Just make a call, it's your health they're playing with.
A call to whom?
The police seem to be on very good terms with these people. It seems they are very influential.

Yes, the wording does seem a little vague.
I am very interested to learn more, because as some of you know I have problems with the "party house" next door. I can see right now they are preparing for a big party.

We had a long discussion with a taxi driver last week . (My Thai brother-in-law and myself.)
He wanted to charge 100 for a small case we carried from Bangkok to Thonburi. He eventually accepted 20 baht.
On the way back we asked the taxi driver how much he would charge for the bag. He was honest and said that it was only trips from the airport where people had to pay baggage charge.
I shouldn't be pessimistic, but i think we'll see a lot of arguments about this in the future.

It is NOT a P.O.Box its a full correct and valid street address with valid post code.
Some services will even give you a choice of city.
I tried that too, but the banks that I tried wanted to see utility bills for the past 6 months.

Not sure if this is any help.
I am British but I lived in Denmark for over 20 years, and then moved to Thailand and have been here for 20 years.
I was given a cheque in the Uk for nearly 100K GBP and when I was there 2 years ago, tried to open a bank account. It was impossible as I didn't have an address there.
Ok. I went to deposit the cheque in my Danish bank account. I found out that my account had been blocked and they refused to accept the cheque and told me to close my account as I no longer live in Denmark. I have 2 adult children there and visit them regularly and may even retire there. No way would they allow me to keep my "convenience account" as they called it.
I ended up transferring all my money to a Thai account.

"In order to curb the spread of Covid-19, people must proceed under government laws and recommendations, while those who violate the law create problems for others,” Anutin said, adding that people can organise events, including countdowns, provided they follow the regulations.
In all seriousness, does anyone know what these laws and recommendations and regulations are anymore?
I see restaurants full of people now, sitting in every chair, people with no masks in the shopping malls, pubs open until (well...after 1 am - I walked past at 1 am), shouting in pubs (it was very noisy)

Uhm I think they man the high end hotels.
With the government paying 50% of the fee and good promotions, most of the big hotels are fully booked at weekends. My friend went on a company outing last weekend in Pattaya and the hotel said that they had 100% occupancy.

The hotel registration is depending of the number of rooms/houses...
Source: "Seven steps: Thai hotel business license".
I can see the point there, but the house (rooms) are not rented out as accommodation. The guests come any time between 4 pm and 11 pm, party and go home between midnight and 6 am. So I would rather call it a night club or bar than hotel.
The drinks are provided (sold) by the lady living there. I don't think she owns the houses.
Edit: Sometimes there are far more than 20 guests. 50 is a more likely figure.
Sometimes maybe only 10 men and then it is very quiet until they leave in the middle of the night

Operating an unregistered nightclub and selling alcohol after midnight is a whole different ballgame to renting out the house on a daily basis.
You've found the illegal activity. I suspect this is 'actionable'.
Now you just need to contact someone high up enough to get it raided and closed down permanently.
The police like to raid drug parties.

Yes, I think that is what we will do.
BTW, it's not only us, but also 2 other houses near us that complain. There are only 4 other houses around us.

Yes, they are selling the alcohol.
I see them taking boxes of expensive whiskey and wine in during the day.
We can also see the empty bottles and cases outside in the mornings.

I don't know if there are drugs involved, but pretty sure there is gambling.
I saw them carrying a couple of snooker tables and some other large tables in late at night whem they first moved in about 3 months ago

can you not throw a bit of cash someones way.
Then rest assuredl, i bet you wouldn't hear a pin drop !
It isn't as big as you think. 5 stories, 4 families. The ground has been in the family for over 50 years.
We have 300 sq mtr and paid about 7.4 million. That is bloody cheap on Thong Lor.
Condos near us start at about 3 million for 34 sq mtrs
The area next to us (ok it is huge) has just been sold for development for 300 million baht.
When I say 7.4 I mean that was our share. As I said it is a family house, so no way of selling our part.

yes. You should see the cars they use. Audio, Ferrari, Mercedes, BMW and a lot of the big Toyota vans (forgotten what they are called)

I'd love to. Some absolutely gorgeous young girls are hired to attend.
They actually came to our house the other evening thinking it was hiring them. Pity the neighbours saw them so fast.

If you dont have a Hotel license it is illegal to daily/weekly rent.
If you are a landlord minimum 6 months rentals.
Talk to City Hall if you are not getting support from the Police.
That is what we are talking about.
Actually, I think the houses are rented by an old lady and her brother. The rent is 220,000 per month per house!
So you can see how many parties they need to cover that.

Not really, it's depending of location, where I live 30 million baht would buy you 1/6th of a rai with a house, if you get a good price, the going price is more likely 35 million. My neighbor put his his about 1/4th rai land with an almost 10-year old villa up for sale for 69 million baht, and sold it for 50 million two years ago...
To OP @petedk: I had a noise neighbor – they however had bought the villa – making big parties late at night, starting around midnight. Police should be alerted to check on it. However, it's best if it's a Thai citizen complaining, not a foreigner (so my Thai lawyer says), so if you have a Thai partner, check if any neighboring Thais are disturbed and would complain, otherwise let your partner call one night, when the party is noisy.
It might work, in my case it did, but the noisy neighbor was foreign, however the police kindly helped the neighbor out of the country, so something more than just noise partying was probably going on next door...????
We were offered 35 million for the land alone (as I said it is on Thong Lor and very desirable), but we declined and decided to build a four family house.
Yes the others are all Thai. They don't really know what to do yet.

Yeah you'd think if the house cost that much it must be enormous and you would have bedrooms at the back away from the road.
Or at least have noise insulation.
The house is well insulated but the sound of women shouting out loud does go through the windows at night.

They couple organising the gambling parties will get in trouble sooner or late. For example, one the clients will have a beef with them or they won't be able to pay off the police. You'll just have to wait them out. It might take a month or two.
That's what we are hoping for.
I saw the other night/morning that some guests literally threw a man in the back of his car. When I went out at 6 am he was on the back seat, door open, covered in vomit.

Update
Reading your earliers posts , it's appears you are in bangkok.
So 30 million property is understandable. Don't mess with any thais. As a foreigner you have no rights and authorities will always side with the locals.
That is exactly what I am afraid of. Yes it was rented out for a month as ASQ to a royal family.
After that for a huge swimming pool party for a large group of Koreans.
This week a different group every night.
Just now I came home and couldn't get in as the road was blocked. I asked the drivers of the cars to speak to the owner of the house. They had no idea who the owner was.
I am the only foreigner in the family. Yes, some of them have high positions and just a few minutes ago we talked about contacting someone higher up in the police. We don't trust the local police

It is enormous.
Our "section" is over 300 sqm and there are 5 sections. All in the family

30 million, I don't think so, I don't care where you live, for that money you could have bought a few rai with the house in the middle and no neighbours to disturb you, excepting BKK of course, pictures or it's all porkies.
Why should I lie?
It is on Thong Lor. The land alone is worth more than that. It is a five story building for the whole family.
It is at the end of what was a very quiet closed soi. Only 2 other houses next to us.

I didn't pay the full amount. It is a family house built on land that the family has owned for more than 50 years.
