do win a trophy with him in the team, him and the rest of the team

will be cherished as a national treasures for eternity.

  5. is that ok with you Mr True Football fan..

And less of the pedantic sh1t. Were have i stated that i am a true football fan and that you aren't. Stop getting personal and keep to the debate. :o

OK but calling someone an Idjit is getting personal.

Besides im not a true football fan i'll go to 2 games max this season, as i have done for a fair few years, i just go on internet forums complaining about how English football has evolved and how i see it evolving in the future. ( i was a proper supporter many moons ago though)

  6. at 43 and 68 years old,and judging by the welts on the old guys face looks like it could be self defence..

Stabbing someone in a fight is not self defence. Carrying a knife shows premeditation and intent. If the guy dies then it should be murder. The guy looks like a pr*ck and hopefully his final acting role will be in Cell Block H

Where you come from that might be the case, but here in civilised England its ok to kill indigenous white men with a knife and only get a slap on the wrist.

I love this quote "Khan, pictured, had been cleared of murder following a two-week trial at Stafford Crown Court but convicted of manslaughter on the grounds that he did not intend to kill or seriously injure 52-year-old Mr Brown."

The murderer left his house with a knife to go to an argument and it still isnt murder.

  7. SWP played last night.

This player emphasises my point to perfetion about billionaire owners ruining the game, it almost ruined his career going to Chelsea, a club who spend money they can never generate on players then let them warm the bench or rot in the reserves.........would you also disagree with this.

Here read this Mr Whelan seems to have the only decent solution to the problem.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/e...rem/7665875.stm

  8. Read my posts idjit. I have strained to say in my previous posts, that i fully support the City Academy and i am glad to see that the new owners do. SWP played last night, Micah Richards will be a regular, both from the academy.

Ive never said you didnt support the academy, but SWP and Micah Richards were developed in a club that didnt have the best foreign players in the world, hence they were given an opportunity they wont get when a club has a squad a 15million GBP+ players

However, for city to compete with the top level we will have to buy some top class players but Mark Hughes will also introduce youngsters from the academy in the side (as he is doing now). The exposure of the young ones in training and in matches, to the likes of Robinho, will only enhance their ability and experience and not be to the detriment of it.

I agree playing with better players will make the kids better, but they wont get a game when a club has a squad a 15million GBP+ players, if you bring in 6 top class players which is the minimum you need to get in the top 4, there wont be anough games in the season to blood young players.

The more foreign billionaires there are the more money they have to pick and choose the best players from all over the world, im sure youd agree that more money = more choice, hence this will undoubtably lead to more foreign players in the clubs that have money, again its not aimed at ManCity but all clubs who rely on billionaires for financing.

Instead of either of us predicting the future, lets just wait and in only a couple of year ill be proven to be correct, is that ok with you Mr True Football fan..

  9. I have shouted the odd encouraging...."come on son" when things haven't gone well but to boo is just childish. :o

You trying to tell me you never swore at Frank Sinclair, Robert Fleck or the legendary Paul Furlong.

Yeah I have swore at those "legends" but we are talking about internationals playing for queen and country aren't we?

    Apologies.

I dont know if anyone remembers the game v Portugal in Euro 2004, but Cole had what i would call his best ever game and as good as ive ever seen anyone play for england, he ran his socks off and beat Ronaldo to every tackle that day.

  10. I have shouted the odd encouraging...."come on son" when things haven't gone well but to boo is just childish. :o

You trying to tell me you never swore at Frank Sinclair, Robert Fleck or the legendary Paul Furlong.

  11. My goodness me - some of you so-called supporters are harder to please than women!

Damned when they play badly, damned when they play well. Why don't you be done with it and find another country to "support", i'm sure you won't be missed. :D

    Well said Rix.

3 wins out of 3 and still some "supporters" (i use the term loosely :D ) are not satisfied. :o

So tell me Mr. True England Supporter, how does supporting foreign multi Billionaire owners of clubs who want instant success which means bringing in expensive foreign players to the detroment of young English players a way of supporting England?

  12. On average he has another 10yrs to live, he might aswell enjoy them days in LOS then spend the rest of his days waiting to die in Blighty.

