Must Read Thailand reports record 21,838 new coronavirus cases and 212 deaths

The problem I see is that infections have been raging in Bangkok for 3 months now and as far as I can see other provinces are weeks if not a couple of months behind as it spreads outwards, unless everyone is vaccinated very quickly then I don't see any way of stopping it, yes the current semi lockdown will slow the progress but I don't think it will stop it - it will just last longer and cases will continue to rise, Bangkok might reach a peak soon but that is only bangkok, without a mass vaccine program (which isn't going to happen) then IMO this will go on for months, we also don't know what is round the corner - we have seen this virus mutate and so far each mutation has been worse in every respect - we might get a lucky break and get a new variant that spreads even more easily but has lost its deadly nature - it is not unheard of and would be pure luck if it happened -

Swiss tourist dead, believed raped, murdered in Phuket Sandbox

I have a suggestion for you since don't seem able to understand my post and seem to have a problem with them here is my post in full most of which you removed in your reply I don't have a problem with taxi drivers - I was thinking about how remote this area is and how she got there - it appears it was within walking distance of her accomodation so no motorised transport required It makes this murder somewhat harder to solve as it could have been anyone that ambushed her in this remote scenic area, she likely went there alone for a walk. -

we all knew this already and like I said yesterday - this makes a total farce out of these daily figures - they are meaningless They also said that they had a 20% detection rate from the antigen tests, extrapolate that out to the population and you start to get close to the real numbers in Thailand Several people on here and including the PM were pointing the finger at other countries such as the UK claiming they had it much worse than Thailand THE UK TESTS 1 MILLION PEOPLE PER DAY The infection detection rate in Thailand is directly related to the number of PCR tests and the type of testing i.e. targetted, many on here have been saying this for months

it really depends where you go within a country I have said before (unrelated to this thread) that the islands are dangerous for western women because unlike places like Pattaya Thais and farangs all mix in the same entertainment venues - young western women become targets/pray, Koh Tao is a prime example But lets not forget that there are Thai women that become victims to western men - a number of murders over the years -

RIP I wonder how far she was from her hotel if this is a remote area could be the work of a taxi driver or similar anybody know the area she was found on Ao Yon Waterfall is a rather hidden swimming hole around 3.6 km east of the Kao Khad View Point. ... Ton Ao Yon Waterfall has several drop pools that are big enough to bathe in. Since many people skip this spot in favour of Phuket's more popular waterfalls, you'll probably have the entire area to yourself. -
you do realise that currencies move around - that is quite normal it seems to be a challenging concept for you to understand
