I'm over. They refused to give me an appointment until after the expiration. Of course I pointed out that insanity and the woman just shrugged.

I had a similar experience, but they (DLT Bangchak) did have a slot for me 2 months later which would have been more than one year after expiry. So instead, I travelled to a less busier province (Petchaburi) and thank fully got it done there in less than an hour.

Would the pre-signed papers have to be dated? So maybe not work..

You could authorise your wife to insert the date on the transfers with a Power of Attorney (the date to be just prior to your demise) .

Anyway, aside from that, you can now eliminate your sleeping shareholders. Earlier this month the Thailand Commercial Code (Section 1097) was amended and now only 2 director/shareholders are required instead of 3.

just wondering if those users are  having problems with their medication being delivered, especially this month?

No problems - I had placed an order with Medisafe earlier this month. It was delivered by Line Man courier the next day.

Mine says issued 2012 and expiry 2024 so next year and that is correct.

i renewed mine 5 years ago just after my birthday, so it would be valid for almost 6 years.

Yes, in fact in my own case the DL was issued in 2009 (being for my first 5 yr licence) as the 1 yr licence was issued in 2008. Since then I have done 3 renewals straight after my birthday (i.e., renewed for 6 years not 5), which adds up to 18 years between the issue date and current expiry date.

Similarly, the Op got his first 5 yr licence in 2015 (issue date), and with the current expiry date of 2027, he may have gotten a renewal in 2021 (6 yrs), plus another 6 yrs bringing him to the current 2027 expiry date.

  5. I got a 60 day extension to my 30 day visa exempt entry last Sept for the purpose of visiting Thai wife.

I had initially gone to CW where I filed a fresh TM30, and then sought to apply for the 60 day extension for visiting Thai wife.

The CW staff were adamant that I must go to IT Square at Laksi for such an extension.

Anyway, rathen than argue we then took the quick cab ride to IT Square and got the 60 day extension done there in about 30 minutes.

(I noted that most of the other applicants there seemed to be applying for 30 day extensions for tourism though.)

Bumping this one to see if anyone has recently acquired a one-year , multiple-entry Non-O based on marriage at the RTC in Ho Chi Minh City.

I got my 12mth M/E Non O for marriage in HCMC in October 2022. I did my online booking via the consulate's website 2 weeks in advance and followed their document requirements. All went smoothly, with approval received the next day.

  7. It shouldn't matter (but might, depending upon the attitude of the staff at that particular DLT office). For example, my yellow tabien baan and TM30 filing are registered in Bangkok but I do my 5 yr driver licence renewal in Petchaburi rather than Mo Chit or Bangchak as the staff in Petchaburi DLT office are quick and cheerful, and accept by Bangkok address without question.

In your case it's unclear whether either of your tabien baans' are yellow or both blue. If they're both blue then you will need a residence letter from the immigration office where you file your 90 day reports.

  8. In your case I would go to another DLT office (such as DLT Bangchak) that accept the Yellow Tabien Baan as proof of address, and save your self the hassle of obtaining Resid-Cert Letter from Immigration. However for Bangchak you'll need to make an appointment, unsure about others but I believe that DLT Mo Chit there is a quota of Foreigner renewals of 20 per day that fills up quickly (NB: my info is a year old - not recent).

If you decide to persevere with DLT Rama 2 then you'll need the Immigration office that you have filed your 90 day reports to issue the Resid-Cert Letter (should be CW and not Phayathai?). Unsure about the Embassy Letter as my Embassy doesn't certify addresses.

  9. The larger tide is normal in December in Cha-am & Hua Hin. However currently the low tide isn't until about 3am, so that's a bit of a double whammy. I was there earlier this week, and the waves were hitting the steps from central to south Cha-Am beach, although the northern end was still very sandy.

  10. You can order these from Medisafe Pharmacy in Bangkok, and they will arrange delivery (to most locations in Thailand).

For the Atorvastatin, they sell a generic (imported from India) that is much cheaper than Lipitor/Sandoz. Unsure about the Metoprolol, best you send them a message. They usually reply within an hour and arrange prompt delivery (for Bangkok it's next day, for your location probably 2-3 days).

  11. I've often used the DHL offices in Interchange21 in Asoke (un the arcade) , and in Emquartier (adjacent to the cinema) and they've always been staffed who incidentally generally seem to be efficient in sorting out my parcels. In addition to giving them the address, and paying the money you will also be required to show ID (passport, pink card or Thai DL), after which you can then leave.

Is there any truth in Grab are x2 price of metered cars in your experience ?

I had to take a taxi from Phrom Phong to Chaengwattana earlier this month. Grab quoted 533 baht on the app, so instead we flagged down a meter taxi and it cost only 245 baht. So yes my experience in that case was that Grab costs twice as much.
