1. Riot police - drag them away. They resist and put the police in danger then the club comes out. Not very hard - first few people who get clubbed will deter others from doing so. If you know their is no consequence to what you do then this just emboldens these lot.

I am quite sure, in this case, the riot police will be the one that get clubed. Not the protesters. They out numbered the police 100 to 1.

  2. "In the next few weeks we (foreign operators) are going to be getting together and making a stand," one industry insider said. "Things absolutely have to change."

"This situation cannot go on. If a major event takes place now, we will never be able to say we didn't see it coming, that we couldn't prepare."

Can the the foreigners group together and tell the Thai what to do? I don't think so. It Farang don't like how things is done in Thailand, Farang are welcome to leave. Don't try to be a master in other's home. Farang is just a guest here.

  3. I hadn't really considered the septic system, and now wonder if a bleach solution is a good thing to be draining into the septic system. (There is a slight bleach smell after flushing when there has been a siginificant time lapse since the previous flush.)

    it's a bad thing!

Yes bad thing, the bleach stops the natural bacterial breakdown in the septic tank, a corectly working (bacterial working) tank will go between 5 to 10 years before it needs emptying, if no natural bacterial action is taking place you will need to empty it in a matter of months!!

Hint: to restart the natural bacterial breakdown in your septic tank..chuck in a dead rabbit / chicken!!

Don't know how true it is, but I was told that 'natural Yoghurt' will get a septic tank kickstarted? it sounds feasable!

I don't know. But the UHT yoghurt you get from Tesco will have no bateria left alive. At least that's what UHT means.

  4. Bangkok Bank will not be in trouble. Rumors are they back PAD, and PAD is protecting them. I try google it. There are a lot of forum discussion on this topic, and I have seen nothing concrete.

  5. Apirak must be glad that he is no longer BKK governor. Although Swampy is not in Bangkok, Don Muang is.

On the other hand, if the MPs cannot agree on a PM, can they invite a 3rd part to become PM (just like Khun Anan a few years back)? Apirak will be a good candidate. He has pass the most important citeria for being a PM - Alleged Criminal.

  6. Abhisit's a nice guy.you'd trust him to feed your cat if you were away for the weekend - but that's about it. Sure he speaks fluent English and the office girls in Bangkok adore him but his refusal to speak out on anything that might upset the establishment in the slightest way has marked him down as nothing more than a poster boy for Bangkok middle classes.

Sad as he could have been a good PM if he had balls.

If someone can please add 10 % Chuvit into his genetic?

Just a suggestion. Maybe Thailand might want to toy with the idea of having 2 PM at the same time. Abhisit & Chuwit together. The Yin & the Yang of ZEN teaching. The problem is, I am not sure who is the Yin, and who is the Yang for this couple.

  7. To re-educate Thai, ASTV should be allowed to go on air via the public waveliength. Since ch 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 is already taken, ASTV will have to settle for ch 13. I hope Sondhi is not a suspicious kind of guy.

But having heard that the Kick PPP with 6 used Kotex, I don't think he would want ch 13.

Ref is here (cut & paste your self)

    Just something to laugh about.

  8. In fact it was the AOT who initially shut down the airport, not PAD. There were reports that PAD went there to "greet" Somchai coming back from Peru. Then AOT closed it down, and only then PAD took over.

I guess they can try to sue PAD for whatever they have done after the airport was closed. The courts issued and injuction that PAD subsequently appealed, and it had fifteen days to comply anyway.

The whole thing is a non-starter for multiple legal reasons.

Maybe in the end they can get slippers of Chamlong for trespassing.

Yes. Only AOT can order a shut down. But to be fair, the order was a correct call. If you see the video footage, The access road was already blocked all the way to motorway, and AOT only order the shut down when protestors forced their way into the departure hall dispite the airport securities holding them back by closing all the doors.

  9. I bet PAD's sponsors (DTAC/Bangkok Bank/Thai bev) are saying.........OH <deleted> :o

THAI is a PLC, so they have to file that as a formality. However, everythings stops there. The court is going to ignore it for the sake of National Securities. THAI is not expecting a reply from the court. Bad luck to all share holders.

  10. Chalerm for P.M.

The P.P.P. shooting itself in its foot. More like Thailand being shot in the head. The world will witness this murder.

Chalerm is quite a nice guy. People like him and give a lot of support for him. However, people doesn't like his sons, and the way he (being a father) protect his sons. Having said that, I would have protected by sons the way he did.

  11. Last time there was a snap election the TRT (PPP) won another outright majority, and so began the slide into the abyss Thailand finds itself in today.

Is my memory bad- or didn't Abhsit boycott that election, at least in part, because there was not enough time for the Dem's to prepare- and now he is demanding a snap election?

    Wrong. Please read here.
