There are more people who cannot stand being told the truth than you might imagine -
I had that problem before. I took one email to customer service and they converted the wallet to a voucher which was easy to use with the next order.

A friend of mine arrived in Phuket a few days ago. At the checkpoint she just said she had no smart phone. The answer was "Ok, no problem." and that was all.

How can i get a thai driving license ?
hkt83100 replied to bluebanana's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
I wonder how people will survive in this country if they need an agent for everything instead of taking matters in their hands and do what others have done before. It can be easy if you go to the respective office and try to ask some polite questions. Nobody will kill you there. At least I am still living after about 25 years here without any agent. Give it a try, it's easy. -

price of medical certificate for driving licence
hkt83100 replied to alexi333's topic in Health and Medicine
Including the private factor of 5 to 10 in prices. And a "hospital fee" of 200 Baht, which none of the cashiers in Phuket could explain to me. I guess it is the fee for aircon? -
4 month left before passport expiry
hkt83100 replied to Tayida's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It happened to a friend of mine a few years ago in Phuket. He got a stamp until end of validity of his passport. After the new passport arrived, the stamp was transferred and extended for the full year without further payment. I don't know if this was a Phuket Special - but it might happen somewhere else, too. Anyway, the new passport would be a good idea, should be possible for almost (?) every country in the time remaining. -
If they ask for a "fee" for issuing the certificate, don't forget to ask for a receipt. It should be free...

I registered via the website and by email confirmation on August 3rd, got my appointment notice on 23rd at 11:37 p.m. for the next morning at 10 a.m. When I arrived there (after 90 minutes drive) everything was very organized and I had the choice between Pfizer, AstraZenica and Sinopharm. 11:30 everything was done and dusted. It would have been nice to get the notice earlier, but it worked anyway. The service at Central Korat was great. Next jab will be on September 14th.

I just received a "Covid-19 Vaccination Appointment" for tomorrow morning "10 a.m. at Central Korat" - about 90 minutes drive from where I live. In total there 174 email addresses in the To: field. At least they might have sent it as BCC ... The mail came from Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital. A bit more precise would have been nice, well - let's see what happens tomorrow morning. Good luck to 173 others!
