The government probably expect most genuine residents have learnt some thai and have got the pink ID card which has been offered to them . The advantage of the pink ID card has become more beneficial than just trying to get the cheap rate at the national park .
Just how do you get a pink card? No need to answer - I have read the requirements:
your passport
your work permit (if any)
your house registration (Ta bian ban)
your marriage certificate (if any)
your 2 books for permanent residency (if you are permanent resident)
birth certificate of Thai children (if any)
Yet migrant workers (our friend's maid) just pay 10K baht and get it within 1 week.
Anyone know how we can do that?

People have known for over a year to avoid large public/private gatherings (and not to organize them) and that they should wear masks if attending them too. All these recommendations seem to be violated here so not a lot of sympathy from me. Just hope those not at the party and infected from spread is limited by these clowns behavior.
They were violated because of the "it won't happen to me. I know those people and they are safe" attitude. I have seen similar cases here in Bangkok, but not on the same scale.

I tried to register using social security number and failed. The reason being that it requires some digits from the back of the ID card.

I wonder if all the provinces are following a standard (CCSA?) format for their regulations?
I keep asking about cycling (and running) and whether a face mask has to be worn?
Is there anyone who has a definite answer to this? If so is there somewhere the relevant section is available in Thai and English?
So far, I have (eventually) only managed to find the Phuket English regulations. I hope the image below is clear.
Also what about kids? Are they exempt? I think so.

Just now, cyril sneer said:the next change will be no more astrazenica, sinovac only
I doubt they will cancel the locally produced AstraZenica. It's more a question of whether production gets going properly or not.

Still no confirmation as to whether foreigners are included in the program or not.
I was counting on paying for the vaccine.

Anyway, apart from that I think that used masks now outnumber plastic bags littering he streets. It's amazing people can't just put them in their pocket and take them home.
-
Why is this notice printed in English and not Thai? Or is it just for the newspaper?
-
Is there a lower age limit for wearing a mask?
I mean young kids 9 - 12 years old. I see a group of about 20 playing football on the street. Not one wears a mask and no one says anything.

It would be great if Thailand would set up a special re-entry process for Thais and expats living in Thailand who travel abroad just to get vaccinated but, like private hospitals administering vaccines, I don't think the government wants this to happen.
Yes, the strict re-entry rules ae also stopping me from going back home to get vaccinated.

Excellent! We have 2 of these "party houses" behind our house. The SOB who owns them doesn't give a <deleted> about anyone but himself. We'll be calling the police on them. You can be sure of it.
Sounds like our place.
Sometimes though there are 20 or more men come and they are VERY quiet until 3 or 4 am when they go home. I can only imagine what they are doing.
I've called the police a few times about the noise. Ok they come. The noise goes down for a while, but slowly goes back up again.

Could be i mean anutin is in trouble and looking bad only dropping numbers can save him. So who knows the numbers might be manipulated. But im not sure about it, lets just see what happens on facebook. If we have many reports of hospitals refusing patients and people dying we know the numbers are fake. If not .. then maybe they are true.
I'm beginning to wonder if there are a few cover ups. I have just heard that 50 or more students at my university have been admitted with Covid. There is no official announcement. When I asked someone in admin if it was true, I got a simple "yes' as an answer. No more info than that.

according to Wiki, he has a degree in engineering from Hofstra U
Call me crazy, but might it be better to have someone with education and experience in public health running the show?
How is his English? I can't recall hearing him speak English.

But more likely, she died of something else.
Why is a 24 year old getting vaccinated so early?
Yes, why is she getting vaccinated so early? My thoughts too. In fact, how can the whole factory get vaccinated? I thought it was only medical workers and high risk groups first.
Was it a black market vaccine? They have found fake vaccine in China.
Or is the owner of the factory so rich that he paid the hospital director to get in first?

a fool and his money are soon parted....I'd grab those empty bags--fill the boxes with wood blocks and apply a little old spice behind my ear.. ????
a rich man spends foolishly--a wealthy man knows the value of his money...those empty bags are perfect bait for some good ole experiments on thai society
maybe set one down in a mall by itself, grab a seat with your phone camera and upload the hijinks to FB to show all the thais what drives most of the girls....
I agree entirely.
Anyway this is obviously a Chinese billionaire - the house costs 300 K a month. He never, ever leaves the house and the only people who visit him are the 2 - 3 girls at nights, so my guess is that he is hiding from something/someone.

HISO
No way!
Our neighbour is a single Chinese man.
One day at around 8 pm 2 girls were delivered to his house. 7.30 am they were picked up by someone, came back at 3 pm with 5 or 6 shopping bags each. Stayed one more night. Next day picked up by the same car as before. The boot was already full of similar shopping bags.
That's HiSo!

Surely not ?? I thought Thailand was supposed to be cheap ?
At a price like that I would imagine the ' oldest profession ' will fade away almost to nothing. I can't imagine being desperate enough to part with a hundred quid for such entertainment.
Probably the same Thai logic as other areas. No sales or customers... let's put up the price.

Didn't the government talk about adding some kind of medical surcharge to cover unforeseen medical expenses to foreigners arriving in Thailand?

4 minutes ago, Pattaya Spotter said:Yes...it's kinda like to make it free for Thais they doubled the cost for foreigners...something like 100 and 300 would seem fair. The numbers are de minimus in any case, my imported Pattaya bed warmer said there were about 6 people (and 3 cats ????) on her bus to Phuket two days ago.
Yes, I doubt many people are travelling to Phuket nowadays anyway and how many of those would actually be foreigners?

I agree with you and would have happily paid the 300 Baht.
On the other hand I pay social security. Shouldn't that cover the cost?
The other big NO NO was the fact that the price increased from 300 Baht to 500 Baht when it was foreigners only that had to pay. That is pure GREED and nothing else.

I am sooo glad the online reporting works now.
I just logged in the app to check my status. I have an overstay of 205 days. Does that mean I will be blacklisted?
I can't be bothered to use the online reporting any more. All future reports will be done by mail.

Which Juicer do you recommend?
in Western Food in Thailand
Posted
A good idea would be to study the different types of juicer first.
What will you be juicing? Fruit or vegetables or both?
We spent ages researching the market and finally chose OSCAR Model DA1200 Fruit and Vegetable Juice Extractor . It's expensive, but fits our requirements perfectly.
There are others that are much cheaper, but as I said do your research.