Wherever he is he is going to be fairly skint so IMO its better to be skint in the sunshine.

  13. It'll be interesting to see how many fair-weather England supporters return to the fold tonight, following our performance in Croatia. I hope their heads are bowed in shame!

It will be hard for many to watch the game here in Thailand anyway.

I hope the England players remember to bow their heads in shame next time they turn in one of their below average performances ... doubt they will do!

Yes one good performace has got their inflated egos in overdrive, Rio and his band of merrymen do seem to have the thinnest skin of any humans in existance when they get sh7t for not qualifying for Euro2008.

My goodness me - some of you so-called supporters are harder to please than women!

Damned when they play badly, damned when they play well. Why don't you be done with it and find another country to "support", i'm sure you won't be missed. :o

Where have I criticised England about the WC qualifiers it is clearly about Euro2008 qualifiers, and Rio and the team being thin skinned about any abuse they deserved, and also that they shouldnt get too arrogant about one good result.........we didnt qualify surely i am allowed to give the team sh7t for that......or were real fans like you content with Englands Euro 2008 achievement.

I criticised England and they over inflated ego players for not qualifying for Euro 2008, as they were useless throughout qualifying and deserved all the sh7t, especially Steve Mcclaren......Are you trying to tell me you praised England for their effort and hard work in the Euro 2008 qualifying stages and under the late tenure of Sven?

Now England had one very good game against Croatia and the hype around it has been totally overblown, with players such as Rio saying words to the effect of the sh7t they got for not qualifying for Euro2008 really hurt their poor little feelings.

They have now won 3 out of 3, (2 out of 2 when the initial pst was written) but the players shouldnt feel sorry for themselves about getting grief for playing terrible in the past, if they continue to win theyll even get the fans who boooeed Ashley Cole back on track.

Im sure i couldnt find one positive comment about Englands Euro2008 perfomance by members of this forum, now if you wish to comment on what i write please dont twist words to suit your agenda.

  14. I totally agree with you mate, he made one little silly mistake, even though stand in captain Ferdinand told him to play it back and stayed static, which didn't help!

I'm gona be a bit controversial here now......I bet you any money the majority of the boos came from "northern monkey" mouths!! :o

They just hate us southerners and any little excuse for them to vent their anger!............I wonder if any northern lads here will be big enough to agree???

Im a Northern monkey and wouldnt do that, it happened to Beckham and the ManU boys not so long ago, but not for making one single error.

When you go to England games at Wembley, there are minority that travel to every game home and away, theyll never boo at Wembley for 1 error, there are the genuine fans who watch their club and England now and then theyll never boo at Wembley for 1 error.

Then there are the SkySports generation fans who go to the odd Premier League game, and are also hardened Rugby/ Cricket/ Big Time Boxing fans whenever there is a sniff of success. They go to Glastonbury, take gap years and follow any other major event, its this breed that think theyre entitled to give players sh7t during the game becuase theyve paid the price of a ticket.

One final rant the "Prawn sandwich brigade" not coming out until 10/15 minutes after each kick off is a disgrace that the FA could easily solve by locking doors to people who arent back in their seats 5 seconds after kick off.

Any maximum points Ukraine lost ground on us its looking promising that we'll be in SA2010.

  15. Did anyone hear the boos for Ashley Cole last night, <deleted> me what has happened to modern day supporters, he's as good a left back as anyone in the world he makes one silly error and he gets sh7t off a bunch of event seeking glory hunters.

I would understand if players like him and Lampard called it a day and if more were to follow, they dont do much wrong and they get sh7t off their own supporters during the game.................i can understand booing when the names are called out at the start of the game, and when the game is over but to do it during the match when theyre winning is truly shocking and a new low.

  16. This will not stop Thai Hotels/Restaurants from changing 'High Season' prices when thier premises are all but empty. Hopefully, smaller enterprises will gain from the '2week millionaires' with less in thier pockets (Money).

    Dave

Im a 2 month millionaire and i'll be spending the exat same amount in pounds as last year unfortunately for the bars and restaurants it is 20% less in THB then last year.

Im also having to fly indirect as i wouldnt pay 880GBP for a direct flight, last year at the same time it was 620GBP for the same Eva flight.

