  1. as i understand it,some english guys have married a thai lady and are claiming husband/wife pension, even though the thai wife has never lived in the uk.Single pension is 91.71??? and husband /wife pension is 134.00??

1/ is this possible to claim

2/has this law being changed for new claiments.

i remember reading that if you are still claiming, you can only claim until 2014

any up to date info would be very interesting,or websites to read this.

  2. wow some of these bars arent worth a light, purely for tourists who want to waste their money or farangs that cant be arsed to try some decent thai grub.

you come half way round the world and go in an irish bar,get a life guys and gals.

  3. great result for the mighty Potters but its hard work watching our style of play.yes, results are the most important thing, but its bloody lucky i have a strong heart.

realy am finding the defensive attitude quite boring now.as the thais say, same same same same.we have to score goals to keep us up and that pattern of play will not give us many games.at the end of the season i wont care, especialy if tp starts to get better players in.

  4. I know guys who've married perfectly respectable Thai girls they've met on chat rooms. I'm way past the point of needing to visit these sites, having been married for a hundred years, but I can't see anything wrong with the idea of them, even if you have to take some care. I met my wife through our workplace and that seems a natural site for people to meet and develop a relationship. Others might meet through friends or family, but if you don't want to meet your life partner in a bar and you work in a pretty much single-sex industry, where are you going to meet him/her? Internet sites, assuming they're well managed, seem a reasonable option to me.

As for what girls are going to ask guys on these sites - questions about occupation, marital status and location seem sensible to me. Most young women want to know if a man has some substance. Once that's established she can probe his thoughts on quantum mechanics, if she wants, and he can seek her wisdom on the benefits of Zen practice if that's his bag. Then they'll soon know if they're a match or not!

    meet ladies in.

    1/golf clubs

    2/supermarket workers

    3/ bank workers

    4/ internet shop

    5/ large superstores

    6/certain night clubs

    7/car dealers

now did that take plenty of thinking,no it didnt.

can anyone clever, put another 7 lets sart from here.

  5. I think it's just a ploy…..

To grab your attention that they are "not" looking for the money from men,… by pretending to be a professional/ independent/ educated career minded women,…. because they know that many guys nowadays don't like clinging, financially dependent on them women.

And if they are "truly" looking to "work" outside Thailand, and not into the dating, they know "too well" that they shouldn't be on the dating sites.

This is just me thinking here :o

    very wrong.

many are uni students trying to get a sponsor to continue education.they are not pretending, they have pc and know how to use/milk it.dont comment when you dont know.

  6. it's a matter of taste, nothing beats sweet breaky. Tucking in freshly baked, filled "pastarella" and creamy hot cappuccino at a caffe bar :o

    post-7932-1228123428_thumb.jpg

To be honest that looks disgusting and terrible for your health.how much sugar would you put in the cup.

Same as the usa brekkie, them flapjacks with syrup, feel sick thinking about it.Wont mention about the huge obese problems in America

  7. labour in general is cheaper for house repairs/car repairs etc.

    houses are cheaper

    many groceries

    gas

    ciggies(i dont smoke though)

many beers with happy hours everywhere.

    private schools

    petrol

i find pattaya cheaper than the uk for most things, and the most important advantage is good health with this climate.

Other parts of thailand are way cheaper than pattaya,so i can move if ever i have problems.

  8. hot off the press.

the reason ronaldo crashed was that his zits burst and shot all over the windscreen restricting his view.fergie told him to keep the make up on, like on the field. but he didnt listen.

man u are panicking about him being fit for sunday, they say he has 3 broken finger nails and a ripped false eye brow and he will not face the cameras.

  9. Wow..that would really be a kick in the groin for folks...especially those poor (pun intended) Brits having their English breakfast and having to pay for it with their depreciated English Pounds. It would be something like 75% more expensive to them than a year ago.

At least for us Americans, it's about the same (price increase about matches $ appreciation vs. baht past year) :o

In any case, I never found their food that great...though it seems to be a very popular place. Still many places around town that have B 55-B 75 breakies for the monetarily challenged.

do i detect a certain amount of racism against the brits.

    pistols at 10 paces yank

  10. there may be plenty more farangs falling on hard times due to the crash so lets all have some heartfelt sympathy instead of bad posts.if he had fallen on hard times in his native country we would be saying sorry, but because he is in thailand we are throwing stones.

  11. Some posters mention quality clothes in europe compared to here.one only needs shorts and tops to live in thailand,so no suits to purchase, ties, long sleeved shirts, trousers, all expensive.

    :o

I can just see walking into a major International company in Thailand wearing only shorts and a singlet. What a hoot!

    1/ i dont wear singlets

2/ i am retired early so dont get jealous

3/ i can do what i want when i want

4/ happy hunting with your job in hot weather, sweating like a rpaist

  12. Some posters mention quality clothes in europe compared to here.one only needs shorts and tops to live in thailand,so no suits to purchase, ties, long sleeved shirts, trousers, all expensive. The biggest savings by far for me is that i dont need to buy trousers at 50 quid a pair or designer shirts, tops, even pants.i used to buy ties at 25 quid and a shirt for 100 quid.must have been off my trolly or too much money.

  13. 4* hotels are Holiday In, for example. How does that compare with your B&B?

I wrote that the most cheap bed and breakfast in my home town cost 2500 Baht,

The holliday Inn- Chiang Mai rate for a double twin cost 2450 Baht

so an Holliday Inn in Thailand is cheaper than an bed and breakfast in my home town.

Meaning that hotels in Thailand are very cheap. Capiche :o

because you can have an bed and Breakfast in Thailand for lower than 100 Baht. for the cheapest one,

its 25x cheaper than in my home town.

DONT FORGET THAT MOST HOTELS IN THAILAND ARE FOR THE ROOM,UK IS PER PERSON IN MANY HOTELS

  14. the hyundai accent is a good solid car and the engine is excellent.one problem is the dash board splits due to the heat.just had new suspension struts for mine, its 10 years old now as i have had it 5 years.the cost was 5,900 baht.also had a respray, including dents etc and that was 22,000 baht so i have a nearly new car for 28,000 outlay.
