  1. it would appear that when mass testing is actually carried out they are finding cases, just shows how rampant covid is in the community - if schools were not opening none of these would have been uncovered
  2. so you don't think that those living here for XX years should automatically be rolled in ?
  3. I know you are involved in the health sector Sheryl - is it insurance ? you seem to be well clued in on insurance topics straight question
  4. but must include covid as for the neighbouring countries labour force - the point is why not allow those retired here to sign up to the same or even pay a little more - even though I don't work here I bring money into the country - those from neighbouring countries earn it and take it out - which one should Thailand value the most
  5. indeed, most developed countries allowed people to be nationalised after a period of time - what exactly are they afraid of in Thailand, IMO anyone living here for say a continued period of say 5 years should be automatically offered nationalisation
  6. you are/where on an extension of an O-A but now marriage, you were never extending an O
  7. the insurance you are referring to is covid specific and is currently required for all foreigners entering Thailand regardless of visa, but of course it does not include cheap slave labour entering from neighbouring countries
  8. correct, Insurance is big business, they make the requirements as difficult as possible to encourage people to take out a Thai policy - I wonder how many government officials or families are involved in Thai Insurance
  9. but they are required to maintain a hefty bank balance of Bt400k-800k for much of the year unless the can meet minimum income requirements or are married to a Thai
  10. I thought Bangkok was already vaccinated hence the Green status - what bunch of self serving #
  11. Be interesting to see which businesses get the so called SHA+ approval to open, they could be very selective when it happens with a few backhanders going into deep pockets, places like gogo bars and soi 6 ST bars might have a problem getting approved to open ....................maybe ever
  12. maybe thinking there could be a lucative export market to the USA for refurbished panties lol
  13. I was making it clear for people like you who might not quite get the direction they are heading - New Normal sounds lovely but they are about to foolishly destroy 30 years of tourism and replace it with what ?, as already pointed out by another poster - the place is a filthy dump and until they fix that their aspirations of elevation to luxury are complete garbage
  14. gogo's and the sex industry in general including ST bars etc (soi 6 pattaya) are not part of Prauths plan, if you have a business in that sector I think you are going to have a problem, personally speaking I wouldn't care much in they bulldozed soi 6 pattaya and revoked the licence of every gogo bar and seedy joint in Thailand - they need to make their intentions clear instead of all this new normal ##, either have the dump or get off the pot
  15. changing consumer behaviors that they trying to enforce with laws and forced closures - there is nothing normal about it
  16. what a complete pile of delusional nonsense and there is no such a thing as "NEW NORMAL" .................. Thailand is either a free country or heading towards a country of dictatorship and draconian laws inhibiting freedoms - this is very dangerous talk and is giving a hint of what this man is thinking - this is what his so called "NEW NORMAL" actually means - it's a nice set of words to describe something very much more sinister anyone that has a business that doesn't fit the sinister so called "Amazing New Chapters" can forget about it if this man has his way, one very obvious clue is the current attitude towards pubs bars nightclubs gogo bars etc - they are using covid in an effort to destroy those businesses
  17. how much of what people are seeing is actually local population finally being let out of their cage and allowed to go out - people do actually live in Phuket you know, I believe the figure is around 500k, an extra 2000 foreign tourists is hardly much to write home about in the grand scheme of things, I read the same confusion from some people living in Pattaya - it's busy - it's rammed when in fact 90% of the city is barron and shuttered
  18. exactly, I could post a photo right now of a very busy (rammed) area of pattaya right now and I would call it extremely busy - it is one very small area in Pattaya - 90% of the rest of the city is abandoned shuttered in darkness and like a dead zone ............................ teah Pattaya is buzzing lol just like Phuket - utter nonsense
  19. I know a few have travelled to Phuket from inside Thailand, it was also interesting that when figures were published yeterday that over 6,000 had left Thailand In the OP photo - there seem to be a lot of waitresses in that place seving about 3 customers lol - hardly groundbreaking is it and as we all know just like their daily covid figures - TAT figures are just as suspect, however it seems Hua Hin is being open and honest about the reality of Thailands so called opening - it is an absolute failure and the reasons are obvious to most
  20. yes indeed, I estimate over 200 people in there "all just eating" and of course following all the rules to the letter not
