I dont know if they are currently more lax, but they are certainly working much faster. I had to get my visa extension done at CW (counter N) at the end of last month. I was #50 when they began at 830am I was out by 10am -

I am just imagining the delays that will be experienced by arriving tourists when a few international flights disgorge 500-600 people at relatively the same time. do they really think that they can handle testing all those people without having people waiting hours to be tested? and imagine all the mix-ups that will occur with whose samples are whose, plus all the false positives that will occur...

they have simply redefined words to mean what they want them to mean open used to mean buy your ticket, arrive, pass through immig and then go enjoy your holiday open/reopen now means that tourists can apply for/buy/be under whatever restrictions the government currently requires to come here the tourism big shots are working under the misunderstanding that people will go to any lengths/jump through any hoops to come here asap for a holiday, irrespective of what is open/available when they arrive. vaccinated people used to mean having had the full regimen of requires doses of the respective vaccine here it now means getting a single shot of anything and the new term fully vaccinated means two shots of whatever combo is available -

we have been told that with the 2 vax shots you can still get infected, just not as sick so someone unvaxxed is no threat to a vaxxed person either one can get infected and pass it on only the unvaxxed should get sick -
