A non-immigrant B visa is not required as a precondition for buying the business. After acquisition is completed, and if you intend being an active owner and drawing salary etc. then you will need the business visa.

Papaya Watch in MBK and CTW are a well established secondary market dealer in Rolex and Patek. I've bought & sold previously from Papaya and happy with the authenticity and service. Other trusted dealers to consider are ABAC Watch in Thonglor, and Cherry Watch on the other side of the river.

Is this video in an app does anyone know? And which app as there are several.
The video/test are on this DLT website including link to the apps.

Please report back once you're done at DLT Chatuchak, as from what you're wife is saying it seems you may not have to do the reaction & peripheral vision tests etc.?

Following the advise of an earlier poster here, I tried USTVGO.TV . Then went to their channel listing and tried ESPN2. I watched the SkySports pre-race coverage and the race in full, live as shown on SkySports. No VPN necessary. Other channels are available. Some require a VPN and others don't. I passed this on to a friend, who also said it was successful.
I went to the True office in the Ruam Chok Tesco Lotus complex. They did not have any information on future channels, but they did give me a 20% discount for six months on my Gold Package. I hope this all works for you.Thanks. I tested USTVGO.TV by watching the Long Beach Indycar race on NBC Sports using a VPN, and was happy with the picture quality and lack of buffering, so that should be a good solution for the F1.
Regarding your True Visions Gold, as an existing subscriber did you simply walk into their outlet and requested what they were doing about motorsports, and they offered you the discount, or did you request compensation for loss of the channels and they immediately offered you the discount?

With Fox Sports Asia's final F1 broadcast this evening of the F1 GP in Sochi I'm feeling anxious about how to watch the race live from October onwards. It seems that some neighbouring countries have already got this sorted, e.g., Astro in Malaysia have launched a new sports channel that will broadcast F1 (with similar positive developments in SG, PH and HK).
Hoping that True Visions can announce a new deal soon, or alternatively F1 granting approval for Thailand to have F1 TV Pro access, otherwise may need to consider a Sky Sports F1 subscription at GBP25 p/mth.

First I've heard that one; going just after your birthday gives the extra year(ish).
That's been the case with my renewals at DLT 3 in Bangchak for more than 10 years. always renew after expiry for that extra year bonus.

I can access the DLT Smart queue using the Covid 13 digit reference number but it keeps querying the date I input and will not let me go any further.
Anyone know how to get around this issue?
thanks
If you're talking about inputting your DOB it needs to be strictly ddmmyyyy with no slash/ or dots. separating the numbers, otherwise the system will not accept it.

I checked with Samitivej Sukh. in March this year, and at that time, only Zostavax was available (with no news as to when Shingrix would become available in Thailand).

Hi, I need to submit my eyesight test to Service NSW within the next month. However, despite conducting numerous online searches I have been unable to locate and download the Eyesight Report form. I also emailed Service NSW and whilst they answered some of my queries they ignored others including my request for the form.
Therefore, would you kindly share a link of where you received the form, thanks.
Can ignore my above post, as I now have received a copy of the correct eyesight test form from Service NSW.

Yes, they will send you the report that the optometrist needs to complete (attached).
Due to proximity I went to the aforementioned Siam Optic and they had all the necessary equipment (that BKK Vision Center didn’t) to complete the report. Pretty sure all other mentioned hospital eye clinics will also have the required equipment.
Not sure why all the extra testing is required on this report compared to the very basic “read a chart from a distance, then do it with each eye covered” tests at their service centres…
Thanks again to those who assisted.

My second is due in 3 weeks. First one with THAITRUAMJAI PROJECT at SCG Bangsue.
If I don't get an SMS before then, I have no idea how I can get a second shot within the 12 weeks.
I see that project is giving out Astra Zeneca at some Central malls in bkk.
No way to call and find out if I can walk in. Might just have to go ask..
I'm in the same boat. I received SMS's from Thai Ruam Jai on 25th July and 17th August (to check whether I had side-affect symptoms) with the link to their website that contains my vax details. Given that they're already been SMS'ing me, I will be patient for another 3 weeks waiting for the 2nd dose appointment confirmation by their next SMS.
I saw in a post earlier this month from another who was frustrated at being unable to directly contact Thai Ruam Jai to check on his next vax appointment, so he physically went back to SCG Bangsue to ask the staff there. Surprisingly the staff asked whether he wanted his 2nd jab there and then, so he said yes and ended up receiving it a month earlier than the norm.

