I don't like them either, but they do now accept foreinger KYC docs verification again. I tried it and it tokk 2 weeks. I doubt I will use them however, once bitten twice shy and all that.

I can also confirm that Bitkub has accepted my KYC documents recently and upgraded me to Level 1. In addition to document upload, Bitkub KYC team also called me in Google Meet to do the verification interview before upgrading me to Level 1.

Question related to topic -- Regarding Thailand to US transfer: Has anyone had a situation where Dee Money sent you a "your money transfer has reached your recipient" email but the funds are not yet in the account? Is there some US side ACH delay? Do they sometimes have to send a paper check on the stateside? I got the "money has reached recipient" email and message in app but nothing showing on US account yet. (i have asked Dee Money about this but have not received reply on Line or email.)

Yes, I noticed about one day delay from the time Dee Money sent "your money transfer has reached your recipient" to the time money show up in the recipient bank account.

Should have called the Head SS office (and still should if the 6 month window hasn't closed).

Many have continued under Section 39 without a pink ID card  Just passport. Problem is that some SSO offices do not know how to process this for foreigners .... or in general  (very rare for a Thai to take this option since they can be vovered under "30 baht: scheme for free).

6 months window has passed so not possible for me to switch to section 39. I know many has done it in the past but I didn't see the recent reports of foreigners switching to section 39 without pink ID.

Well, yes, but SSO will want a Pink ID. No other document is accepted. I went through the whole circus earlier this year. I had a SS card, with a number, but that was not acceptable. They insisted that I get a Pink ID, and once I had it, they used that number, which is different from the old one. On the web portal and the mobile app, both my Section 33 and Section 39 contributions are visible, but under the new (Pink ID) number.

It is true that SSO want a Pink card ID. I was not able to change to Section 39 contribution due to not having pink card ID.

    That was in 2018.

    How about now?

    It may change now.

Can you buy baht currency at superrich with credit card?

You can buy foreign currency bank notes at super rich with credit card by paying 3% fee and then exchange the foreign currency bank notes at any money changer for Thai Baht.

I did the same as you— when I decided  that I would make TH my permanent home, I wanted to create and build my official credit profile (as maintained by the NCB) here.

I asked my banker at BBL (I have BBLs Bualuang Banking) and she said that for a non-citizen worker (ie holds a non-B and work permit) the best way was via an unsecured** credit card, I did ask about unsecured personal loans, but was told a credit card was better as it was open ended and not fixed term like a personal loan.

So, that’s what i’ve done.. I applied for, and was ultimately approved for unsecured cards from BBL, Kbank and Krungsri.  Each one reports my monthly balances and payment history to the NCB.  I also get a letter from each creditor annually which summarizes my activities for the year.

Unlike the US, the NCB itself only acts as a data collection entity, they not create any “score” for borrowers- that’s up to each creditor and their unique risk analysis models in use for any selected lending situation.

**(some banks may require you to deposit X funds into a deposit account which then becomes pledged against your card and can’t be withdrawn until the card is paid in full and account closed; these are still credit cards and are reported to the NCB as such)

This post is the most accurate reply to the OP questions. Since OP has work permit, unsecured Thai credit card is the way to build credit history in Thailand.

You can ask you HR or Finance department to help with your yearly tax declaration, done between February - April. On that tax form you can declare your Estonian income besides your Thai income. Then you will get a paper from the tax department what tax you still need to pay. This can be done in one go or you can pay equal parts in 3 months time.

You can also use RD Samart Tax application from Revenue Department Thailand to declare the dividend income and calculate the amount of tax owed for the current financial year.

the result is with 1 Dilution even after 3 years. Stage is no stage at all. will they check and accept or not?

If your friend's condition has not reached stage 3 yet, he will be accepted even if tested positive. Stage 3 is very obvious with open sores all over the body so doctors can easily verify without doing any blood test.

One thing to be aware of, antidotally it seems that not many entities outside of the DCA/MFA are aware that Thai SSO *is* a valid substitute for $20k insurance.. so it might be helpful if you have a copy of the DCAs latest updated rules .pdf to show - just in case one of the entities isn’t aware…

I understand SSO card is written in Thai language only.

It must be hard to convince the check-in staff at the foreign country airport to let you board the plane to Thailand by showing the SSO card which they cannot read in lieu of mandatory Covid insurance.

Just to the Thailand Pass home page. So not sure if I reapply or they know I gave information to the hotel, because reapplying restarts the whole process.

Thailand Pass will send your name to hotel and if it does not receive any response within 30 hours, your application will be rejected. You can remind hotel through Agoda chat that you have applied for Thailand Pass and they need to respond any questions from Thailand Pass ASAP.

Just to update, as of 8:30 pm tonight I've been notified by the hotel that my test has come back negative. !! No need for any further novels from me!

Just make sure you guys take a PCR test even if you have caught covid recently, no matter what you are advised.

That's if your trying to enter Thailand with a doctors covid recovery certificate.

    Good luck

If your day 1 test result is positive, you can still challenge the result by producing the covid recovery certificate. I know a guy who was tested positive on day 1 in Thailand but he has covid recovery certificate and asked for second test. The lab agreed to check again and found that virus is present but inactive. He was given updated certificate of PCR test (negative) and allowed to check-out of the hotel.

That mortality rate seems quite high. It suggests to me that there is a massive undercount of confirmed cases. it's likely well over 100,000.

Actually, mortality rate in Thailand is lower than US. US Covid deaths in the period from Dec. 19 to Jan. 15, when Omicron infections were at a peak, averaged 9 per 1,000 COVID cases (0.9% Mortality rate).

Was this with Sandbox or the Day 1 & Day 5 test & go? As he had to go back to the hotel for the stupid day 5 quarantine and test, I assumed the hospital would upload the results.

I entered via Day 1 & Day 5 test & go. Hotel provided me with the print out of lab results when I check out after Day 5 test and go. I also assumed hospital would upload the result but on Day 7 notification pop up on Morchana to upload the test results.

Mor Chana doesn't record vaccinations, only the status. He's going to have to leave/return to Thailand again in a few weeks, so I want to know if he has to try to get this fixed before then. Does the orange status mean his test & go results haven't been registered properly?

On Day 7, I received the notification in Morchana to upload my second RT-PCR results. When I uploaded the second RT-PCR result to the link provided in Morchana notification, my QR in the app become green and status become "very low risk".

My $0.02 - I did my second test (this was in December before the new rules of booking into a hotel) in a well-known hospital in Chiang Mai. The test of course was negative.  I asked how do I notify some authority and was met with blank stares.

I DID get a couple of phone calls from Thailand, don't know from whom, when I got back home but it was early morning (3am) for me so didn't answer.

After that, nothing. My wife also did her second test and is still in Thailand. Nearly two months later she still hasn't been arrested ???? We had lost the pink slips when we took the first test (reported here) and was not able to find out NOW I was supposed to report the second test.

My passport is about to expire so next time I go it will be with a new passport, and by then all this silliness should have gone.

I received daily notifications on my Morchana application when I didn't upload the day 5 test results. When I upload the day 5 test result to the link shown in Morchana notification, the QR in the app become green  with the label "very low risk".

You do not need the Covid-19 insurance to enter the country or to apply for a Thailand Pass. You only need proof of your social security coverage. You can find lots info on the Thailand Pass website.

The problem is showing the Thai social security card to airline check-in staff at your home country airport in lieu of insurance. Social security card is written in Thai script only and airline staff cannot read the info written on the card.
