I did the evisa but never received any email with the visa. Having completed the procedure I was given a reference number and after a few days used this reference to track the progress to find that the evisa was available for download. Not sure if there was a glitch in the system.

Try Dasa Books in Sukhumvit , just down from Emporium. They have a good selection of books other than English on the top floor.

Also i understand there is a Goethe Institute in Bangkok that may be worthwhile contacting to see if they are interested.

I tried Dasa once with some very good quality hard cover non fiction books but what they offered was so pathetic I gave them to the British Council who were holding a charity fair at the time. My guess is that you may have to do the same, the Goethe Institute seems like good advice.

My 90 day reporting is due on the 20th February. On the 26th I am flying to Mandalay and then return a week later. I have a multiple entry visa and Non Imm Retirement Visa. My first question is what leeway is given on the 90 day reporting, would I need to report on or before the 20th since I am going out of the country on the 26th.

The other question is. in Bangkok can we send the 90 day form in by post and what is required, s.a.e, postage etc?

What I would like to see in these reports is a fair information on not only victims but perpetrators as well.

My experience of buying lottery tickets is in the UK and the ticket tells you the dates of the draws you are entered in whether its one or several dates.

They are the biggest but for diversity there are many second hand book shops on Sukhumvit. They aren't big but you might find something differerent. Surely though amazon is the way to go, you could always sell them onto the aforementioned places.

I agree download them to a kindle or IPad etc. However having said that there are some books that I still prefer getting in hardcover or paperback especially if you constantly have to keep referring to some page or other or need to look at maps.