QuoteNow that Thai banks are no longer assume responsibilities for our money in their safe keeping and among other reasons,
Not exactly, it's the government guarantee for certain bank deposits that has fallen away (gradually and transparent manner) since the GFC. You still have a bank guarantee from mostly investment grade Thai banks for your deposits, just no longer a government guarantee. The banks remain responsible for your money deposited with them.
In fact, if you bank with one of the 5 'systemically important banks' in Thailand, then there is no question that the Bank of Thailand/Government would support them in a liquidity crisis.
Quotei'm looking for the best and way to remit back big chunks of THB to AUD, meaning best institution to do it with and also
If big chunk means up to 2MB, then consider Dee Money is probably your best option. The account set up is quite painless, quick and doesn't require a visit to their office. I set up an account with them early this month via online and SMS.

If you're passing through Bangkok, then this firm has a good range of dash cams in stock and can do the installation for you.

I know it’s now Lotus’s but to people like me who’ve been here many years it will always be Tesco and if it had become a Big C we would still refer to it as the old Tesco.
and then there are those that remember in the mid-1990's when it was simply Lotus, before Tesco's takeover post-1997 Asian Financial Crisis prompting the name change to Tesco Lotus.

I recall that sometime in the last 5 years the law was loosened so as to allow discretion for a foreigner with a WP to work pan-Thailand and not just at the designated physical address noted in the WP.

Were you able to guesstimate how many shots were being given under the embassy scheme?
I estimate there would have been about 300 foreigners being processed whilst I was there, so for the whole today perhaps less than a thousand. Of the other foreigners there it seemed the Japanese were processed before lunch and in the session immediately after lunch I noticed Australians and Canadians mostly. I reckon a cap of 200 per nationality (which mostly seems to comprise Quad/5 Eyes allies of Japan excl. UK) under this scheme.

Province: Bangkok
Date: 18th July 2021 (Sunday)
Location: SCG Office at Bang Sue
Are you over 60/chronically ill?: No/No
How did you register?: Using the Australian Embassy link as per their FB/Twitter message issued last Friday evening (16th July). Confirmatory email subsequently received form the Embassy at 11:11AM Saturday for vaccination to occur at SCG Office at 1PM Sunday.
Vaccination received: Yes
If yes, Type of vaccine : AZ
Other Remarks: According to one of the SCG Supervisory staff onsite yesterday this batch of AZ came from last week's donation of 1M doses by the Japanese Govt which came with a condition to share a portion with foreigners resident in Thailand; I arrived there at about midday and was finished by 2:30PM; Was impressed by the efficient process and positive attitude of the Thai staff from SCG and the Health Authorities; No confirmed date for 2nd dose in October was provided however the staff said they will issue the 2nd dose appointment date via SMS during October.

“Five businesses which will be allowed to open in Bangkok and can go back to service EFFECTIVE MONDAY, JUNE 14TH while implementing Covid-19 preventative measures are museums and similar attractions, public parks and botanical parks, beauty clinics, massage shops (foot massages only), nail shops and tattoo shops.” The statement from the PM said.
Still no mention of fitness centres / condo gyms re-opening.

Thank you for your reply!
Of course you are right. So when in the wrong thread, my posting may be deleted or moved to a more appropriate thread. Sorry!
Seems you weren't required to do the physical tests, i.e., breaking/reaction/peripheral vision tests etc?

I can't remember the name but it was in the building opposite side of Sukhumvit Rd to Robinson's at Termimal 21 and I walked through Robinsons and across the skywalk to the opposite side building to get there. The dentist was on the same level and down the back left side and there was a Botox Clinic on the same side. They also did general dentistry and whitening ect.
I had been going to that dentist in Times Square (Thai Smile) over the past 5 years. I had a tooth ache earlier this year so made an appointment to return however discovered that their Time Square branch closed late last year.
They now operate out of Gaysorn Plaza (click on website in the Google search that another poster on this thread provided) , so that's where I went in Feb this year, and had 'deep cleaning of the roots' done. Same staff that were in Time Square branch are not at the Gaysorn branch.