  18. Are you being pedantic for the sake of it or are you making a point?

I was, and i apologise as we could have had a better chinwag about what champagne socialist Platini and his thieving friend Blatter are doing to better the English game.

Again i will say the way the go about doing it is totally wrong but i do agree with some of the points they are trying to change.

Foreign ownership is here to stay they cant do anything about that, but they can make football a more competitive competition and bring in rules to make it much more difficult for clubs to verge on bankruptcy.

The old divisions 3 and 4 whatever it is called now arent allowed to spend more 70% of income on wages this is a good start

  19. But to answer your question. We probably will end up buying some more foreigners. If that is the quick fix solution to get us competing as a top four team, then that's what will be done. However, Abu Dhabi have already recognised the importance of our academy and they put out a lengthly statement to the city fans, outlining how they will support and invest in the academy for the future players.

If Platini wanted to become useful he would see revenues from UEFA competitions distributed more evenly, hence Man City/ Newcastle/ Villa/ Everton wouldnt need sugar daddies coming from wherever to enable them to compete with teams such as Chelsea who they are far bigger then, this is under his juristiction.

Im sure everyone on here agrees with UEFA ,FIFA about the 39th game, that the pr7ck Scudamore just wont accept is a fcuken joke and is going to antagonise the aforementioned organisations.

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/e...rem/7661836.stm

The Premier League most certainly doesnt care less about fair competition or young English players, its only interest is making money, if Blatter and Platini can impliment changes that make it better for English players to come through and bring clubs closer to the community in which they are from then i wish them all the success in the world.

  20. But it was alright before, when Russians and Americans owned the clubs?

You saw the reaction of Man U fans when Americans bought the club then heaped the debt onto the club, and Abramovich really has done the best he can to kill meaningful competition aswell as putting the breaks on SWP career for a few years, so no it isnt aimed at Arabs, i apologise to the Arabworld for my error.

  21. They are also bang on the ball when saying that Arab businessman running English clubs,

But it was alright before, when Russians and Americans owned the clubs?

    that have foreign managers

Yeah, i suppose Mark Hughes, being Welsh is foreign :o but nobody complained when he played for united.

no English players in the team is not what football is about.

To name a few. Shaun W phillips and Micah Richards, English internationals. Joe Hart, Micheal Johnson are regulars in the side. Daniel Sturridge and Ched Evans up and coming. Richard Dunne and Steven Ireland, Irish Internationals

FIFA and UEFA and English fans that dont like all the non CLUB generated money in the game have been talking about this long before Man City got taken over so no it isnt aimed at Man City, but about ENGLISH football in general.

Mrbojangles - Now this is aimed at Man City, the first superstar signing the new owners have made is foreign, if the next batch of 20+ million GBP signings they buy in the upcoming 2 transfer windows are all foreign will you accept that the new ownership is going to be detromental to the English players from the Man City youth academy which at present looks as if its about the best in England for English players?

  22. They may be bitter but i think they have a good point when wanting local homegrown players in each team.

They are also bang on the ball when saying that Arab businessman running English clubs, that have foreign managers and no English players in the team is not what football is about.

Or that taking an 11 year old kid from Marseille to Chelsea is wrong and IMO is totally immoral.

They have good points and im sure the majority of true fans agree with them its just they go about their business the wrong way.

As for debts the Premier League is a business in the EU so they can have debts as high as they want, but what are Man City going to do if the current owners get bored in a few years, or if Abramovich gets done in by the Russians, or if Villas director realises he's lost a lot of money as he can only finish 5th, theyll go bankrupt but on a far bigger scale then Leeds.

And its called the Premier League not the EPL.

  23. i am watching the sopranos now and just wondering what the farang mafia scene is like. does it really exist? i dont go to places where those types of farang would hang out but i am curious are there farang loan sharks and book makers and drug dealers etc or are these operations controlled by locals?

The Thais need to sell their drugs to foreigners and they also need to buy South American substances from foreigners, so from that point of view as with any business there is an inter dependance, but anyone with a brain isnt going to start trouble or tread on a top end Thai villians toes.

As for loan sharks i know a one who lends out big money and he seems to spend his life chasing people who have no intention of giving it back, most the farang wannabee badboys in LOS are plastic gangsters.
