  1. @billd766I've made a number of international transfers via the K+ App, all have gone through without a hitch and without the need to visit the bank or supply any paperwork. My last transfer via the App was for 116,000 Baht sent to Singapore, the exchange rate on the day was good and the fee was 250 Baht, the cash arrived the same day. I wonder if they've changed their procedures?
  2. Not always, I ordered some items recently, paid for the items when I ordered, after a couple of days of being listed as "packed", the order was listed as cancelled and the cost was automatically refunded to my debit card a couple of days later. My wife always orders COD, I think she has her personal driver, we're often out when the package arrives, that's why I don't use COD, she receives a call and pays the operative by bank transfer.
  3. This question has nothing to do with “Visa or Migration to other countries” so I’ll move to “Banking”.
  4. Have you read the latest advice from the British Government? This advice is for England, different countries within the UK may differ. https://www.gov.uk/guidance/travel-to-england-from-another-country-during-coronavirus-covid-19?fbclid=IwAR2_7pnfoGEFA8qx27ma6CfJYAcxh6cEzbFjGFieUoRbO-obVs1EMvoE8IU#if-you-are-fully-vaccinated
  5. A number of banks offer this facility, it's also on my Bangkok Bank App, though I've never used it. The fact that you may not wish to open any more accounts maybe relevant to you, but the OP has an account with Kasikorn, and my responses were relevant to him.
  6. I didn't claim it always had a better exchange rate, I said "my most recent transfers via K+ certainly had a better exchange rate and transfer fee that Dee" You need to bank with Kasikorn, like the OP, and install their App https://www.kasikornbank.com/en/personal/digital-banking/kplus/functions/basic/Pages/international-transfer.html
  7. I was responding to your statement "The only one that is allowed is Dee Money", which was incorrect. The OP was asking about sending money from his Kasikorn Account via Wise, he never mentioned exchange rates. As a matter of interest though, my most recent transfers via K+ certainly had a better exchange rate and transfer fee that Dee.
  8. As well as Dee Money you can also send cash out of Thailand via some Thai Banking Apps, for instance I and a number of other members have sent cash out of Thailand via K+, as I mentioned a few days ago.
  9. No, you cannot use Wise to send funds from Thailand to any country. Try Dee Money or the K+ App, though with both you need a bank account in the Philippines.
  10. Maybe a good start would be to address these “assorted skeletons” and find a way of repaying the cash they owe to passengers they’ve let down around the globe. It’s well known internationally that Thai cannot be trusted with passengers cash.
  11. As you’re asking about a Thai visa extension, rather than a visa to a country outside of Thailand, I’ll move your question to the Thai Visa forum, where you’re more likely to get an appropriate answer.
  12. Confusing advice from earlier in the year removed. Things change regularly as does the enforcement of current rules.
  13. Many of their customers in Europe, and indeed all around the world, are still owed considerable amounts of cash for flights cancelled by them at the beginning of the the pandemic, they need to address this before they start touting for new business.
  14. @TheScience I'll move your question to the "US and Canada Topics and events" sub forum, where somebody may be able to assist you.
  15. It's the sweet filling for Mince Pies, the Waitrose equivilant of the Robertson Mincemeat posted by @BritManToo
  16. Waitrose mincemeat was about 250 Baht in Central last week.
  17. As she will be applying for a Visit Visa, are you financing the proposed trip? If you are then you will need to satisfy the decision maker that it is affordable and appropriate for you to do so. Whilst you will need to demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to finance her trip, the UKVI doesn't share evidence with the HMRC, but you will need to show the source of the income . Dumping 300,000 Baht into her Thai bank account is a big no no, I'm surprised that an agent would recommend that she does so, a reputable agent certainly wouldn't, it also seems they have plucked a figure out of the sky. The most important for her to do is to satisfy the Entry Clearance Officer that she has strong ties to Thailand and that she is likely to return at the conclusion of her short holiday.

  19. This subject has nothing to do with visas or migration so let’s move it to the Home Country Forum.
  20. You’ve posted in the visas for countries outside of Thailand forum, let’s move it to a more appropriate thread.
  21. Yes I agree Tony, would the online system even allow an applicant to apply that far in advance, I wonder if the online application system would freeze the application as soon as a date too far ahead was entered.
  22. The UKVI website for a Standard Visit Visa is more clear, though still contradicts the VFS advice https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor/apply-standard-visitor-visa Apply for a Standard Visitor visa If you need a Standard Visitor visa, you must apply online before you travel to the UK and attend an appointment at a visa application centre. The earliest you can apply is 3 months before you travel.
  23. Did you subsequently ascertain the reason for delay at the UK Border, was she subjected to questioning by the UK Border Force officers, or was it the queue waiting to be processed?
  24. I get a credit report every year for my Thai credit card, a real card which was not issued against a deposit, and when I had a bank loan to purchase a car, that was also included in the annual report. I'm retired and have never had a Work Permit in Thailand.
