  1. Noticed lately a crowd around this stall at Tesco, with a few staff apparently promoting those items, 4 Bahts each instead of the usual 15 Bahts, wow, being aware of the thai business thinking i immediately started looking for the "damage" that those items would create, because if they are in a rush to give them away, it must to be something hideying there.

I started thinking and talking what i was thinking at the same time, in the interested crowd, to my other very nicely shaped friend, which as soon as i noticed the fault, understood, and we left, followed by some others which spotted where the trouble was.

I wasn't expecting this from a big chain as Tesco, i could understand the small mom & pops store don't giving a flick about their customers health just to profit a few pennies, but a multimillion $ store operation as Tesco, how disappointing!

  2. That's not a new trick, for example, during the "discounted sales" period, many stores would inflate the real rrp even by 1000%, so that their rip-off new price tags would look to the unaware customer as a great deal, however, some authorities have stepped in to punish these crooks.

In Thailand, well, let's talk about something else.....biggrin.png

  3. In my neighbourhood, everyone have one of those small dish outside of their home, and when i say all, i really mean all, even the ones made of corrugated and rusty metal sheets or the apparently abandoned hut in the middle of the ricefields, they all get the "Platinum" package and pay 3000 Bahts a year....is that another case of the farangs having to pay 10 times the going rates or what???biggrin.png

  4. Do people really get sunburnt here that easily? Im about as white as they come, ive ever had people back home say i look sickly white on my trips back. But in my years im still sporting only a slight darkness on my arms compaired to the rest of my paper white body.

You are getting that slight darkness because you probably keep them exposed, so to avoid this, just keep them inside with the rest of your body and instruct whoever is feeding you to throw the food directly inside the box, that should solve it biggrin.png

  5. With the E-Visa you will pay only 750 Bahts, even if you show it to the people pestering you on the way in and out, they will try to convince you that you need some more extra stuff, just ignore them, even the police might try to give you an excuse to extort more money from you, just don't give up and decline any "shortcut/help" as you will soon notice there is absolutely no such need.

    Edit:

added the words "they will try to convince you that you need some more extra stuff"

  6. And one more observation, as you know there are gazyllions of internet cafes where you can just start using the internet with nobody knowing anything about you at all, so how comes NOBODY is asking for your passport?? aren't they afraid to be prosecuted because of a potential crime you could do by using their internet connection?

I can't recall of anyone being arrested because of this, can you???

Another case of a storm in a tea cup

  7. Obvious scam! Police should be ashamed to even allow a settlement as there is no way theyYes would come down 93% on the estimate. Who were the crooked cops that helped negotiate this wonderful deal? Shouldn't the PM get involved as i believe she is part Macaw?

    "Macaw" is a parrot. Sorry.

    Yes she is.thumbsup.gif

That's good news and can solve the problem!

All we need here now is a volounteer that keep repeating "Stop the jetsky scammers", then he need to go at an heareble distance from the pm and just just do that, as soon as the Macaw step inside the "control room" again she will just repeat what she was hearing and the problem disappear...

    Edit:

    ThaiVisa Voo-Doo attempt

  9. Anyway, the first very important reason i would step inside a 7/11 while being far from home,is..........the aircondition at full blasting power, then i would just buy something to show my appreciation, usually a drink, really, when you walk in the thai heat, stepping inside a 7/11 it's like going to an hospital's emergency room biggrin.png
