  1. I am currently on am extension of stay based on marriage issued @ KCI. When we got the home visit during our "under consideration" period my wife told the visiting officers that I would be applying for an extension based on retirement the next time. The officer told my missus that they would need to visit us again when we applied for the extension based on retirement to question us as to why I was changing from marriage to retirement....

Jeez, wouldn't that be obvious why you want to change ? Less Rules ?. Looks like that office is giving all the Foreigners a hard time by adding more rules to the already overflowing rule book. sad.png

Yes, you can't play it on your fiddle....but it's all Rock 'N' Roll to me man...I can provide all the docs for extensions based on marriage or retirement,,,,easy peasy

Good for you, but one question, just for my curiosity, why do you want to change from marriage to retirement then if you already can show all the documents? (Not getting a divorce are you wink.png )

Kap Choeng is a 250 Km round trip for me, so an extension based on retirement only requires one trip to immigration as opposed to two trips for one based on marriage

Doesn't make sense. Retirement extension is much easier for imm to do than marriage. Next time ask the guys when you go to immigration alone.

Not saying it makes sense pal....just telling it how it is....

This happened when the KCI officers did a home visit and they both spoke English....so not a misinterpretation

  5. It appears you can't get past stage 1 until your 15-day window starts. I tried each of three days prior to my 15-day window without success. Today is the first day of my 15-day window and I was finally able to submit my report. I did this at 04:00 so I imagine it is made available just past midnight.

It's terrible they only give you 8 days to submit before it's due. I was lucky but other people facing problems may run out of time for submitting by mail. But I shouldn't complain too much. It's a big surprise that they even made this online system available.

Same for me. I tried several times before the window of opportunity....without success, but once within the window I was able to submit the application.

  6. I still reckon there is also a check to see you are reporting within the allowed window before you get past the first page. It would explain why I got the "contact your local immigration office" message when I tried approx 20 days before my due date but the next week when I was within the allowed window I was successfully able to submit my application which was approved...

The 15 to 7 days window does not come in until the application is sent to the local office for approval. There have been reports of members being able to complete the application outside the window and their application was not approved.

Not sure why you got the message the first time. Perhaps a glitch in the system or an error in the info you entered.

OK I must have missed the reports from those who could submit outside the window. I guess we'll never know the true idiosyncrasies of the system.

  7. In your case and mine it is because your record does not exist because your last entry was in 2008. Apparently the database the system searches rolls over at some point and deletes the oldest records.

Others may get it because they have gotten a new passport since the their last entry.

In some cases it could be there is an error in the record.

As well as those of us doing our 1st report after entering the country 76 days ago. We have no current 90 day report in the system.

You would not get the contact immigration message because you do not have any 90 day reporting record.

You would get a pending application that might not be approved or left pending. You might also get an approved one dependent upon the office the application is sent to.

@bdenner: I was in a similar situation, as I did my first online 90 day report around 76 days after entering Thailand and mine was approved

  8. I successfully lodged my 90 day report yesterday (10 June) (14 days in advance) sending around 9.30am received email notification by 4.30pm.

BTW my last entry into Thailand was Jan 2014 & my location is Bangkok.

I have a question::::: when is the next 90 days to be calculated from (I guess from 10 June ) ?

There's no indication on the approval form.

My next 90 day report is 90 days from the date of approval

  9. My immigration office (Kap Choeng) also require other forms to be completed.

    1. Acknowledgement of the conditions of your permission to stay

    2. Acknowledgement that you understand the penalties which may be enforced due to overstay

    3. Income form

For people whose designated office is Kap Choeng, more info and the above forms can be found on the Buriram Expats forum....courtesy of a very helpful guy called urleft....

  10. Success!!

Just received a notification by email that my 90 day online report has been approved (applied on Saturday June 6th)

Kap Choeng is my designated immigration office. It's a big deal for me as it is a 250Km round trip and KC don't accept mail in reports.

PS I've read elsewhere that you need to have either a hotmail, live, yahoo or gmail email address to receive the email notification....this isn't true

  11. TM7 is an application for an extension of stay....TM47 is for a 90 day report....

Thank you for that important correction. Sorry...

You are welcome..no need to be sorry..one of your other posts I read before I posted < http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/829638-90-day-reporting-online-tm47/#entry9470616 > led me to believe you thought a 90 day report was the same as applying for an extension of stay....so I tried to be helpful....my bad

  12. Has anybody else like me done a "walk in" 90 day report and received a receipt printed on a piece of recycled paper which contains a copy of someone else's passport ID page on the reverse side?? As already pointed out by UJ, what about the copies of your passport page when you rent a car or motorcycle, check into a hotel or register a SIM card????? Can't understand why these "technical experts" are getting their panties in a twist....

If you don't want to use the online system THEN DON'T

Register a SIM card? Must have had about a dozen of those and no 7/11 clerk has ever asked me for my passport.

Seriously though, is there anything special about online 90 day reporting apart from the 15-7 day window?

Check this out about Sim card registration.... http://tech.thaivisa.com/sim-card-registration-starts-today/3627/
